Well done man! I enjoyed this, the freshness of it and the immediacy of it give it a natural and believable take on life. The vocals and words are to the point. Your job as the singer is to get the listener to delve into the story you are telling. To me, an honest delivery doesn't come from rehearsing something to death, there has to be some spontaneous, emotional aspect to it that will deliver your message effectively.
I sing everything off the top of my head, nothing is written down till after. I will go back to sing something better or to change some words or add more vocals to parts but it's made up as I go back to record them.
Pretty nice track. It sounds like Hall and Oates, if you had them singing on this it would be a hit! Philly sounding r n b. Mix is well done, soothing soft mix for a relaxing track.
I see you have a collab request posted. I was noodling some short melodies and phrases here and there on my acoustic to this. Would that be something you might want to add? I could even give you a couple dry tracks of me trying things thru the song which you could chop up and/or pick and choose what parts go where and how much you want to add to the production. Basically it would be giving you a bunch of loops to pick through. Let me know.
Yes, I thing it has flavors of Philly RnB and a bit of Motown as well. I’ve got a couple of tracks that need a Barry White type vocalist, some others meant for somebody along the lines of Marvin Gaye, some that were my attempt to write an R. Kelly song, and some that definitely are influenced by Hall and Oates.
I really like Hall and Oates. And, I just ate up every episode of “Daryl’s House”. They are both great musicians and songwriters.
Yes, I’d definitely be interested in getting your noodling on the track. I will PM you with my email address so we can get connected on that.
Thank you for explaining who HPL was. I googled it and i got the Houston Public Library, Hartford Public Library, high pressure laminate....he.
Great piece of music man! Mind bending, trippy stuff. Very creative. Sounds like it was made with all 60's and 70's loop machines like the ones Pink Floyd used and 70's synths like the Prophet or mini Moog.
Hello my friend and thank you for your kind review, I'm glad you liked my song. Indeed as you have noticed the use of rather vintage style sounds. I'm glad you now know HPL too, if you are interested in learning more I recommend the stories: "The shadow over Innsmouth" and "The Call of Cthulhu".
A cordial greeting
Marco
Here we go!! This hard rock is seldom uploaded here. It's a solid track. On the production side I would try making the output a bit louder but nonetheless this rocks. Well done folks!
Very cool man! You went from your dark ages to your enlightenment recently. I always thought you brought a unique approach to the music scene here. This is great, has an acoustic pop feel with all the Eno/Lanois effects to make it yours.
It has pop sensibilities, an urban beat with experimental electronic bits and interesting lyrics. I'm trying to think more about the middle change...yeah that works, cool change. Well done!
hey Wayne, it is such a pleasure to see your comments wherever they occur because you’re a truly thoughtful listener. thank you for your kind and insightful words. stay well, buddy!
So sorry to hear about your loss Maj. I took some time away for a similar reason. To lose someone close is such a tough thing to deal with and my heart goes out to you and your family. Hopefully you can use music to help get through what you are going through.
Thank you very much for the feedback my dear friend.
Mate, what one can say , you have been through this tough pain my friend it is unendurable and wish that no one in gods earth have to go through it.
I really like to thank you for your sincere and warm comforting words my friend.
Your words were like a warm blanket on the freezing shoulders my friend.
Thank you very much again mate.

Well produced and mixed song, the lows sound great, lots to be interested in while listening. The vox is well mixed although I think the song stands on it's own without them. An upbeat track for sure.
Nice track, has pop sensibilities, will appeal to a larger listening audience because of that. Nice collaboration between friends, great you all have a vision for the song and it came out decent, well done!
Cool, spacey sounds take the listener on a trip to the inside of R2D2's mind or to the far off planet of Aldebaran. Nice job, trippy, planetarium music.
I did just what your description said and it worked. Relaxed and appreciative of the composition. Has a Tubular Bells feel but in a different more positive vibe and a cool vibes sound to it. Very well put together, I enjoyed it!
Pretty cinematic track, sounds like from the Bladerunner or a sci fi suspense movie. Plenty to keep me interested, good changes, intro, breaks... all cool. Some neat synth work, you seemed to really get what you were looking for for sounds to build the soundscape and create the feel you wanted.
The intro was right out of a Clint Eastwood western, I can smell and taste that half smoked cigar as I listen. I would consider that part an interlude, a separate track introducing the piece to follow and connected to it in some way. The main piece is raw, dirty and swampy and I can dig that! Nice composition overall.
Thanks Wayne :D The intro was messing about on my new Gunslinger guitar making a soundcheck video, I got in the swap. I really liked it so added it in. Great description! I wish I could share pictures here, it's a skeleton cowboy smoking a cigar, strung with acoustic strings with a ghosted (hidden under the lid) magnetic flat humbucker pick up. Yes they work but a bit quieter than electrics. It does have quite an old western kind of sound. It did seem to fit with the following I recorded for the video showing all the guitars that were swapped, what a BLAST that was! :D Always a pleasure Wayne, wish I could hang around here as much as I used to!! I do alot with the cbg groups on fb these days. There's no hope but to build more LOL!!
Planet Yuggoth sucks, the parking there is terrible! And the lines for the rides on the equinadon rex are just staggering. Ain't going back there man, never again! ;)
Hahaha, my friend, on Yuggoth there is also a bad climate (it rains ammonia) and finding a good hamburger is really impossible ... Thanks for your funny comment.
Best wishes Marco
Turn and twist those knobs, keep manipulating those plugins or whatever it is you do because this is strange, a little weird but it's also interesting and different. Creative track!
This is a neat collab and the song certainly takes you on a musical trip. Some cool parts/changes all thru the track accompanied by some great instrument choices and the arrangement kept me quite intrigued, I was wondering was was around the next bend in the track. The vocals were a nice touch too!
In a couple months he will be gone and then he will go to jail for money laundering along with many other crimes he's committed. I feel so bad for these communities being assaulted and people being kidnapped by unmarked "police". It's Nixon all over again, the "law and order" prez, yeah right.
I think your track captures the tense feelings of anger and frustration that people are experiencing across the country. The clips certainly add chaos and mayhem to the picture. Nice job putting this together, mix is tight and sounds right!
This track was definitely meant to capture the tension, anger and drive of the people. .Even though the protests are consolidated in one small area of Portland, you can definitely feel the tension all over the city. Personally, I agree with their cause, and if I didn't have kids to think about, I'd be right down there with them.
Thank you for taking the time to listen and comment. I always appreciate it.
Absolutely nothing wrong with this, great vibe, great execution musically and with the mix. Everything sounds great, clear and purposeful. Put me in a relaxed, chilled out mood, thanks!
Thank you much Wayne. I appreciate your comments my friend and the fav too. I really had fun creating this track. The world can use some chill and relax. 2020 has been rough for so many.
First off, I like the mix, solid, open. Cool collab, got no complaints or criticisms, thought the lead could have been a bit louder around 2:10 but so minor a suggestion. Dig it man!
Hey Wayne, your wish is my command bro. I checked it out and sure enough that lead was on a lower volume than the others(?) so I leveled it up and yeah you were right, sounds better. So, as always thanks for the feedback, especially when it involves improving the track.
Just throwing things together is how I make music, mostly. Sometimes you surprise yourself and produce something different that you may underestimate as sucking or maybe no one will like. Sometimes that isn't the case.
Cool! Keep having fun, that's what this is all about.
Hey Wayne. Thanks for your time with listening and commenting! I agree, sometimes it's best not to start a new track with any intentions, just start playing and putting sounds together. Sometimes it does suck but sometimes you make something cool that didn't exist in the world. :)
