Faved for the whole bridge/outro at 2.29 and on.
I am not being sarcastic when I say that may be one of the most epic things I have ever heard.
It reminds me a lot of Danny Elfman.. why? I have NO idea lol.
Thanks Avidlife. mI really enjoy your commenst because you write quality music and have an eclectic range of taste.
I wrote that peice in 2004. My music at current, that is the past two months, is much more mainstream oriented. Trying to put some music together for release. I can some of my more esoteric pieces out later.
The outro is by far my favorite part as well...I really hate the too high wierd guitar in the beginning, but hey, what can you do.
The string part is quite good as well, but the outro is the class. You know it is good when my budddy Phil says, "Wtf is that". He only eats fried chicken and hamburgers.
Faving just cause of the GUN cocking hi-hat opening thing lol.
the breathy stuff sounded really centered, maybe reverbed up a bit it may fall back in the mix..
I love how your music asks questions and then answers to itself... very cool spiral effect to your harmonies!
regardless of that,

Can I ask you personal question? when mastering this? i really like it on speakers, but in my headphones it feels quiet?
What do you feel about mastering?
Or, is there any process you do?
Or you know... whatever?
Just curious?
hehe you made me smile with your review..... thanks for that
and about the other thing
i don't really know which is the best way for mastering, but when i do my track in reason 4 i open a compressor and a maximizer for EACH instrument tweaking it to imporve audio. Also i make some tweaks at the Master Mixer's EQ with the purpose of preventing the sounds blocking each other.
and that's much it what i do.
but one thing is true : Mastering is hard sometimes because if you change just a little and i mean just a little of the mastering procces and all the track sounds completely different.
But oh well.....
i am glad you like it gonna hear some stuff from you
story telling. FAVED.
I just don't hear this kinda rap enough!...
damn man.. very very cool.
awesome effects.. DOWNLOAD.
I thought about the glitch/delay stuff you got goin on? i woulda liked more variation, but rhythmically, but fantastic job nonetheless. furthermore I was thinking about your mastering on this, it's really impeccable, but i thought about overhead visuals in my musical minds eye.. the overdubs sounded a little claustrophobic, but then again, it really makes you FEEL the content.

Duke of Earl?...
PS.
Make sure you set your ID3 settings and your /properties "settings" for this track...

thanks i really appreciate it, yeah i need to work with the effects and getting them exactly how i want them, i sent this man the beat and he just rapped over it i would've liked to have my hands even deeper in the creative process but im some what satisfied. and with mastering i'm just starting to learn about it i know a little, i just use izotope ozone and and get the EQ how i want it... i appreciate the feedback lets stay in touch add me on myspace im going to posting up more work as soon as i get the chance
all you need is some melody, and you got this beast bouncin.
there's a lot of room for experimentation on guitar freq, piano, string, some bass?.... can you picture anything mentally sounding awesome over this? i would love a .wma!

yeah, I know CIS, I'm good friends with them, awesome guys, gonna check out their show on the 23rd.
I was thinking about adding some vocals, but I guess I haven't really found the right sample yet. No distortion was added to the drums, but I'm guessing that some tape saturation added to the sound (recorded on 4-track), and disorted it a bit, but I did cut out some mid on on the final mix, to give a bit more kick.
man.. that musta took a lot of work!

In regard to the EQing. This is my main fault and one I dislike and at the same time embrace.
I want to change the overdriveness of it, but mean the DevoDale accapella says, "Make you wanna listen" in such a desperate manner, I have to keep it.
It bothers me at moments, but some music is meant to bother as moments.

However, the song does need a thourogh cleaning. Which I will try to get to this weekend.

Not just "recite" the song!
Really talented man... Love the leading 7ths and subtonics...
...
You are clipping just a little.. but it's negligible.
Keep it up!
Dude it's on the way - THANK YOU so much for your input regarding this track, I've got so much respect for you bro - and I love your review style, it's kinda similar to mine in that it reads like thoughts you were having as you listened to it, reads like you're speaking in real time. ---- /// UPDATED - which DAW do you use if you still can cuz that is really where i'm having the trouble.
well change is hopeless now, this is 1 of 3 that the fruity loop files died after a crash i had and afterwards i reformated my whole hard drive with a department of defense hard drive disk cleaner!
layering is perfect!
impeccable mastering...
Break was VERY cool.
You know, ... I wished at some point some real sounding guitar and real drums came in.. but then again, stylistically, i understand how that doesn't always fit in "industrial"...
Maybe wanted the synth more in my face to be honest???... but to get that without losing some of the good low mid freqs you got--- might be troublesome...
regardless... this makes me irate.
and full of resolve. Something about.. pantera comes to mind... why am i thinking about mouth for war?? weird...
I love it!
Dude, I am gonna put this on my iPod and listen to it.
Yeah honestly i only messed with the Drums like once its a hardcore techno loop and the guitars were extracted from like a 5 minute jam session with it, its been abandoned for like a week or two now so if you wanna tinker with it lemme know and you can adopt it! dont know about PanterA's mouth for war but im sure there stuff bleeds through my styles as much if not alot more than other bands!
buzz? grounds out?? suckage.. you can solder that shizz...
gotta be straight with you right now....
Nice to meet your music... I think you and I are gonna collab someday, if that's cool with you...
you will dig my tracks... i can already tell...
My favorite part is by far your toying with the double time and the half time pads(err NOT PADS, but... the melodic content)... it's almost like it's entangling everything into this claustrophobia...
You talking about the mic weirdenss fo buzz and stuff? I dunno i think i just had a ac running in the other room honestly, i have already done some work on the mic cord with a solder gun and re insulated it all wll with heat shrink tube so it was probvally the AC I dunno not to worried about it if something ever got going on a pro level i will just re-record them haha! then ill also get a real wind screen instead of a sock haha! Ok im gonna check out some of your other reviews then ill come and check out your tracks!

I love the hand tailored effect usage ...

i wanted this to rape my ears, and it felt like it made love to them more...

impeccable mastering...
Something about.. pantera comes to mind... why am i thinking about mouth for war?? weird...
I love it!
Dude, I am gonna put this on my iPod and listen to it.

gotta be straight with you right now....
Nice to meet your music... I think you and I are gonna collab someday, if that's cool with you...
you will dig my tracks... i can already tell...
My favorite part is by far your toying with the double time and the half time pads(err NOT PADS, but... the melodic content)... it's almost like it's entangling everything into this claustrophobia...
kinda like a coffin city from a cadillac...
dig it a lot.
