yeah, this tune i tried to change things up a bit.
tried to make it more dub influenced.
it was experiment to see how well i could make a REAL dub beat.
im sure i need to incorporate more reggae influences into it, but hey its a start.
i like the strings for the intro but would chance them furter in the track, try puting some gate on the synth strings and Sidechain them to the hi hat to make the strings folow your hihat rythem.
if you using ableton here's a exemple of Ableton Live Tutorial - Using the Sidechain Gate on Synths & Drums http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ux7qb5e98k
dub.. is the upbeats....
but on this... i wanted duped.
I think to really go off of the known trail here...
I want some vocal samples, but hardcoded and effected beyond all belief..
I also wanted some double time delay.. on the 1/8 notes fading..?
meh?
really
really
cool
I think you should duplicate the drums, make 4 drum tracks, and then keep it simple...
cut levels accordingly, and keep stuff from clipping, but then mix all of them OFF of your reverb effect.. or your send track... and just make this LUSCIOUS!
I want this to kiss my ears!
it felt liked this licked em.
meh?
first off, was it a "dog licks your face" kinda lick or a "ima rock yo world" lick? hahaha jkjk
yeah im feelin the vocal samples, but i just gotta do some research to get some more good ones.
i think i might have to layer up the drums cuz the volume is almost on 0, but i cant turn it down too much cuz then i lose note velocity.
i like the how you got that nice ambiance going with those chords.
if i had to criticizes it in any way, id say, get some swing on the hit hats (and a little on the snares) to make the beat sound slightly more broken...
yeah i feel ya on the swingin hi hats.
thats funny cuz i told my friend earlier that im gettin into the swinging swaggin hi hats yet i didnt put it in the song haha
appreciate the advice butcher!
will keep in mind

With other words, it´s just a cover, made by me.
