on Let Me C U Shake by StaySiccRecords
dig that!

gotta love the northwest musicians...

Can't really comment or complain... It is totally set up for vocals but their ain't none...

I like crazy glitch drum beats, and this has a semblence of glitch, soo cool stuff..

still... you need someone telling a story on this.
soo uhh
yeah...

The rhodes is dope ... but really getting on my nerves after 4 minutes of the same thing...
jump 3 steps or something... make a story out of it musically too

just from my perspective, and I can't see the waveform, bass frequencies may be a bit too boosted... Not hundred percent positive..

good stuff.
enjoy the rain.

on KINEMATIC by siensystem
wow, listen to the spread on this!
YES, a trance song that actually moves in keys!! yay!

that's really lovely man..
Thank you for the download man, you are too generous...
you should get a simple press kit, and start hitting up labels man.. you "have" something.

You just make great freaking music SIENSystem...
hahah we should collab and make a pop song sometime lol

sorry I have been a b*tch, I am still coming to terms with the whole loss thing..

You are a beast man, this has at least 4 melodies calling and responding to each other, and it's all saying the same thing.
Then to top off the bass.. good bass.. For some reason I am craving a saw bass for some reason... it's probably cause I haven't ate dinner.

Great title, ... I dunno if kinematic is the word that pops to mind... I think of joy..

As always with trance, if it makes me trance out, then essentially it's a trance track...
something about the claps being kinda right kinda messed with me.. not good or bad.. just "noticed" it, when I wanted to just let this digital wave wash over me.
Yeah...
this track needs to be volume 11 :p, and i wanted the claps a little more center or stereo spread.

Fantastic track.
one of the best trance songs I have ever heard.
(I cracked lol ;)

Hey Alividlife,

How have you been my friend, its been a few days :) Hope all is well and I can understand how you must be feeling, but no stress man, just keep your head up; I always say.

I've been a bit busy as well. I finally got midi to work with vx4 and can now send midi data from any of the tools i use...it only took 3 days to figure out what was going wrong! But I was happy like a kid on Christmas day.

Thanks for coming by, I'm glad you've liked this one and you know, I do agree with you on that clap. I'm surprised you caught it cuz it is one of the things I wanted to change, but, I updated this one so many times that the last time I thought, blah, just leave it alone. lol.

But oh well. Thanks my friend, catcha you laters.

on Omega Centauri (Noise Fragments) by siensystem
hi sien!

you are effing amazing...

this is the music for sleep... or even the concious mind..

INCREDIBLE, rocks me to my core man....

Something about you pairing these images and then the sounds they illicit is really something else....

I mean, I have heard plenty of ambient artists, but none of them have this ... .. how do I explain? You have this punk rock ambient thing.. lol
that's the best way to explain it...
it's juxtaposing this immense wonder of our world and it's subtle layers, with this ... cold.. and calculated love...

amazing..

Damnit, I wanna soo do a collab with you lol...

But also, since I know you aren't soo keen on mastering?
I was thinking about taking the few tracks you have from this "Universe" album and linking them straight up across the board, and mixing them evenly and properly, so if you do decide to promote yourself and send it off to labels, your album will have a natural sound state from track to track?

regardless, I can't wait till you start doing images of earth!
wink wink wink

I like your avatar!
wow.. almost has the digital performers Air drumming from 2000hertz... not in like.. a bad way.. I think that's amazing!

I got a player error, so I had to download, but I am sure I am going to rock this on my iPod...

Vocals really really make this amazing... the whole story and pretense is really something I love...

A bit loud on the production side... But, I like that too....
Clipping a bit...

I really like the mood, and the synths!
Keep it up!

on Totems from the Diaspora by n0mad23
hasn't this evolved ehh?

I can't say much more really... Or about myself...
I hope all is well Sean!
I threw my phone into a gutter, and I shed my skin hearing this..
This has seriously evolved...
I can't believe it compared to the original..

You walk a fine line, and you do it in complete style.
Keep it up!
And I hope all negative vibes find their place!
It's in the emptiness that there is complete and pure pain or am I off?
SOrry for the cryptic review..
totems from diaspora indeed!
n0mad23
n0mad23 replied Unknown
And the voice cried, "Know thyself!" before the skin sluffed and shed...and that too was added to the Totem. Actually Abe, a cryptic review from you is like a breath of perfumed air, (apple orchard in springtime bloom) and I'm honored you had a listen to this one. You're right - it has evolved significantly from its first attempt, and one I'm really happy with. Stale World Music bootstrapped dynamically into Something Else entirely. My favorite moment is towards the end, when the Egyptian fiddles slide in and the drums pan insanely before the pygmy refrain returns. To me, that's what this song's all about - we are all without exception children of the diaspora. Thanks for this review, Abe. It means more than you know.

meeeowww
lol

ima about to change my avatar anyway...

I think ...
that this ...
well see? isn't it up to the listener? when an "artist" free-thinking and such... that you can say this could be punk in attitude, trance in layout, dub in performance, and weird in content..

sounds like art to me!

I am a music wh0re, so of course, i wish dynamically it popped more and was deeper in sound content (not actual content)

it reminded me of trying to get my act together lol

very interesting..

I have fallen in love with your style, and I plan on contacting you stat.

It's almost ethereal...

siensystem replied Unknown
LOL!!! Yeah, I tend to be a bit lazy with things like EQ/Comp even mixing. Man, I'm really glad that someone has liked these little projects. I was inspired by the images of these bodies and when I started I didn't get much until about my 10th try. I exhausted a few galaxies, planets and stars trying out NGC 7293, NGC 5128, NGC 6751, Mars, the sun, and many others. Hopefully I can try again and see if I can make more, I also like them allot, they calm me :) And yes, please feel free to contact me for anything, I like to help as much as I can and I consider myself pretty laid back and down to earth (even though my mind is in the sky!) hehe

on Minor Setback by Spivkurl
Yeah! you definitely have a theme!
I like that!
(musically in this track, and artistically)

most people just randomly throw stuff together without a theme...
Deffo got a theme..
I wish I could learn more about this circuit bent theory from you...

Mastering is where you have a lot of opportunities... I feel... mastering to me, is about pulling out all of the sounds, and giving them a right place...
allowing pitch and frequency to lay flat against a constant moving speaker... kinda....
EDIT
I don't feel that I am infallible or a master at mastering btw..
your mastering is great!
I just think this could shine more with more left and right disparities, and perhaps higher frequencies.. I may be wrong...

I tend to do metal type mastering, but if you don't mind, i could totally bring out some stuff??

I love it...

I realize this is a bit older of your work...

It's still a really amazing track!!
Faved, downloaded

Spivkurl
Spivkurl replied Unknown
Hi friend, thank you for reviewing, faving, and downloading!

I appreciate what you said about me having a theme, I try my best. Which leads me to what you've said about mastering. I used to try and master my tracks to perfection, with some pretty good results. More recently I've been using mastering as an artistic tool, generally to help give my tracks a signature sound.

This track I think is still lacking a bit, like you've said. I don't know if I'll be going back to it though. Probably because some of the tracks I did around this time bore me a bit. :)

I appreciate your thorough review though, and I'll take your suggestions to heart on my newer works. Thank you much!

I just got a be straight up honest...

If i even didn't even know you -- I would still REALLY dig this..

But since I kinda do, you get bonus points lol

To me...
Honestly, there is this element of DNA, twisting and pulling in and out of the essence of this track....
LIFE!!!

F8CK LIFE!!!--- IT'S EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!

In my youth, i Figure, F8CK the world... but in the woods,, in the deep lost... you know when .. like you don't know if you will survive...
Hunting, and surviving, I can hear this...

I hear a semblance of that?
On the flipside,
This track is more gangster than any hip-hop OR rap track lol :)
and you can quote me on that.
this is amazing.

this one is like chernobyl, on of my favorite pieces of yours, ... I love your legato phrasing..

I would love to learn more from you man!

Hey Abe..thank you for the great review..your comments are as insightful as they are graphic..I think it's interesting to note that certain styles that profess to be hype laden, rely more on their labels than their content..In any dialogue irrespective of it's format the actual message can have many guises and then invariably it's the intent that matters...thanks for tapping into the hidden aspects...I'm just one of an infinite number of monkeys with a typewriter..cheers Dave :)

actually its NOT ableton.
strictly FL9. haha
i dont have a MIDI controller therefore ableton for me is pointless :/

i just use ALOT of vst plugins.
only instruments i use from FL9 are the drums, and maybe some tweaked effects.

and Dubstep, to me, is alot more than just hip hop/hi hat in half time. it all really depends on where you draw your influences from. Dubstep was originally drawn from UK Garage music and mixed in with true Reggae music. ill get more into that in the email with ya tho.

my intention of the song was straight, GRIME.
im all about the grime, however i do have a soft side.

thanks for downloading and recommending my tracks homie! ill be sure to answer any questions regarding my mastering process.
