I felt like reviewing a new track of yours ste!
but I already reviewed your 2 newest tracks so I now choose this one...

Like KoolKyle said, this is a classic trance track that's nice!
But I can also hear a nice dembow type pattern in it (which I'm kinda getting addicted to...)

One piece of advice:
I can hear at the beginning that you used the Fruit Kick, which is nice, but there's also still a tiny bit of 'click' in it..
I THINK it would be better if you put that clicky, snappy bit all the way off....

peace ste!

-Weazel

I got a new track up as well, check it out plz!

I've got plans to remake this track, so all the flaws in this track should get wroked out soon :)

In fact.. what I might do, is remake a load of older tracks and mix them all together..

But thanks for the review!

this is cool, isnt like those crazy tearoutyoureardrums dubstep tunes ive heard sometimes. most of the DS tunes i like are kinda like this, slow and heavy, not too insane, just chillin, kinda like a secret agent. and with that bass, i always kill myself to get an only amazing sounding bass, but youve shown me a different way to use the basslines, so thanks for that.

and yes... WAY TOO SHORT! add a break and then bring it on home is my suggestion
StephenPotter
StephenPotter replied Unknown
Add a break and bring it on home... or maybe make a new track completely seems like a better idea to me. But I'm glad you liked the track, still need time to practise Dubstep, but once I get better I'll post another.. if I get better, that is. This might be as good as my dubstep gets.. I hope not though, not too happy with this track, but its good enough to stay on for now.

Thanks for the review!

A lot of the stuff I've been making isn't fully finished, and I want to make a full track for once rather than demos or short tracks, but I'm remaking a bunch of my older tracks, so hopefully I can do something with them.

I'm learning and getting better, but no-ones going to see it for now.

Thanks for the review!

This was a very fun track to listen to! There are some awesome sounds in there! The timing of your glitches was perfect! The drums are sweet! I like the amount of reverb that you used, it's good for this style. Really nice work!

StephenPotter replied Unknown
One reply at a time.. Glad you liked the track, I don't think its as good as it could be, I think I need more sounds imbetween of my recycled samples.

Thanks for the review, will get back to reviewing your tracks soon!

Wow, lots of reviews on this one! I really enjoyed the bounciness of this track, definitely lives up to the dance genre. Great bass line! Those sound effects are quite cool too! You really know what you're doing! I'd love to hear this with some killer vocals too, but it's top notch as it is. Nice work!
StephenPotter
StephenPotter replied Unknown
Sorry for all the late replies, I've been REALLY busy recently. I think I may have mentioned already that I lost half the sounds in this track, but I'm not too fussed because now I can make the track sound better, a remake is on its way.. don't know how long it will take.

Thanks for the review!

Hey Ste

Had to check out this babe, saw something about in a thread that you were doing a Hip Hop, mate have done a very good job on this for your first attempt, maybe you might have the knack for this genre, as you do with the others that you put your hand too, great beat, wicked bassline my friend, great synths, love everything about it, excellent Ste, very impressive for first go...fav'd...Keep em coming my friend...Peace n Respect Ste...Estefano....

StephenPotter replied Unknown
Sorry for the long wait for the reply, but I've been really busy. I know I normally reply quickly to reviews like this, but I've had to prioritise other things over this.

Anyways, I'm really glad that you liked the track, I'm still producing tracks, some of which are hiphop, I'm just not able to post much bieng as I want to post a FULL track as opposed to another demo.

Thanks for the review and the fav!

there are some nice ideas here for me that drum tracks needs to be thicker.. that kick should do exactly that KICK...it should be BOOM >>BOOM>>BOOM it's needed to drive the track along.. the other sounds work great and all seem to have their own separate spaces... don't get me wrong I enjoyed the listen it just lacked that depth that you would expect from a dance track... keep 'em coming brother
StephenPotter
StephenPotter replied Unknown
Ok. I think its sade to say with this many reviews, something has to be done with this track. I think I probably need to retry this now I've got better at making certain parts stand out, and believe me I'm going to do something to this now, a complete remake I think.

Thanks for the review, expect a remake soon, and I'll send my demos to you soon as well once I get them all finished.

another libra, i keep clicking on my fellow brothers today at random. like your style a lot my friend keep up the great work. great for a days work. would love to here the results if you spent another day or to with it too, i think this one could be squeezed for its magic {all things in good time:everything in its right place} tho. but if it calls back to you some time in the future to work on id say listen to your gut and go 4 it. mature work 4 a young lad, dont stop making tunes keep em coming........i have stuff at LD120 profile at looperman too if you drop past 4 a listen anytime........!1X1!.....
StephenPotter
StephenPotter replied Unknown
I'm just going to warn you that having multiple profiles can get you banned. I'm not going to do anything about it because I cant, but I think that you might need to delete one of your accounts before one of the mods or the admins delete them both.

I hope I don't come off looking like someone who complains all the time, in fact I'm just trying to help you out here. I'm glad that you liked the track, this song has been revisited several times, this is the only version I really like, but I have got some plans to revisit older songs.

Thanks for the review, sorry about complaining, I will take a listen, but I'm just telling you before the mods do. I will take a listen though to the tracks on the profile you mentioned.

Yeah ste, I meant to drop you a review yesterday when I heard this. This is dope for your first hip hop track. I like what you did with the loop yesh sent you. I like it when you dropped down the tempo almost like a rewind. Then beat drops back in again. NIce bass melody too. Good first tester and hopefully many more to come...

hey have you thought about adding piano instead of vocals?
StephenPotter
StephenPotter replied Unknown
Since I lost REFX Nexus a few months back, I haven't thought of doing anything to this track as a lot of the sounds used I don't actually have any more. But a piano would have been a good idea.

Thanks for the suggestion, but its unlikely that I'll ever get anything for this track.

Hey man you've been reviewing my stuff and answering my posts and etc, and i thought "Holy crap i havent even listened to one of his songs!" So, Ste, my turn. This track is fantastic, and i agree it could use some lyrics but its still excellent as is. I think i might try to implement some lyrics that are here on looperman for this song for ya and email it to ya! Anyways the sound is excellent, i love how the volume will sortof lower and get more bassy and then build back up it sounds really good. hope ya come out with some more music gold soon! -Gabe

Did I review? I'm uncertain if I actually had. I'll review anyway (man I owe a lot of reviews :P) I'm glad that you liked the track, sadly I don't have many of the sounds used in it any more thanks to my terrible laptop messing up Nexus. But if I was to do anything then I'd remake this track.

Thanks for the review though!

damn that bass is solid. i like the bounce it has. i agree the open hats are a little outta place, but i would suggest switchin the sound of em to a 808 or 909 ride hit with a little bit of auto pan. good first hip hop track man, hope you had fun makin it and you gonna make more.
StephenPotter
StephenPotter replied Unknown
Yeah, the hats would sound better as rides, I actually made the hats wobble with an LFO on the highpass, so I think that could work with a ride.

Thanks for the review, and I really want to make more but I got other things stopping me at the moment..

I was planning on originally making this into a glitch hop track, but in the end I just put in a tiny bit of glitch.

But you and cyber both see dubstep in this track which I dont which kinda confuses me...

This is really, really good. Love this sound here. This is the first time I get to hear a track of yours(I usually roam the featured track box lol), so didn't know what to expect. Blown away. I've kinda gotten used to seeing the electronic tag and hearing really loud synths and dirty sounding 4 on the floor beats. Not that theres anything wrong with some grit, but dynamic is something to cherish also. I consider this a pleasure. When this gets finished(hopefully), its easily gonna be a great track. Already is in my book. Cheers :D

Nice track Stephen! Glad you ressurected this one, it has a great positive upbeat feel to it, look forward to hearing it progress. I love the effects on the guitars, was that the Edge from U2 playing? haha! Nice job, keep us posted in the thread when you finish it!

Wayne
StephenPotter
StephenPotter replied Unknown
The effects on the guitar were Fl9's hardcore VST, Fruity Delay 2, EQUO, Para EQ and Para EQ2. It made the guitar sound a whole lot better, and I'm really proud of myself for getting the sound I wanted out of it.

I will post when this gets finished, thats if I ever manage to think past what I've got so far :)

Thanks for the review!

Well, im into dance and techno stuff and this track is pretty good, i don't think it needs much vocals as such, if u want it to really stand out, i think a little change in the middle and a work up to the main part will do it. Ya the wobbly bounce is good.
