At the end i got something that one could call dark and evil, but i would say it's just a little dark and human .... some kind of rock music with handmade guitars and some self played vst's like organ, chorus and guitar. Description : An ambient/cinematic version of the instrumental track 'The Falling Man' released by Dutch rock band ##### Di Blues in 2011

This original music video was accepted into the 9/11 Memorial Virtual Museum'

In 2014 ##### Di Blues-bandmembers Johan van de Beek and René Vlems decided to do a slowed down version of this ballad in a more subdued, cinematic style. First demos were recorded in 2015. Final mix recorded in 2016 with a new percussion track played by Vlems. Music and video were mixed and combined in the weeks preceding the 15th anniversary of 9/11 in September 2016.

This is a non-commercial project.

This music video is a tribute to the people who jumped or fell from the WTC Towers on September 11, 2001.
The project was inspired by a picture, taken by press photographer Richard Drew (AP) on that fateful morning. This image was the subject of a famous essay that journalist Tom Junod wrote in 2003 about 'The Falling Man'.
This iconic image went around the world and....disappeared. Nobody wanted to see it anymore.
The falling man in the picture became, wrote Junod, ‘the Unknown Soldier in a war whose end we have not yet seen’.

Description : Update 12.09.2016 - I widened the Metaled vocals a bit, reduced volume on the "machine" rap section at around 3:00, and also added some effect to make it less harsh. dropped a little the guitar so the drums are louder, and some other small stuff. Let me know if better now :D
This song started with me finding the vocals by Metaled, and thinking what can I do with it. Again, is it rap? Rock? Blues??? EDIT: Supafreakshow took some time to lay down a sick bass track for this. He sent it to me and I couldn't pass up re-mixing the track to incorporate some of the low register runs and fills. I think it really adds some punch to the bottom end. Thanks man, awesome bit of work. Looperman rules !!!

Description : Here something new, fresh, dynamic.
Somewhere between different genres.
Maybe post punk pop rock with some medieval flair.
Pure synthesizer music but somehow sounds handmade.
No loops , all played by myself.
On top of it a little singing from me.
Recorded , edited and mixed with Magix Music Maker 2016 and Ultra channel.
This song is a new version of the first song I wrote for my very first group.
About 30 years old.

Description : OK, I finally managed to find a song name, so here it is. But the genre is still open. ##### is it? World? Trip? Trance? Rock? psychedelic? .

I started this song with the wahwah background track, I think I wanted to go in the triphop direction but when I played with it and tried out things I added some Tabla sounds from the available sound library of the cubase software to it, just to get a feel for it. It sounded right somehow, and so it developed from there. As before, we did the work on wikiloops band section: bhunt1 (Brian) on Bass added his track, and rp3drums (Raymond) on drums (one straight drum track, and one para-diddle track). I then added several more guitar tracks.

So I would be happy to listen to your comments and advice, and if I get a good suggestion for name and genre I will change it. Cheers, TG :D

Recorded the guitars and bass there and brought it to ableton live and joined drums and other samples.
It's a 120bpm agressive triphop beat with jazz elements.

Description : A fat groove journey incorporating hip hop, jazz, rock and more. Chilled out and rocking, with some big riffs and basslines. The main instruments are saxophone, piano and cello plus some resonator guitar and banjo. Sax is the only instrument not played by me as the parts here were contributed a few years ago by a guy I know. Anything that sounds like distorted guitar is actually distorted cello. Loads of that, including solos, in the second half. No electric guitar or bass guitar. Not much synth work but there are two synth basses and an organ. Otherwise, it's quite an acoustic "played instruments" kind of sound. Lots of drums, including loops, multiple programmed acoustic kits and drum hits. I know Radiohead have an excellent song called Everything In Its Right Place but I still like my title and there's a story behind it (nothing to do with music). Interesting feedback appreciated. Do you have any favourite or least favourite sections? Details are appreciated...

Description : Here is my new genre and I call it 'electrocellometallo', or just 'cellometallo' though this is also a dance track. My aim was to make some dirty groove metal without using any guitar. Instead, all of what sounds like heavy guitar is actually distorted, bowed cello (yes, it's my cello playing). There are also no bass instruments (eg bass guitar, synth bass) as that's cello, yet again. I only played one proper cello bassline - the rest of the bass is incorporated within the dirty cello riffage. Other instruments: Fender Rhodes (clean and then distorted) a few synth arps, a synth pad and soaring, sample-based strings. Lots of fat beat drum loops and two programmed hard rock kits. I enjoyed making this but let me know what you think. Interesting and intelligent analysis appreciated. Humour is also permitted...

Description : An 80BPM psychedelic, chillout, deep groove electric cello spectacular. It mostly consists of multiple layers of my heavily edited cello playing techniques (harmonics, pizzicato, bowing, tremoloing and a little spiccato) plus drums. Other instruments: bass guitar, 8 bars of electric guitar, Fender Rhodes, a trancey synth, one occasional bass synth and a processed chimey guitar synth. It's fairly minimal instrumentation for me as this is all about my cello explorations as I learn how to play the instrument and what sort of sounds I can get out of it. Drums are programmed hip hop and hard rock kits (2 of each), plus some fun glitch processing on one kit in a middle section. No drum loops. This was quite difficult to make and I've had to show real restraint in not making it longer and not adding any guitar in the rocking last 2 minutes. That just seemed too predictable so I chose not to do it at all. Shimmering, high, bowed, funky cello all the way instead! Have a listen and leave me some interesting thoughts and/or suggestions.
