Description : Most of my songs people say they can picture it for a movie or game soundtrack. I love painting a picture to go with the music. If you look at my profile you will see a song titled Mutiny of the toys. This song is a follow up to the original.
Description : Tracks are almost done for Dastardly. Currently writing. If it takes until i'm 40, so be it!
Description : Jail ain't fun but writing songs about it is. I recently watched a movie on Netflix - "Imperial Dreams," I believe it was called - a great film about the odds stacked against ex-cons trying to live right. The system doesn't want you to succeed because prisoners are commodities that can be exploited for profit. That's why there's so many of them in America, land of the free - more than any other country on earth, including China, a totalitarian state with 4x our population. And yet we sit meekly by and applaud the disastrous war on drugs as it continues to destroy the lives of millions to no good purpose whatsoever. OK, jesus sorry, there I go again. Sunny War on vocals and guitar. Nice funky guitar and an old-school rock-out break. I'm proud of this song. It will be on the TRIBEZ album, which we look good to finish this week. Please comment - it's always encouraging and helpful.
Description : This is quite a long, moody track from (what would be) side two of my next LP ('Skyhorse'). I like the mix of grim 70's European synths, mellotron emulation, funky drummer loop and OTT choral effects so I probably won't change the basic feel of it. It made me think of wartime, the Blitz etc and so the lyric is based on the opening of the Powell & Pressburger movie "A matter of life and death". If you haven't seen the film, the gist of it is that the guy's falling in love with the woman he's talking to over the radio as his plane is crashing to earth. It's a great film, but I'm not sure I've managed to convey the full effect of that narrative with this vocal take, so I'd especially appreciate comments on how better to do that. Cheers guys.
Description : My first track of the year...yay. This is a short cover piece from the Tron:Legacy movie soundtrack, composed by Daft Punk. Used my go to favorite software instrument Uhe Zebra and my Alesis midi keyboard . I tried to arrange in the style of Giorgio Moroder, one of my favorite music scorer and composer. feel free to download and comment. Enjoy :)
