Description : UPDATE 26/01/2014: Improved loads of things in what is probably my greatest chillout alternative blues piece. Ambient, ethereal, groove-based delta slide blues. Contemplative and melodic. Multiple, layered , sometimes shimmering resonator guitar parts with solid, warm synth bass, an ethereal bed of pads (which are actually guitars) and second electronic drumkit to contrast the acoustic kits. I thought this was perfect a few years ago but it wasn't (and still isn't). Now has clearer drums and lots of small awkward bits of guitar have been trimmed. Quite a minimalistic and short piece for me - I don't just keep bringing in new instruments, as I usually do. This should really chill you out...

I had to respond to the 4-track challenge and here's my entry – a Transatlantic Experience tune called Music man. I wrote the music in Sweden and Jim Byrd wrote the lyrics and sang in in Philly PA.

track 1: Drums – apple loops
track 2: Bass – Kikajon (precision through a Marshall)
track 3: guitar – Kikajon (strat through an Orange–stack)
track 4: vocals – Tacatta

Description : Just a little something I composed the other day, got nothing for, then deleted a few of the synth patterns out of it.

Track 1- Drums (they're all attatched to FL studios FPC)
Track 2- Pad
Track 3- Arp
Track 4- Wobble bass

Its one of my better dubstep tracks, the buildups lacking a bit, but after the challenge I may go on to improve this.

Description : THIS IS THE FINAL VERSION OF MY TRACK "In paradise".

I've been working on and off this track for over a year now. Each time I've never been fully satisfied... until now. This is a 10 minute remix of a track that was originally 2 minutes long. Its also my first time using pitcher and newtone on my voice (hopefully it won't be a regular thing and I can use my actual voice in the future though)

The first three minutes of this track is the introduction, starting off with a wierd panning drumloop made with a few electro drum sounds that came with fl studio, and slowly adding more sounds to it.

The following 6 minutes are me playing around with loads of different drum loops, and my own voice.

The last two minutes or so is an outtro, ending with the same drumloop as in the start.

The guitar was made using string theory and image lines "Hardcore" plugin, the piano is a heavily filtered FL keys, the pads are four filtered samples, and the strings and bass were made with synth1- arguably the best freeware synth out there. The drums were manually placed into the FPC then sequenced.

Description : Wow ! It's been a while since I did something since I had bummed up my shoulder last month.

Remember Me ( Recuerdame ) is a latin guitar rock instrumental track that is based somewhat on the cover progression by & la Quinto Estacion. I played all the instruments and layed out the music beds and changed the progression and tempo a bit to make it interesting. (authorized through Harry Fox Agency #SL26498)

A real emotional piece in the key of E Minor Mixolydian and Penatonic. Features, some cookin' electric guitar, acoustic flamenco, piano and strings. I'm not a drummer so the drums were compliments of Toontrack Superior Drummer

This was therapy to get the arm back into shape. I'm so glad to be back making music again ! Perhaps it's time to do a few more collabs too...Woohoo

Description : This is my anthem to a copyright lawyer working real hard for amateurs like me (and you) to amend copyright law in favor of amateur artists. I have to imagine there are other loopermen/women who have run in to similar problems as those mentioned in this track. Spoken word's the only genre I could think of, it's a buncha different vocal clips on top of a beat I came up with. It's not as good as it could be, the drums are boring, it's a little too mathematical/predictable, there's plenty more I want to do with it, but I wanted to see what people think so far, so if you feel like reviewing it'd be much-appreciated. Description : This is the beginning of something new. Used a new guitar amp model on this track. And I've been trying out a new synth aswell. I must say, I'm pretty pleased with both. Anyway - this is a work in progress - I just wanted some feedback on this intro of mine, and the sound of it.

Description : *sigh* Several months after the experimental mixtape, this breakbeat/trance/chillout piece is still less than a minute long. Every time I try to go further, the composition seems to lose its energy and fall apart, like I can't make this track live up to the buildup that this intro has made. Any ideas?

One of my more complicated compositions, and one of the ones I'm more proud of, a ton of synth layers, and some nice sounding drums which I'm looking to develop too. Once I conquer the whole build up thing, this is gonna sound great.. until then, 50 second song anyone?
