A very sweet and enticing musical expression! I had to look up the word "Alpinism" as I do not remember hearing it before. I do so love the journey to altitude and the return, although I do not live in a mountainous region any more. The highest natural altitudes here are steep hills which were oak savannah, and were used as sacred/burial grounds for the native peoples, then became mining facilities, and are now "managed" parks... still they are enjoyable to experience as long as the gov't sprayers aren't out. The real mountains here are the Mayo Clinic buildings though, sad but true. Sorry, I'm wandering... I enjoyed the song so much, simplicity and depth simultaneously! Very good texture and range, and it would be excellent in a film. It does remind me a bit of the "new age" craze back in the eighties, when they would advertise music in this vein on blue screen "as seen on TV" sort of commercials. Now I see those same musical works at the second hand/thrift shops. It's sad really, as I'm sure people put a lot of effort into those, now seemingly classical, works. You've done a good thing here! Fave!

I was out of time, and I ended up staying a long time without checking the site.
And here I am listening to one of your beautiful songs, after all, you have great abilities to create brilliant atmospheres in the songs, light and heavy pads flowing in the same wave, mystery and grandeur in the form of music.

this track feels like something coming to life. At first I was not sure, you could feel the breath and life in it, moving toward a purpose. But then I thought of a tiny seed in the ground dying, germinating and then breaking the surface, in search of light. And suddenly, it was as if darkness fell, and it stood alone and huge massive tree, with century's of stories to tell, dying in the middle of a water-less desert.

Maybe this song fits well when its 30 degrees outside. It will cool me down for sure :p. In teh 2nd part you really increase the creaminess which deepens the track even more. THAT INTRO. Perfection in my opinion. What did you use to get that wailing sort of violin at the start? I really like that sound. Evokes an image of a guy lsot in the desert, staring off into the sunset. Or maybe hes on another planet. Regardless, very dreamy and lovely mix. The ambience on this one is so beautiful. This is perfection to my ears, my good Orlando. Great work on making something different and at a much higher quality and grace than what I normally find on LM :)

the opening sets the mood really well, the transitions are smooth yet very different -- gives the track a real nice sense of progress -- when you're trekking up the range, you want to feel like you're not stuck in one place. around 2:30-3:00 the "weight" drops off a bit, almost took me out of the feel, but you brought it back nicely around 3;15 and onwards...Bravo. Peaks and valleys, huh? This would be great for accompanying a nature video/documentary!

OMG this is soo perfect.Amazing ambience!!!

I live in India and I have never been to Himalayas :( but this track took me over to the Himalayan Journey.
I was completely immersed in the track since the beginning.

Moving textures, beautiful ambience, epic synths and pads.Sound design at it's best!

This will really suit for a movie background score.

Which libraries and VSTs do you use for your ambience music?

I'm in love with this perfection!

    Great great work!

and generous review and the fact that you live in India

CrX4, Lush-101 and Alchemy. For the next one there will be probably different set of vst's.

ok so you didn't sing on this one but you could have done some yodeling. ;)

You sure captured the grandeur and vastness of the Himalayas in this track. It is sad to see the genocide inside of Tibet being ignored by the world but on the other hand the country of Bhutan is an amazing example of how a country can respect their land, take care of their people and still prosper. Crazy mixed up world!

There is a peaceful, spiritual and uplifting feel to the track. Gave it several listens. Great meditation ambiance, my heart rate has lowered, time for more coffee.

Thank you for the dl :p reality sucks, music like this is a great escape. 5 nights a week I work alone at night in the silence of commercial office buildings, banks and stuff, so I love to load up my mp3 player with music from here. There's nothing worse than that silence!! You definitely captured the majestic feeling of the Himalayas. Did I just hear a monk throat singing or was that you? I hope it was a monk so there's a monastery nearby where I'll be safe from the Yetis! I saw what they did to those people at Dylatov pass. I looked up a pic of the Himalaya to look at while this plays and felt like I was part of the climbing party scanning the the landscape. Yep, had to come back for seconds.
    Orlando51
Reply by Orlando51 Nice to see someone coming back for the second comment, I truly appreciate that..:)
Yes, my friend...that was definitely a monk...Haven't I told you that I won't sing (growl) anymore...haha! The only problem you have here is that you'll have to climb far down
to safely reach the monastery, so meeting the Yeti wouldn't be such a bad option compared to this and they also say that Yetis are much more cultivated and subdued to political correctness these days...haha...so you might have clear chances by meeting one...:)

Many thanks and appreciation for this friendly revisit!

Captures a fly over the North Face very well can see Hilaries Step in the motion picture to this music.

Very nice canvas of sound that deserves vision of the North Face before and after the Earthquake that destroyed the Ice Glaciers not far from base camp.

    Really nice Orlando51

Probaly would've added an Himalayan flute or monks bell/gong gentle just to really express the presence of being there locally in the ears....however vision with this would certainly cover that.

    Extremely Nice to hear,

    DJ-SLT-UK

Going to download this one so I can blast it thru a 5000watt system at work.

Reply by Orlando51 Don't you hear the distant bells somewhere below...the mountaineers are climbing high on their deadly challenge...
I was thinking about Himalayan flute but i think it would have been too obvious. I didn't want to make this as a tourist postcard or souvenir but something more fatal, detached from local folklore, or even something looking towards transcendence. (I know it sounds silly..haha!)

Description : HEY, hey guys...IM BACK! and it feels amazing. I took a month or so off to work thru some shit, and in that time i bring you this. Personally my best work so far imo. I may add lyrics to it eventually, but not sure yet. The original has a longer beginning for that reason. Thanks to chanho17 for uploading great piano loops for use. let me know what you think!
Description : First off, I am a huge fan of the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy and "The Hobbit." After watching all of the movies (including the final chapter of the Hobbit", I was motivated to write something that I thought might work with their journey home. Samplitude has a couple of great new VST's, one called "World Flutes" and the other "Celtic Harp" and I used both of them in this song. I created every last note on this one. Guitars were all Fenders, soft synths besides the Samplitude items mentioned previously were created in the SynthMaster series by KVR, and the strings were created with Samplitude's "String Ensemble." Not sure about the mix (my hearing is shot), so most of the mixing is done by sight instead of listening. If you hear something way out of whack, let me know. If you are interested in taking this one further, let me know and I'll post a link to the stems. Thanks to the Hobbit for the inspiration and to you for listening. EDIT: I've had some requests for the individual instrument stems so here is the link to all of those files. The tempo is 80bpm. Feel free to do whatever you want with this one. https://www.mediafire.com/?vzbi2scw8vc7cws EDIT: I've had over 200 downloads of the stems, so if you have done anything with them it would be cool to hear it (thanks for the interest).

Description : Recently I decided to explore some darker themes for weeks to come (not counting possible collab releases). This is the first one of a kind although it's not entirely on the dark side. I think it preserves that peculiar romanticism of mine, so I see it also as an atempt to mix and balance the moods to give it a bit of uniqueness I guess...and don't bother about the genre...I just had to put it somewhere..:)^^ *UPDATE* 15th August 2015: I shortened the intro a bit to make it more concise and to maybe improve the listenability of the track as a whole!

Description : This time around I made a rare exception in terms of my usual way of doing things. In most cases I avoid using samples, loops or any other kind of pre-recorded material due to my strong preference of making music from scratch! Yet, here is one of those rare occasions where I decided to combine my recently composed and recorded material with some samples from Magix sound library. And here is the result...not necessarily cinematic...but you know..:)^^ Any comments appreciated!

Description : Guy’s this is sound track I have created for a friend who is a documentary film maker. The film is about the distraction of Earth neutral beauty and creating concrete jungles in its place. It was really sad to see so I came up with this track. Majority of it done with minor keys to reflect the sadness I hope you all like it.

Description : 1906 was the year of the largest emigration wave of Sicilians to America. Sicily, the cradle of mafia and vendeta, and the land of poverty. Why did I compose this? Coincidentaly, last week I was watching again all three "Godfather" movies after a long time (Marlon Brando is still my favourite actor), so I got an idea! The sentiment of leaving beloved homeland and family in desperate search for a better future is the key here to capture. Human heart in sadness but full of hope ! Mediteranean flavour mixed with almost classical elements prevails in this little extra offer. Not a cup of tea for everyone then...probably only for those who are able to survive all that orlandesque trumpery.:) It's a tricky one...ok?

Description : The song is meant to depict the weather here on the coast of Florida on a typical summer day. We often get the chance of severe thunderstorms and often tornadoes but the day doesn’t usually start that way. Light breezes and warm temps make for a great day until the storm hits and all hell can break loose! I asked Dave if he would like to help with the bass guitar on this track and in return he essentially gave me two tracks. In the first part of the song he uses his new bass guitar in which he personally designed and built from blocks of wood. It has a beautiful jazz sound and really adds to the feel of a light breezy morning. In the second part of the song, Dave uses his Precision Fender bass to give the song a little more attack during the part with the storm kicks in. I used several instruments in Ableton’s orchestra pack and added plenty of live instruments. I used delay extensively in this track and even tried my slide on my electric guitar for the first time to represent the wind. It was certainly a pleasure working with Dave on this track and he added an certain element with his style of playing and sound that goes beyond what I could've put down so I appreciate Dave's input immensely and I'm quite pleased with the track! Enjoy!
Description : A song I wrote with the music of denyjanuary. https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/171705 Not entirely sure which genre it would fit under, so I chose cinematic.
