A very sweet and enticing musical expression! I had to look up the word "Alpinism" as I do not remember hearing it before. I do so love the journey to altitude and the return, although I do not live in a mountainous region any more. The highest natural altitudes here are steep hills which were oak savannah, and were used as sacred/burial grounds for the native peoples, then became mining facilities, and are now "managed" parks... still they are enjoyable to experience as long as the gov't sprayers aren't out. The real mountains here are the Mayo Clinic buildings though, sad but true. Sorry, I'm wandering... I enjoyed the song so much, simplicity and depth simultaneously! Very good texture and range, and it would be excellent in a film. It does remind me a bit of the "new age" craze back in the eighties, when they would advertise music in this vein on blue screen "as seen on TV" sort of commercials. Now I see those same musical works at the second hand/thrift shops. It's sad really, as I'm sure people put a lot of effort into those, now seemingly classical, works. You've done a good thing here! Fave!

I was out of time, and I ended up staying a long time without checking the site.
And here I am listening to one of your beautiful songs, after all, you have great abilities to create brilliant atmospheres in the songs, light and heavy pads flowing in the same wave, mystery and grandeur in the form of music.

THAT INTRO. Perfection in my opinion. What did you use to get that wailing sort of violin at the start? I really like that sound. Evokes an image of a guy lsot in the desert, staring off into the sunset. Or maybe hes on another planet. Regardless, very dreamy and lovely mix. The ambience on this one is so beautiful. This is perfection to my ears, my good Orlando. Great work on making something different and at a much higher quality and grace than what I normally find on LM :)

the opening sets the mood really well, the transitions are smooth yet very different -- gives the track a real nice sense of progress -- when you're trekking up the range, you want to feel like you're not stuck in one place. around 2:30-3:00 the "weight" drops off a bit, almost took me out of the feel, but you brought it back nicely around 3;15 and onwards...Bravo. Peaks and valleys, huh? This would be great for accompanying a nature video/documentary!

OMG this is soo perfect.Amazing ambience!!!

I live in India and I have never been to Himalayas :( but this track took me over to the Himalayan Journey.
I was completely immersed in the track since the beginning.

Moving textures, beautiful ambience, epic synths and pads.Sound design at it's best!

This will really suit for a movie background score.

Which libraries and VSTs do you use for your ambience music?

I'm in love with this perfection!

    Great great work!

CrX4, Lush-101 and Alchemy. For the next one there will be probably different set of vst's.

ok so you didn't sing on this one but you could have done some yodeling. ;)

You sure captured the grandeur and vastness of the Himalayas in this track. It is sad to see the genocide inside of Tibet being ignored by the world but on the other hand the country of Bhutan is an amazing example of how a country can respect their land, take care of their people and still prosper. Crazy mixed up world!

There is a peaceful, spiritual and uplifting feel to the track. Gave it several listens. Great meditation ambiance, my heart rate has lowered, time for more coffee.

Thank you for the dl :p reality sucks, music like this is a great escape. 5 nights a week I work alone at night in the silence of commercial office buildings, banks and stuff, so I love to load up my mp3 player with music from here. There's nothing worse than that silence!! You definitely captured the majestic feeling of the Himalayas. Did I just hear a monk throat singing or was that you? I hope it was a monk so there's a monastery nearby where I'll be safe from the Yetis! I saw what they did to those people at Dylatov pass. I looked up a pic of the Himalaya to look at while this plays and felt like I was part of the climbing party scanning the the landscape. Yep, had to come back for seconds.

    Orlando51
    Reply by Orlando51

Nice to see someone coming back for the second comment, I truly appreciate that..:)
Yes, my friend...that was definitely a monk...Haven't I told you that I won't sing (growl) anymore...haha! The only problem you have here is that you'll have to climb far down
to safely reach the monastery, so meeting the Yeti wouldn't be such a bad option compared to this and they also say that Yetis are much more cultivated and subdued to political correctness these days...haha...so you might have clear chances by meeting one...:)

Many thanks and appreciation for this friendly revisit!

Description : I had no particular intention doing this, but then it just came on me out of nowhere....How to make an antithesis Halloween work!? Prior to that there were no plans to make a track for the occasion, furthermore I've never been really interested in such a thing. It always seemed a bit silly to me if not outright childish. But then I remembered the Interview with The Vampire and Bram Stoker's Dracula. My gosh, there was some peculiar romanticism in there and I probably don't have to tell you twice that this must be a bait for Orlando, as is a cup of fresh young blood for a vampire...:) Furthermore I like people who are different, so I just have to like vampires who a different as well...hehe...so it should be dawning on you by now that this won't be your standard Halloween tune...haven't I mentioned "antithesis"? So...no growling zombies, midnight cemetery bells, creaking doors or any of your favourite horror sounds, although it's still a little bit darker in tone...hell yeah, vampires are still vampires...haha...but this one is mainly about a vampire desperately in love with a young lady, craving for her as a madman...I won't tell whether she's also a vampire or not, cause you might figure it out listening to the track...^^ Otherwise it was about time for me to come up with a new solo work, since I've been almost exclusively doing collabs in those past few months (which I love ofcourse)...afteral you can always ask Ed...:)^^____Happy Halloween folks!:)
