So What Zakk Frappe, sorry Zacharius Frappius.Stank Frackka. no still can't write it correctly...anyhoo what he(she) is trying to tell us is that the tune he(She) made is an homage to Bo Diddley who invented this style of progression called "The Bo Diddley beat" a 3-2 Clave rhythm used in Afro-Cuban music. I want Candy is one of the many tunes that uses this.
check this out.

It's a song about stealing, posing, ignoring and getting rich in the end. Don't forget to mention your "roots" when they are drowning in cheap alcohol, so they may get some bread crumbs from your table.

A business model perfected by Led Zeppelin.

Most entertaining two minutes of my day (something my wife says on occasion). This was really well done. And representative of many hits from the past. Like TG said, it took some talent to assemble this one. Respect.

Actually it took more time than talent.

I can vaguely remember this song, who was that guy again...
oooooh yeah the the Mr. Diddle

Very nicely done, what I really like is that you didn't do it, like him
you made the tune today not yesterday...
Took some talent to pull that off as good as you have, no question
an oldy but goody reborn in a good way...

Peace...TG.

Haha this is pretty strange use of a slide on a guitar. Good work on delivering something else I've never even come close to hearing anywhere else!

You are a strange person indeed. However, I like your grumpy ways. It's a bit like your music, Unusual. So sack all interns and whip us hard.

Everything you say is kinda rude, but all your tracks are pretty interesting, so overall it's just kinda "meh".

The clap and the ride really carried you on this one. The rest sounds like "I Want Candy". Harness that clap and ride cymbal and it'll take you to the top.

Note to Gordon: Urinate in Bossman's coffee till he starts being more personable. He seems like he might be an intelligent and interesting dude if he wasn't so dismissive of genuine praise. And Gordon, quit sniffing the White-Out.

It's the other way round: "I want Candy" sounds like Bo.

Mr Frappa is suffering from migraine at the moment, so I - his intern - will answer to your posts. That might be the reason for friendly messages.

Mr. Frappa will be back soon, so expect his far more professional ripostes soon.

Kind regards

Sorry for my slow reply Zank.

Traditional blues verses are most common in twelve bar blues with the characteristic repeated first line.
Blues songs are by no means all sad I think. Many of these traditional lyrics are salacious.
Other lyrics tell of violence and an unhappy romance.

Many others detail the miseries of life. Some lyrics crop up in song after song

Floating lyrics have been described as lines that have circulated so long in folk communities that tradition - steeped singers call them instantly to mind and rearrange them constantly, and often unconsciously, to suit their personal and community aesthetics

Just to let you know.

Thanks so much for some constructive replies. It means a lot.
Still looking forward to hear your song.

So long Zank.

12 bars are for mathematicians. The blues is different. The blues comes from picking cotton, not counting bars. It's about making contracts with the devil.

Lyrics are overrated. "You better come out in my kitchen, it's going to be raining outside" - what's that all about? I got no idea! Lyrics are suspicious, I prefer text2speech software when comes to words!

However, I hope this is no spoiler, I did not use any lyrics on this track, but rather tried to give it a complete mojo injetion based on arousing guitars.

One day you will listen to this cute little masterpiece and the whole universe of music will unveil to you. Halleluja, brother!

Zank,
Interesting piece. I hear a lot of elements in this. Maybe a bit too short.

If a song is too short, you can listen to it again. If it's too long, you get bored. Shhh, don't tell, it's the secret of hits ...

Description : This is my newest creation, at a stage very near to completion. No third-party mastering or mixing, as with all my tracks. Just have to fix a few tiny things. I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO MIX EVERYTHING IN THE SAME SESSION. This song has all human-played instruments - no quantization or MIDI! My brother does all the vocals except for the interlude part, which I do. My other brother plays the rhythm guitar (a Gibson Les Paul Custom - only one of 12 in the world!!) and I play the accompanying guitar (a Johnny Mar Jag and PRS). He has a lot of guitars :P A good friend of ours, Ronnie, plays the bass and another friend, Freddie, plays the drums. The drum track was done in one take (had to use an electric drum set due to time constraints - but acoustic kits are so much better). Overall, pretty satisfied with the result. Let me know your thoughts.

Description : The first track I sing on. Cheap stage mic & no fancy plugins. Heavily guitar laden to the point it's got a bit of a shoegaze thing going on. I pulled the lyrics out of my ass & yes, they're a bit silly.

Description : BIG UPDATE 26/02/2014 - So, this was an 18 min track that I have now successfully split in two. 2nd half I uploaded a few weeks ago (Things That Should Always Be, with the bouncy 2 min reggae intro). This is the first half, which has a new mix, a mega chill, meditative ending and a little jazz thrown in for good measure. Takes a few minutes for beat to really kick in. Constantly evolving electric guitar, bass guitar, acoustic drums and lead banjo driven by fat, busy 80BPM grooves with a bit of a reggae and shuffle feel. Also: synth choir voices, dulcimer, violin, cello, shimmering pads. Builds up gradually to nice and rocking and then gets taken back down for the big comedown chill. I really don't know what sort of genre this is except 'far out'. I think it sounds more like a live band than one guy playing instruments and manipulating a DAW. Not my best track but a bit of blissful, sunny island fun. Real positive vibe here so I hope you give it a chance to unfold and unfurl. Sit back, clear your schedule and immerse yourself in these trippy sonic experiments cooked up deep in my off-planet underground laboratory. I have to send the MP3 to Earth via space courier (not cheap).

Description : This track was like the inhale after an exhale of aggressive industrial-electro-sludge tracks that I had put out that summer and fall. This was the more reserved, and introspective winter track. It's nothing spectacular, but I still really enjoy it. I hope you do too. Take care. V.
