Description : Well, with the full moon going strong, and trying to find a song to write about the discrepancies of daylight savings time, I decided to do this cover instead. Some of the words seemed relevant. Ohgr is also the lead singer of skinny puppy, in case you didn't know that.
This was done in about 4 hours. I hope you enjoy listening!

Hey man, thanks for checking this one out! Definitely one of my best cover tracks. Skinny Puppy is definitely worth giving time to. Alas, this will be the second year in a row that I will miss their Minneapolis show. Last year they stopped plowing the highway, and this year we are just too broke to risk it. I really dig Ohgr's solo stuff though, every album has been excellent. I find that this version resembles some of the live versions of this song. For a synth based rhythm guitar section, I think this turned out pretty good... I'm proud that it wasn't just a guitar rompler. Thanks much for leaving your words!
Shocked I haven't been to this one yet, totally loving track, haven't heard original or the group for that matter, guessing not the type of music I listen too much other then here on the loop, love your vocal in this mate, suits the instrumental excellent, great tone to the voice, this could nearly fit under the rock genre, has that sound to me, anyways can not fault in any way my friend...Fav...Peace n Respect...Mosaic...
Thank you my friend for another kind comment! Ogre(Ohgr) is definitely one of my favorite artists of all time, and his work in Skinny Puppy is amazing. True that it's not your usual listening preference, but I appreciate the time you took to listen and comment. This is definitely one of his more pop songs, which is probably why it suggests rock to you. The guitar sounding parts are all synth though, and it's under industrial as I figured that people looking for industrial music would appreciate this one more than most. I've been trying to find my voice again after a break from that sort of thing, and also after smoking too much... I'll get it back. Thanks again!
Yeah this is the spivkurl we know and love. really dig this mate but then you already know i like the ones you do with vocals.
The synths sit perfectly on the guitars and you sound really good.
The levels are all perfect and i just simply love it.
I actually bought a loop pack of industrial sounds the other week and i haven't managed to do dick with it yet. I must make a point of having another go.

Hey there! Thanks for the returned reviews, means a lot to me! It's funny what you wrote about it being the Spivkurl we know and love, being that it's a cover, but I get it. I got in the habit of using other people's art to express myself with the whole loopradio thingy, and this seemed like the proper progression after it all hit the fan. Interesting that these sound like guitars to people, since they're not, I guess I got the tone right. You should totally check out ohgr if you haven't already, his albums are like some of the best I've ever heard! I'm interested to hear the industrial you create! Take care!
Hey friend! You're too kind! It's about time I gave a nod to ohgr in all his glory. This song totally spoke my emotions while I was recording it, I couldn't have said it better my self. I heart electronic music! Thanks for listening, so much!
I hope it doesn't sound like I'm taking away from your creativity by making the comparison, but one of the things I love about your work is that it sounds like Mark Mothersbaugh tapped it with his magic Devo wand.
For banging this out in just a few hours, it sounds pretty damn good to me! Man, it usually takes me that many hours just to build the synth patches for my tracks. If you ask me, it's a testament to your abilities, mister.
Hey, it's really nice to hear from you on this track! The comparison to Mark M is one that surprises me, but in a good way! He has made a huge mark on electronic music, and on my soul, so it means a lot to me! It's rare that I would do a song in this short of a time span, and if it weren't a cover I don't think it would've gone down like that. It felt good to express what I was feeling using someone else's ideas, sort of like DJ'ing in a way. Thanks for the support and feedback!
Hey BB, thanks for stopping by to listen! It was one of those things that had to be done, and it was very cathartic. I'm just happy some people enjoyed it, and I'm hoping I got some people into Oghr. Hope all is well! Thanks again!
Hey Spiv....you better move up here....I think we`re the only area in North America that never changes time...haha...gotta say I enjoyed this one...I think its likely got a little more of the rock in it that most of the industrial I`ve listened to...and its well done...has a touch of the rough edge that lets it come off very naturally...you could have told me you spent ages on it & I would have accepted that too....good stuff Spiv....Ed
Thanks my friend for your kind thoughts! I just today realized that the falacy of time has been on my mind for far longer than when I was DJ'ing to other time zones. I'm happy to have a common vein of thought in recent works, even though this is a cover. I just haven't adjusted to modern changes in reality I guess, glad I'm not the only one! See you in a moment!
ow ! this is a cover version ? oh sorry i played track and while listening i was doing something else then i saw desciption ! hope U ain't mind from your wacky persian friend.
and abut this cover i can't sy anything but it's interetingt...but as u know according to fucking islamic god's rules i can't access to youtube to see original version...best wishes.___B
Don't worry at all, I just feel better when I give credit to those I imitate. It's really never a song I thought I'd emulate, just felt right. Thank you for your attention!
great to find a new one from my innovative friend..
and I may can say this is my fav between your trax and all my fav in your track ...
pat as I have seen in email too , U've a tallented mind
for lyriX ..and here too this matter is sensible for me..
all the best.___B
Hello, my friend! In the case of this cover, I was using one of my idol's works of art to express myself, sort of like my DJ gig that ended all too soon. I wish you could hear the original, makes me sad how sheltered you are doomed to be. I should be thankful for the opportunity to introduce you to the song I guess. Thank you for listening and commenting!
Hey friend, really good to hear from you again! Doing this cover was just meant to be, I guess to me the essence of being a DJ is using other people's art to speak your mind. That's a bit how I think about doing covers too, be prepared for more covers under the guise of Iris-T-Shirt soon. I've been getting really into over=processing some of my tracks, in lieu of using autotune on my vocals, so I guess that's why the synths sound strange. They sound pretty weird in the original too though. Thanks so much for the comment!
You have another positive feedback from me: I like how you sing!
You have your own style and your voice is definitely interesting.
Good job!
Ciao, Domenico
I appreciate your helpful feedback! You can always be counted on to listen to my new stuff, it doesn't go unnoticed! Trying to get away from using autotune, so I thought a cover would be a good way to train myself a little. Thanks much!
Hey Vance, thank you for your comment and support! Was trying to make a faithful cover of one of my favourite artists, and it was a challenge considering I just had the chords and bass tab to work with. I appreciate you stopping by!
I love this so much and think it deserves and Fave and download :)
There is something about your singing and lyrics that just keep me entertained, please don't take this the wrong way but its the nutty sound in your voice its so damn cool :)
Great work mate loved it :)
Thanks for the positive feedback! I wish I could take more credit, but I didn't write it or anything. I'm glad you can hear my nuttiness! I really appreciate you listening!
Thanks for your kind feedback! I didn't really practice much for the vocals, just wanted to express my feelings using someone else's song. The "guitar" is actually a sound I made with FM8 and then played the parts on my new midi controller. It does sound quite a bit like a guitar though. Thanks for the support!
Hey, thanks ShemZee for your support! I didn't expect you to find this one so quickly! Listening to your recent covers was definitely a big influence yesterday. This is by far the newest song I've ever done a cover of, but it doesn't seem that new anymore. Thanks for the listen, comment and DL!
Always this musical peculiarity which seems to stick to your skin .... But why should we complain. I have great respect for your realisations and that could be classified in "Genre Spivkurl" .... Continue thus, and believe me, no need for plain Moon for you appreciate ....
Thank you very much for being the first to review this song. It was a very spontaneous project, and I didn't put much time into it, so I'm happy to get any positive feedback! I appreciate it!

Description : My grandmother was from Belarus. She was the lone survivor of her family after the Waffen SS massacred everyone in her village during a retreat from the Red Army. She escaped soviet occupied Belarus & through a series of wranglings by the international red cross, found a family to adopt her in New Jersey in 1947. She was 14 years old then. She was the strongest person I ever knew & I miss her terribly. This song is for her.
Description : Not really 'industrial' although some aspects might fit with the genre...generally robots and stuff...hehe...and a hint of heavy metal is also there...:)
Description : I used Serum and Sylenth1 to create all the synths and basslines. It's not dubstep, and it's not Drum and Bass, but it's elements are heavily drawn from both to create an experimental industrial track in it's own class. It's heavy, aggressive, and driving. Either you will like it, or you won't. I don't think there will be an in-between. Take care. V.
Description : It's probably the Darkest Mix I have ever done. Industrial Gothic Lumbering Tune at 90BPM in the style of Nine inch Nails Meets Spahn Ranch.
Description : Dutch version of VTNights - Dancing with Floyd
Selected the same genre, Industrial.
The beat is the original track minus the vocals. Translated the original lyrics (German --> Dutch) and tried to make the result rhyme. As I couldn't recreate VTNights voice I created a 8 voice choir.
Description : Some more old industrial recorded in 2015 as a new remaster from today. The original title is "Tanzt du alleine" and tells the story of people dancing next to each other but feeling isolated. They should take their hands to get back connected. I found this great bass loop from Difourks and I took a bit from Steelyvibe here from Looperman to pimp it up a bit. Maybe you heard the guitar riff at the beginning before. Enjoy
Description : Another weird blending of genres I am working on. Track was all composed by myself using some sampling and an old 1983 Memphis Strat of which I am totally rusty on due to a serious left hand/wrist injury several years back.
Description : For those of you who haven't grabbed my new album "Labrynth Of Self" I'm putting up another one from it. This is the only thing on the album that I'd really call industrial, and it comes closest to my goal of creating something that Ohgr might do on one of his albums. It contains some very weird sounds that I don't specifically remember creating. Don't be shy with your critique, it's not the sort of music everyone likes. Thanks for listening friends!
Description : This song I started about 5-7 yrs ago with the opening guitar. I was recording a home produced LP with a friend and I was hoping to write some lyrics and record it at the time, but it sat on the sidelines for various reasons. The last 2-3 yrs yrs I've been chipping away at it.
