Hello again. I've read your profile description before listening to your music. The "About me" section it's very amusing while it has this feeling of gravity.
About this melody, I sure did enjoy listening to it.
I liked the rhythm in it.

'' Abandon ''for track name.

doudei replied 12th Nov 2013 - 11 years ago
hey thanks for the suggestion! i was just thinking about maybe writing and singing some actual meaningful words as others also already suggested. the original track that has inspired me was "no title so far" and since it was based on a idea from there i just called this "still no title" :)))

I whipped out the headphones, as per your recommendation! It sounds great! Brings me back to the days of scat! Got a nice disco vibe, but with some unusual rhythms. Groovy tune, with a good mix! I too liked the glitch fill! Nice one! Faved for sure!

Cool. Interesting piece. Some of those vocals remind me a little of Ian Brown in The Stone Roses. Maybe Fool's Gold, probably other tracks too.

1:14 extra beat helps push things forward. Still lacking some bass and a definite bass drum.

2:12-2:14 nice little glitch fill.

Then more definite beat moves things along nicely again. Maybe it's a bit samey but it's a cool and fun vibe. Summer party stuff, for sure.

Even though it's kind of the same thing for 4-odd minutes, you work the parts well.

Where is that vocal from? You could probably improve this if you got a more definite and 'proper', lyric-based vocal for when the groove really kicks in on 2:14. I just think there's more that could be done with what is an enjoyable track.

yep, i also feel like it needs more variety in the structure.

the voice is my own, i recorded those vocals this afternoon.
not happy with them either, although it's already a big improvement over the initial version - and without them it now feels like something is missing.

thanks a lot for your input, i appreciate that!

Description : Now on youtube: youtu.be/0RYfA4iCsSA, soon out on my upcoming album "Step by Step"!
==============
Inspired by a track of Pseudoble. I was noodling along to his track "I wish I didn't know" (which is awesome) and had the words "Snow in Athens" in my head. This with the smooth jazz/fusion atmosphere led me to this track with a sort of Steely Dan feel.

Description : This track is built around the repetitive lead guitar line which I have previously incorporated as an intro for the rocker track "Sweetheart Runner" by LM user TinyFinger whom I have helped in arranging, mixing and producing his song. This extended session was a good oportunity to test some new equipment....Thanks to Tiny for not being mad about it...:)^^

Description : Psychedelic blues hip hop with lead banjo and acoustic resonator slide guitar. Acoustic drum kits, fat basslines, soaring filtered strings, some strong Eastern elements (from guitar and strings), some dub and funk from the bass and drums and a bit of rocking electric guitar. Very unusual piece of music and a trip like no other I've heard. Some of it is like a dark, deep Southern delta blues track over a hip hop and dub backing. All played and programmed by me, no loops used.

After a quite turbulent long travel we’ve reached a totally unknown planet which is mostly covered with clouds. As we pass over it we can see parts of rivers through the clouds that come out of the dark rocky surface in some places. So the whole scene is alternating textures of white, dark gray and silver flashes. Unfortunately there’s no chance to land anywhere so we just pass, wonder and travel on …

Description : Messing around with my midi keyboard (I am no pianist as you will hear). Just a bunch ideas put together with guitar and keys. Don't miss the end :-) it shows the obvious lack of inspiration to find a decent ending of the so called musician! This track is work in progress all ideas are welcome!
