Description : After awaking from a disturbing dream this piece percolated out of the subconsciousness and found it's way here...I have no idea what it means other than that it is a decomposition.

Glad I had a look through your older stuff my friend. Man, this is a dark piece of art that is beautifully crafted!

Haunting, twisted and also very soothing! I really did enjoy this track. I've said before, you are one hell of an artist! Much respect!

So dark, so very very dark.
I can picture this being played over a snuff horror movie, then the man starts screaming, to be completely honest, I'm quiet scared. Amazing track you've got here, to be able to control a persons emotions so much, isn't that what music is all about?

Glad I stumbled onto this one, Great work.

That's one rusty Merri-go-round they've got there. The intro to this was chalk full of suspense. I was originally thinkin of Zombie flicks like Night of the Living Dead and then Resident Evil, the the jungle vocal effects on this started reminding me of those outbreak type movies and such. Then when the chanting started I remembered this one Zombie flick I saw ages ago about the scary world of Hoo-Doo, evil witch doctors, and all that. Can't remember it's name to save my life (nooo, don't bury me, I'm still alive).

The guitars on this are sorta like the changes in heart rate mixed with the emotions felt on a nervous (system) level. Thanks man, now I can't turn off the lights (shudders in chair). Later on!

Hello Dave,

Getting around to listen to some of my favorite artist on here...and your one of them.

I realize this is an older tune, but I wanted to hear it.
Sounds like a fretless bass...they are cool sounding.
You played it well on this one with all the sliding and some bending.

The background is fine, but I listen to mostly the bass as I play myself. So.....overall, great job!

Thanks Randy..yeah I like to pull out the fretless now and then..I really want to get an electric upright..I used to have an old dog house..but that was before the great acoustic pick-ups they have now.....thank you for the kind review..cheers mate

Sounds like a dream kind of song. Insane, random, and weird... i was looking around when that first shouting came through... actually couldn't listen through the whole thing.... Freaked me right out haha
Takes talent to make someone look around in awkwardness haha
um...nice? lol very jazzy and um?...composed :)
Well try not to have too many of those dreams...they'll freak out many many people :}

Very, Very nice! I agree it is like a "Dark Ambient" sound. I can hear the Jaco infleunce in your playing, very nice indeed. What year is your jazz bass in the photo? Liked the "Fly" touch as well (laughing). Man, that must have been one hell of a dream to inspire you to create this track. Bloody well done mate, bloody well done. D

Yah.. it is.

Very cool.

Agreed, miles davisish meets planetjazzbass..

SOMEONE LET THAT poor WOMAN out of the basement.

IT PUTS THE LOTION ON THE SKIN OR IT GETS THE HOSE AGAIN...
lmao...
Silence of the Lambs.. Awesome.

THIS IS DISTURBING. And I love your ambient sounding stuff a lot. Chernobyl is like one of the best songs EVER.
This is not as accesible, but the imagery here is amazing.

The fly solo was really good too.
Faving and downloading for the decaying youth in me, and the women in the downstairs.

Damn dude, the bass... so unsettling with all the other FX around it. Percussion was perfect and keeps you on your toes throughout the whole song, and of course the hysterical woman in the background and the fly. I definitely second whoever said, "Dead Man", this would fit right in with the movie which is kind of a western/surrealist movie. Also though, "Lost Highway" comes to mind as well, a Lynch film and one of the more surreal movies to date (can be interpreted so many different ways.)

This is gonna be a fav of mine, you are extremely talented. Awesome awesome job. I draw and paint as well and almost all my work is inspired by my ##### crazy ass dreams. My screenplays are all based off dreams as well.

Planetjazzbass replied Unknown - 2028 years ago
Thanks Clay...I like the "Western"surrealist image ..one of my favourite genres...Waking or dreaming the brains still functioning I wonder if it can tell the difference..and deliberately wipes most of it on waking...cause 'we can't handle the truth'?..cheers mate :)

Wow... now that's disturbing ambiance. It's like the music that Johnny Hollow plays on their website. The beat and the guitar is really disconcerting, and the vox sounds like they came straight from all 9 circles of hell.

Loved it!

Nice introduction...I have just emerged into the rain forest...Buzzing flies...Rustling leaves...

A Mayan tribe approaches...with their ritual dances disturbing the uneasy peace of the forest...A baby is being sacrificed to the gods to bless the lands and bring rain for the crops...which for many moons has been destroyed by drought...

They continue through the forest...and come upon a clearance between the trees...the decayed bodies of babies surround a stone pillar in the centre of the clearance....The baby is placed upon the pillar, her mother's cries echoing into the forest...the chief raises his hand to the sky...stone knife in hand...and a raindrop falls upon his blade...

Just in time for halloween. Like the fly buzzing around. Very erie. All my dreams are disconcerting. The docter said it would be that way after the open heart surgery. Been 4 or 5 years and the dreams are still weird. I may have to download this and put my boom box by the door and play this over and over while the little trick or treaters come around. I'm a big time horror movie fan so I like this a lot.
