Description : Am gonna put this into Fusion, as Trip-hop/Folktronic/Hip-house aren't currently avail options on here.

Stemming from the previous folk song remix that I did I was wanting to try my hand again and venture out into another part of the world. Did some hunting and found this Japanese folk song from the Edo period (that I recognized). Decided to mess with it and ended up taking it in a sorta Housey Hip-hop direction. The name comes from a 60s film trilogy that I caught a few years back. Done to kinda contrast the original song's theme/meaning. Hope yall can dig this crazy piece I've churned out for ya (and feel free to DL/mix/share/etc). Lates!

PS. Forgot to mention yesterday
that I used a loop from Lemon_Melon,
here's the link to it...

Hi my friend. This is a fascinating track, I love the way you've fused the musical influences together. I'm definitely agreeing with earlier comments, this is such a head bobber (I like this word, I wanna use it more!)

Really nice arrangement and production. Great work my friend.

That's cool mate. Like doin that myself sometimes (head bobbin, almost as fun as head waggin IMO, haha). This was a fun lil track that stemmed from a rather simple tune. Glad ya dug it. Later on!

This is too cool! I like the bass a lot, especially when it plays along with that pitch bent synth! Really nice punchy and glitchy drums! Totally awesome track! Faved for sure!

Yeah, that bendy bass was like one of the first things I did on this track (the first notes and all). It was the particular soundbank I used. Kinda made me think it had a jump-up sorta vibe. Glad ya dug it. Later on!

Really cool track I like that blending of styles! The drums and the rhythm were awesome. It gets really atmospheric too at some places and the synth melody is very catchy.

    Enjoyed the piece, great mix!

Yeah, the original track had such a simple exotic quality to it that I just had to do something with it. Glad ya dug it. Lates!

Track moves really nicely and the transition kept the continuity perfectly. I especially liked when the analoguelike hiss came in.

Funny the things we miss from the old records :-)

    Keep them coming

Yeah, that hiss is something I always think about when I hear people discussing vinyl (analog versus digital and all that). Sometimes its nice to reach back into yester-year to remind folks of what that stuff was all about. Glad ya dug it. Lates!

Thanks mate, that's one of the first things I tried tackling with this (breaking the main Midi file down to loop size sections). Speaking of 'arranging' as is this looks like an upside-down boathouse (what some of Japanese Calligraphy is based on). Glad ya dug it. Later on!

Yeah, after the last folk remix I wanted to scope out some Asian folk stuff. Stumbled across this and BAM, def had to do a TH/HH mix of it. Glad ya dug it. Later on!

Description : A fat groove journey incorporating hip hop, jazz, rock and more. Chilled out and rocking, with some big riffs and basslines. The main instruments are saxophone, piano and cello plus some resonator guitar and banjo. Sax is the only instrument not played by me as the parts here were contributed a few years ago by a guy I know. Anything that sounds like distorted guitar is actually distorted cello. Loads of that, including solos, in the second half. No electric guitar or bass guitar. Not much synth work but there are two synth basses and an organ. Otherwise, it's quite an acoustic "played instruments" kind of sound. Lots of drums, including loops, multiple programmed acoustic kits and drum hits. I know Radiohead have an excellent song called Everything In Its Right Place but I still like my title and there's a story behind it (nothing to do with music). Interesting feedback appreciated. Do you have any favourite or least favourite sections? Details are appreciated...
