My artist name is EASE. I am a UK DJ and producer making music since 1999. My roots are in jungle and drum and bass, from soulful liquid rollers and deep atmospheres to gritty Reese basslines and raw breaks.

I am hands on and curious about how sound works. I enjoy building bass patches, chopping breaks, exploring harmony, and turning technical ideas into music. Alongside production, I code and develop my own synths, combining sound design with mixing and mastering.

I listen across genres and enjoy exchanging ideas with people who bring a different perspective. I am especially interested in working with producers, vocalists, and musicians who value experimentation, musicality, and personal expression.

I work with a combination of digital instruments and hardware, including MIDI keyboards and drum machines. I use these to develop melodic ideas, layer basslines, and build rhythmic foundations from scratch.

My influences include Ed Solo, Calibre, Total Science, Roni Size, LTJ Bukem, and Break. Their music has shaped my interest in deep bass, expressive melodies, atmospheric sound design, and drums with movement and character.

I am also fascinated by the history of electronic music production, from early synthesis and analogue sequencers to drum machines, sampling, and modern software instruments. I enjoy the clockwork precision of programmed rhythms Iuse software instruments and synth plugins in Logic Pro, Cubase, Reaper, and Pro Tools. With high quality tools and my own sound design techniques, I create custom patches, original sounds, and production material for electronic music.

I use Ableton Live to write and arrange complete tracks, building ideas into grooves and finished tunes.

For sound design and detailed audio work, I use Logic Pro, Cubase, Reaper, and Pro Tools. These are where I create patches, shape basslines, chop breaks, and develop my own sounds and loops.

My synth setup includes Serum, Phase Plant, Pigments, Arturia Mini V and SEM, and a Vital fork. I also use my own EASE synths alongside analogue Moog hardware, combining software flexibility with hands on sound shaping.

I enjoy exploring each instrument to create warm subs, evolving Reese basslines, melodic textures, and atmospheres with their own character.

I work in a Mac based studio with a Focusrite Scarlett audio interface, studio monitors, and Neumann NDH 30 headphones for production, sound design, and mixing.

I use Logic Pro, Cubase, and Pro Tools for music production, Reaper for coding related audio work, and Ableton Live for writing complete tracks.

My setup includes a Korg MIDI keyboard, hardware, and software for hands on programming and shaping grooves. I combine digital VST synths with analogue hardware, including Moog instruments, to create and shape my own sounds.

I regularly listen to a wide range of all Genures and — from classic pioneers to modern innovators. My main listening includes Ed Solo, Calibre, Total Science, LTJ Bukem, Break, and Roni Size, and other artest in all Genure's newer melodic and atmospheric DnB and all artists. I study and break down their groove try to find there hidden skills i like to rip appart a sound and rebuild it from the ground up Samplers and remastering loops im a big fan off low-end balance, bass and drum Desighns , and musicality try to understand how my sound translates into modern production.
I also explore other genres such as garage, breakbeat, and electronic music for fresh ideas in rhythm, harmony, and sound design.

One of my favourite albums is Logical Progression by LTJ Bukem. What draws me back is the way its deep atmospheres, rolling breaks, and warm subs create both movement and a sense of calm. There is energy in the rhythm, but also space for the music to breathe.

I find that balance fascinating. Subtle changes in texture and melody can shift the mood without interrupting the groove, rewarding closer listening. It has deeply influenced how I approach my own production, particularly the relationship between melody, bass, and space, and how those elements shape the feeling of a track.

My music blends melodic drum and bass with deep jungle low end, raw breakbeat energy, and evolving bass hooks. I aim for warmth, weight, and atmosphere, with enough clarity for the details to come through.

I am drawn to artists who experiment because they have something to express. When music feels shaped mainly around selling a loop or chasing a market, it loses its appeal for me. I connect with the curiosity behind a sound, the risks taken, and the character that makes it feel personal.

That curiosity shapes my own production. I enjoy exploring how harmonic relationships change the mood, how syncopation creates movement, and how the space between hits affects a groove. I pull sounds apart and rebuild them, listening to how transients, bass harmonics, and dynamics work together.

I want my music to reward close listening while still making you move. Strong drums, deep subs, and melodic detail give it a foundation, while unexpected textures and small variations keep it alive.

In another life, I would probably still be building things, exploring sound, or solving technical problems. I am drawn to understanding how something works, taking it apart, and discovering what else it could become.

Music brings those instincts together. Coding a synth, shaping a bassline, and finding the right groove all involve listening, testing ideas, and making small decisions that change the whole result. I enjoy that meeting point between technical precision and creative instinct.

Whatever path I took, I think I would still need something to explore and create. The satisfaction comes from turning a question into an idea, then giving that idea a form someone else can experience.
