Description : Always experimenting with ways to get more out of the RD-9 drum machine. This time I fed the raw audio from the hardware into an FX chain in Reason and sidechained it. The result is a thick rumble but retaining really pronounced transients. Pretty cool and quite different to Ableton.

Description : Synth/pad originally made for a trap/hiphop beat. Went crazy with some pitch bends and fluctuations. It's pretty hard and gives a trippy, watery vibe. Could be used in a rap track with an icey, drip theme.

Description : Found this sub bass sound while searching for more drums and it sounds great. This loop is sequenced in C major, but you could chop out individual notes for your sampler pretty easily. Great sounding sine wave sub bass.

Description : I downloaded a new VST with a bunch of so-called Melbourne sounds in it. The VST was a dud but the samples it came with were pretty good. Here is one of them playing a stabby riff in D Minor.

Description : I was lucky enough to score the Native Instruments Techno/Trance bundle of software just for owning a Novation Launchkey Mk3. I am pretty impressed with the ease that these NI tools push out epic trance sounds. This is literally the first thing I recorded and I only added my own reverb to the sound. See you at the festival!

Description : Turns out the Juno-D can do a pretty good drum beat as well. I have sampled the sounds from the Juno and sequenced them in Ableton. Vinyl crackle is sampled from a record.

Description : Sound design with the mixer FX in Koala sampler can get pretty detailed. This techno FX loop is made using nothing but Koala sampler. The inly thing changed on the PC is the sample rate to work on Looperman.
