Description : Custom Maelstrom patch for Reason. I spent awhile fiddling with knobs here and there. Added a bit of fx at the end. Just a slight bit. Left the audio original as I had it ducking on a 4 on the floor beat. I suggest adding another bass line also. Cheers :D

Description : Short little funky drum loop. A bit of compression on the Kick with some eq to fit the mix. Some reverb on the snare and cowbell also. The weird little can sounding hit in here is a tabla sample pitched up a bit. Enjoy :)

Description : There is a cool little percussion synth called Bref that is highly recommended for techno and industrial producers. It is free and covers some of the same sort of ground that the Dfam or Edge hardware units do. This percussive sequence is just Bref with a bit of Magic Dice reverb on it.

Description : These percussion loops are all made from found sounds recorded with Koala Sampler. They sound pretty basic and rough on their own, but if you layer them over a 4x4 house kick they come to life and add real groove to your track. I used Alligator on the sounds to add a bit of rhythmic filtering and a room reverb as well.
