Description : This loop was built using the RY30 drum machine, which has that old 80s feel about it. Good for most kinds of dance music. The only effect I've used is a filter to take out the bottom frequencies so you can layer this over some drums.

Description : Some SP-606 sampler hip-hop beats today. The old SP samplers make gritty boom-bap style beats better than anything else I reckon. Chop up and flip. Just turn up the compression and lo-fi FX and you get Instant grit and dirt. These loops are named after streets in West Melbourne.

Description : This is an old loop from the ancient software that I dug up recently. The software might be limited, but some of the loops it could spit out still hold up to this day. I made this loop in 1998, so I can't remember if it has any other effects on it (I think it has compression of some kind).

Description : This is a kick I made with my RD-9 drum machine for the track I have just started working on. I'm particularly happy with how tight and punchy this one is. No in-the-box FX - just a bit of EQ and compression through the mixer into the PC.

Description : Got a new soundscapes generator called Dust (VST) and it is pretty cool for sci-fi sound beds and textures. I have further enhanced it with Roland Space Echo and rhythmic effects. Tis on is a bit percussive and sounds good with techno loops.

Description : Classic side-chained house bass recorded from Bass Station 2. No other FX required. Phat groovy bassline for house music.
3rd Aug 2025 08:04 - 4 months ago
Description : Just pure modulated noise from the Novation Bass Station. This synth can even sound like the Edge at the right settings. I have used an LFO on the filter to modulate the noise. The noise is distorted three different ways too - DS-1/Bass Station/FMD. Nasty.
