Another good song!
The beginning had a great sort of ethnic feel to it, the wierd detuned things sounded a bit like an out of tune sitar, and the bassline was wierd and somewhat creepy. This needs to be found by a movie producer or something

I think this does need to go into another genre, maybe wierd? Simply because I can't think of another genre for you to put this under.

Anyways, I agree with the very bottom review. Did the prey get eaten or not? We wont know. Ever.

I hear what you're saying, but don't really think it's terribly weird, but rather has created its own subgenre. The question is a subgenre of what? Actually, when I get a moment I'll put it up under Dub as it's probably closer to this than any other available here currently. Not the Reggae variant, but more along the line of On U Sound or even the Orb. Cheers.

on HARDSTYLE DESTRUCTION BY KooLKYLE by KooLKYLE
I liked the intro, the crash and the pike things were really nice, then the chord melody came in, and we could all tell that something big was at the end of those snares... I think, personally, the kick needs to be perhaps a little louder, although that may just be my speakers.

The strings are beautiful, the beeps that come in after the strings are nice and bouncy, then the proper sound comes in, and I prefer the second melody to the first.
I think you have spent a lot of time and effort on this track, and I think it shows by the amazing sounds and mastering, but like I said, the kicks were a little quiet for me. Its still going on my favourites though.

I loved the intro, it was beautiful.
I also really liked the distorted voices. Was that made with kore player?

As Eshar said, it is a bit darker than normal, but you have the guitar in there :)

Nice song, different to what I hear normally. Sounds like a soundtrack to something.

you're right Stephen, the voices are a sound from native kore, but they're not distorted ... ;-)
thx a lot for taking the time to listen and for your review!!

Really like the intro, full of energy, I also like the noize that comes in at 0:36. Kinda reminds me of some of the tracks from a game called 2097.

I think that the whole song is fantastic, but the melody itself is a little simple.

Nice work though.

I haven't heard the original, but this sounds pretty good. The introduction was filled with energy, and I liked the way you sampled the vocals :)

The sounds used are amazing, and the mastering is damn near perfect, I liked the echo on the "when you call"

I expected an actual chorus at some part.

And just to settle it, the original acoustic version was by Mr Special, so you actually remixed a remix :)

on Escaping Ft Sarah M by C69
I love the piano and pad intro, I think when the drums come in, it runs like clockwork :)

Her voice is beautiful, and you've managed to fit the synths around it perfectly.

I dont see it as a sad song, it makes me feel relaxed and happy :)

I favourited this one.

on The Looperman Song (all parts-demo) by JoyfulWAVE
Oh the dance version sounds a lot better, a little slow for my liking, but hey, its good to me :)

Its a good sounding track to me, but not as good as some of your other tracks, I'd actually suggest using something like an unfinished demo or something?

But anyways, nice work :)

Sounds good, I'd like to use this, what genre could I do, that isnt taken? I'm into dance and trance, but I think you're better at that, so what about drum and bass? Is that gonna be on there? (I am ok at tempo changes)
JoyfulWAVE
JoyfulWAVE replied Unknown
ok...updated the demo with a dance type version...download the demo and do something for it...pads or strings or effects...but not all...we need room for others..and also for vocals...so we can not overload the track...the verses must be more open..thats good for the vocals...and then more power for the chorus...
cheers...JW...

on A Closer Distance remix by tommyb
I love the guitar intro, the drums are not too loud, not too quite, just right. At parts it feels the vocals dont fit, but at others it feels like the vocals fit perfectly. I also really like the way the piano goes over the top of the guitar as well, everything seems to fit together perfectly in this song.

But yeah, I agree with Dfury, the volume of the vocals needs to be raised.

When its just the piano and the strings, and the vocals, the vocals really dont seem to fit too me, but the vocals are really hard to work with, I know.

Nice song, its going on my favourites for its originality.

on piano by tommyb
It has a piano in it. That was kind of expected as the name of the track is called piano.

The piano melody at the start is great, and I like the way a sequence starts to form, and slowly a new synth is introduced over the top of the piano, and then the drums come in.
I think the drums needed a hat inbetween the kick and the clap, but not too loud, just to fill in the empty spaces.

Nice song though, this is one of the only happy drum and bass songs I have heard.

on Close Proximity - callys gone by gixerk2
I really like the gradual introduction of the drums, but I think the kick in the start needs more reeverb, just to fill those empty spaces, but when the pads come in, it fits together really well, you definatley have a talent for drum and bass!

The speech in the middle is really nice, but I dont have a clue what it said :D

Again, this is a nice song!

on Close Proximity - the flight song by gixerk2
The pads at the start a beautiful, as is the drumloop, only You've introduced the drums suddenly, which actually really works well.

However, the piano and the pads dont work together too well, and the vocals dont really work too well either, but the bass is a really nice sound, so all is forgiven :)

Nice song, I'd like to see more from you, also, I make similar sounding drum and bass, so I'd like to do a collab sometime with you, if you want.

on I wish I could sit here forever ft Eshar by rei4real
I like the intro a lot, the bleeps the drums and the strings all work really well together. When Eshars voice comes in, it just enhances the whole thing, but I wouldn't classify this as chill out, to me this is more of a hip hop track- but its a good one :)

I like the actual lyrics that Eshar has used, I know obviously that you didnt make the vocals, but they are good :)
The guitar synth/sample is fantastic, is it a sample or VST?

Anyhow, Im gonna put this track on my faviroutes, and again, congratulations with your album :)

Nice use of vanguards welcome preset at the start, I like the way you build up this one, I often build up my songs in a similar way, the gated synth is fantastic, you definatley have a talent for writing energetic songs :)

I think that you've made another great track, this ones going on my favourites.

One thing I could tell is that most of the synths were from Vanguard, I dont have it, but I know it is it.

I love the introduction to this, its so full of energy. The kicks and the hats are fantastic, as are the synths you used. I like the bells in the background.

:o That piano is amazing.

The synth buildup following the piano is great, then when everything comes back together again, its really good, but at parts the bass and the piano dont fit together too well.

Still, you've got a great song, it was mastered really well, and I think I'll check the other four songs out now :)

I added this one to my favourites, the flute and guitar work amazingly together.

on Griff - No worries (2010 electro house) by GRlFF
I think that the melody right at the start was a little unusal, until you started raising the cutoff. At 30 seconds in you get a nice sequence going. You definatly sound like you know what your doing, and the bass slides are good.

Were you inspired by Benny Benassi at 3:14? Sounds a lot like Satisfaction, I love my sex, etc.

Anyway, you have a nice song, but some of the transitions dont work too well.
GRlFF
GRlFF replied Unknown
yeh just a little bit of a benassi/disco pogo inspired tune tried to be abit original with the transitions probably why they dont sound to good haha

I like the drums in the beginning, the samples that go along with them and the bassline, although the wobblepad thing is a little wierd.

But I agree with DAverage, you could play around with the vocal samples.

I really like the intro, it is really relaxing, the drums fit quite well, and the guitar thing is also quite nice, and I love the reverse parts, they work too.

I'd try for a slower drum loop though, but I'm not too bothered by that.

I like the faster drumloop too. The reverse sounds at 1:53 are beautiful.

All in all, good song.

I love the pads at the beginning, but me, bieng a deadmau5 fan and an FL user, I know you've used faxing berlin, but the guitars and ambience sound nice. Just try replacing faxing berlin with a pad, or synth chords, experiment around a bit!

Nice song though, I really like the guitar samples.

I better get on the vocoder and give you some vocals for this.

Tone2 gladiator. Its amazing, I have it as well. I see you are putting it to good use, the sounds in this are great, but I felt rap vocals needed to be inserted at 25 seconds in.

Still, its a nice song, and your making good use of an amazing VST.

I liked the intro, such a great nostalgic sound, (well nostalgic for me, I first heard a noise like that when I was 4, lol)

The ambience and bass where great, then the break came in and everything just changed, in a good way though.

I really like the samples, and the melody was good, even though it was fairly simple.

Nice work, This is a good song.
