Listen To I Wish I Could Sit Here Forever Ft Eshar Chill Out Song By Rei4real At Looperman.com

7th Apr 2010 21:19 - 15 years ago
Description : UPDATE: so here's the version with vocals .... I used an a capella from Eshar, a brilliant poem!!! I really love that lyrics, they take the song to a higher level ... many many thx Elaine for your permission!!! with the vocals I also changed the title of the track (former working title: sweet nightmare). I guess the best genre for it would be triphop, but that's not in genre-list, so I put it to chill-out ... anyway, many thx for the reviews on the instrumental version, thx in advance for the future reviews ... ;-) still it is not available for dl though, because it possibly will be released on an album in the near future .... drumloops from sony creative, stringloop comes from pianosounds and it's the starting point of this track (many thx man!!), rest as usual by myself .......peace, rei

Oh wow! superb production! I love the haunting synths, the call-and-response guitars and the lyrics just take it to another level. I am a poet who is learning to make music (took up guitar playing in 2003)and have produced a few tracks of my own, some are still work in progress. I feel I am in great company here. maybe we could do a collab soon. this track should definitely be in your CD! much respect!

I like the intro a lot, the bleeps the drums and the strings all work really well together. When Eshars voice comes in, it just enhances the whole thing, but I wouldn't classify this as chill out, to me this is more of a hip hop track- but its a good one :)

I like the actual lyrics that Eshar has used, I know obviously that you didnt make the vocals, but they are good :)
The guitar synth/sample is fantastic, is it a sample or VST?

Anyhow, Im gonna put this track on my faviroutes, and again, congratulations with your album :)

Hello there Rei,

I hear another nmasterpiece here! Elaine's voice sounds just like that one young girl in the 'Mad Max' movie...where at the end she is telling a bunch of kids a story about the future. Very nice indeed.

Great track & colab

Reminds me of the Sade track Soldier Of Love
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvDaJaU5My4

Awesome freakin' track, dude. The dark feel of the strings really accentuates Elaine's pella superbly, and the tremolo guitar part is fantastic. I've been working on a tune (tentatively titled "Walkin' In The Dark") which features synthesized tremolo guitar.

In any case, bro, this track is just one more in a long line of excellence. Kudos to you and your massive talent, my friend.

heheh hey rei!
I miss your sounds!
Awesome mix.
Awesome....
Tremelo guitar like water runnin' off the windowpane.

You nailed it.
I am really happy to see you back!

Perhaps my only criticism would be instead of the synth actual strings, but I know how it goes.. programing that stuff is such a drag.
Arrangement is effortless
almost trip-hop.
Totally frames everything.
Drums are amazing.
I envy you!!! lol

which synth do you mean? cause there are only 3 little synth lines in it, and they are more on the rhythmical side ...
anyway ... and I agree with you on the tremolo git, I simply adore the sound of a tremolo!!

ah, now that I listen again I think you know what synth you mean ... that's part of the loop from pianosounds ... check that out, it's called "jaw breaker string" ....

thx a lot for your review, as always much appreciated!!!

Lucky me! I got to hear both versions on the same day! The first version 3 times, because I had to clear my cache to load up the new version!

Everything I said before still stands. The only thing I'd change is this: your guitar sounds better and better with each play. A good sign when things grow on you as it's a measure of lasting power.

I hated Roxy Music's album "Siren" the first couple times I heard it. Then I began to like it - now 35 years after its release, I really think it's still ahead of its time! Now it's probably in my top 20 list.

I can hear this one standing the test of time in exactly the same way.

Wow - Eshar's voice here is an amazing addition! Her voice is brilliant (my youngest daughter thinks she should record books for tape), and in the context here becomes another voice and texture that somehow makes the whole seem even more complete. I wouldn't have guessed this, but it does seem "done" now, doesn't it?

I'd hit favorite again if I could! Lovely addition Rei!

Good choice in selecting Eshar's voice for the next version! In my mind I can easily invoke her voice over this, and it becomes so brilliant that we'll all need sunglasses to keep from being blinded!

You're a master at adding texture and atmosphere to your music. It's like looking at a Dali painting - the closer you get, the more becomes noticeable. This is a piece I will be as intrigued by in 10 years as I am at this moment. It stands outside of a musical moment and stands entirely on it's own.

But what impresses me most about your work in general, and here in particular is how you "Speak" with the guitar. The expressions you achieve, both emotionally and conceptually are fantastic. Like a painting, each note carries way more information and meaning than words strung together can convey.

This is music in the best of artistic traditions. Faved and plugging it in the "ambient logbook" thread as a Must Hear example from the Chill Out sub-genre.

Description : A progressive journey incorporating deep ambient chillout, swing jazz, hip hop, d'n'b, trance and a slight touch of acid with a thousand ninjas battling in space. Features a great deal of my lead slide resonator guitar playing. Also a whole load of synths, programmed acoustic drum kits and manipulated drum loops, big basslines, regular electric guitar, vocoded guitar parts and bass guitar (distorted right at the end). If you like deep chill, far out soaring beauty, fat beats and 170 BPM uplifting slide trance controlled mayhem, you might just get into this.
