I love the drums in the start of this, I liked the original by Tears for Fears, the Gary Jules version, and this one as well!
The piano fits in really well with everything else, and the vocal samples are well used.

I really liked the intro, the piano was really nice, and I liked the drums, nice relaxing ones. I think some nice chilled out vocals are in order here, take a look around, see if you can find any acapellas that fit on the site, because they'd be great.

The sweeps worked well with the drums in the start, and the pad was great, and the kick came in. I think there is a little too much reverb coming off the pad, but I'm using my cheap speakers so it may just be me.
The melody is great, nice bit of happy trance you have here!

on Hello by MrBylliGoat
Sorry for the long delay, completely forgot about reviewing this.
The drums and wind at the start were great, and so was the bassline. I think the wind needs to be turned down at parts, the vocals are great, and this is a very good song. I liked the main melody, and this is a faviroute for sure, I love this style of music!

No apologies needed friend. I'll mess with the wind (actually its a rimshot that's been stretched and skewed) a little to see if it can sound better. Glad you like it though!

on Satillite (smallpauls chillout mix) by smallpaul
I love the atmosphere, drums and pads in the beginning. They are simply beautiful. I love the waves in the background, and the chimes are simply stunning. From the start my mouse was hovering over the faviroutes, then then the vocals came in and I instintively clicked. Shame you couldn't put this for download, I'd love to have this on my mp3 player, but I know why.

on Games without Frontiers - Genggong Baboon Remix by n0mad23
The intro was great, I loved the ambience that surrounded the drumloops. The vocals (I think they were vocals) before the proper vocals come in are great. The actual vocals fit in really well, and I love the whistles. Very nice song, gotta move on to the other remixes as well now.

Actually the first vocals heard are audio hallucinations created by a combo of reverse delay and the Supatrigga glitch vst. It was from those initial sounds that led me to bring the bamboo mouth bows into this to try to create the illusion of an impression of further vocals - in this case the angry muttering of a baboon troop. This was a blast to mix, and I'm now an advocate for the occasional remixing exercise as it's a really useful thing. Thanks for the review!

on Just Hold On (Remix) by Niclas199
I like the fact that you sped it up, it sounds a little different, and better. The piano sounded a lot better than the pad, and I really liked the drumloop. Very relaxing. The chorus is a little out of place, try shifting it one bar forward and it ,will probably sound better.

The bass sound needs working on, but not much.

Nice remix of a great song.

I allways like reviews like this! So thanks ;)

as usual I do not use pad and strings so much in my tracks, so ain't a pro on that.
I've just started making my drumloops myself, so its nice to hear that you liked it ;) About the chorus.. I thought that it was something wrong to.. but never found out of it :P

Didn't put so much attansion at the bass this time, should do it though ;)

Thanks for the review!

Sounds very professional, specially the way the drums and the bassline fit together. I really like energetic trance songs, and this definatley is one of my faviroute ones I've heard recently. I think the buildup is great, but I'm not too big a fan of the high whistle noise. I did like the way you changed the sounds though, and the sweeps flowed very nicely into the crash. The pad and higher notes were simply beautiful, really flowed well together, this is the bit I clicked faviroute, the melody that flows in after that is great as well. The snare build was very well done, one of the better ones I've heard.

Very VERY good track. I want it on my Mp3 player, but I geuss I'll keep wanting. I'll be honest, I'd happily play money for an album with this song.

I agree that it is underground ish, I definatley like the melody, it does have a middle east-ishness to it.

Two years is a long time, how did you find this out?

The guitar at the start was great, and kind of reminded me of a song by sun kil moon called blue heron, The fx are fantastic, and I may try writing dark vocals for this beauty.

The piano and drums were amazing! I think this is honestly one of THE BEST HIP HOP TRACKS I'VE HEARD IN A LONG LONG TIME! Has a sort of middle eastern feel to the piano and strings, I think that you and Butchaa did a great job on this track. Its going on my faviroutes for sure!

on We are the System by TheConsumption
The drums in the start were great, and I could tell something huge was coming. I wasn't wrong. The drumloops are great, did you put a flanger on them or did they just turn out like that? Either way, I like this song, and the ambience in the background, especially the vocals!

Ste :)
TheConsumption
TheConsumption replied Unknown
The "drum" at the beginning and the glitched-out part has a flanger on it. It's actually a scratch sound effect that came with FL Studio that I messed with a little.

Thanks for the review.

on Revised Trance Anthem by bleinweb124
Surprised this doesn't have any reviews yet, so I'll write one.

Really liked the lowpass on the melody in the start. The sidechain effect you put on the melody was great, but I think the kicks maybe need to be a little less clicky and the second melody needs to be worked on a little more. Also, there are some parts where the song is almost silent. The piano was a perfect melody though, just the beep melody that needs a little extra work.
This is a good track, and it seems that you spent a fair time on this track picking out the right sounds, working on the intro melody and the sidechains sound great.

on Fat Girl by Fijensen
This is great! The vocal melody (and obviously lyrics are great)

"I have a truck. Its shiny and black, she can't fit in the front so she rides in the back" XD

Also the "fat girl" chants are awesome!

Very nice song!

I liked the intro melody, could definatley see that somewhere. I liked the synth that sped up as a buildup, and what samples are those? A word of advice, don't use TV or Movie samples, read the "remove tracks that contain unauthorised samples" thread on the latest site news.
Other than that, I have no worries about this song, except for maybe make the claps louder.

It's going on my faviroutes.

on Never Leave U4EA(DJ Stratos Mix) by DJStratos
The intro was beautiful but I feel like it needed to be shifted an octave lower. The bass sound used is perfect, and so are the drum sounds.

I really liked the bit where the drums go out and its the bass and the chimes, but the thing I really liked the best were the pads. I'm a sucker for pads.

Then the second chime melody came in and the whole song felt a lot happier to me.

Nice remix, I gotta check the original though!

on You Know Something Feat Jodie Brolese by priority
I've been waiting to hear this for a long time. Remember me? I failed to do the acapella for this :D LOL.

I like what you did with it though, and the singer is a lot better than me. I still have the original preview that you sent me over the email, and I have been waiting since then.

The lead is great, the piano is amazing, and this song is going on my faviroutes for sure.

Very good job my friend.

I think you mixed it really well, and I cant wait to see what people think of it.

I know I haven't played it on the site, but I've played it on my pc because obviously you sent it in the email.

I like the bit where its just the guitar and the wierd bass noize thing.

on Jupiter by djmpyre
I liked the minor chords used at the start, and the reverb on the drums at the start was great, maybe needed to last a little longer in places to make the track feel less empty, but at parts I can see this used as maybe a sci film soundtrack, I reccomend if you do another track like this, record yourself or one of your friends saying something, slice them up, add a band pass to them, et voila! Sliced vocals in parts of your song, making certain parts less empty.

on End of the Story by typeMARS
I liked the intro, thought maybe the sound of a cd going out, bieng put in and going back in and then the song coming in. The song itself was great, full of energy. I agree with nick on the hyperactive mentalness, and djmpyre with the unfortunate sudden ending.

I like the sound used on the main melody, but the melody itself seemed a little random to me, were you trying to fit a melody around the bassline, or the other way round? Just out of interest.

But nice song, I like it!

I like what you've done. I geuss deadpixel is right. Nasty but warm. Sounds somewhat japanese after the clicky bass.

Reply to reply: It has something of a japanese game about it.

Anyway, nice song, I cant do glitch, its one of a few genres I struggle to make a good song in, so its better than what I could do.

er...... japanese? thats something i never saw coming. thanks for listening though

reply to reply to reply (*phew*): thanks for clearing that up, i can give you some tips if you want them. my biggest one is resample a lot, especially with the glitch drums, same thing as dubstep except you resample the bass in dubstep. glitchstep you have to resample everything hehe

on Music is My Life Feat Elina Milan and TimmymOok by Jpipes24
I really liked the intro with the vocal effects and rhodes. The drumloop is really nice, I gotta be honest, this is a very impressive track. I really liked the change, it was very unexpected. I think the delay on the vocals is perfect, but I can't do as in depth review as I would like to, I'm using cheap headphones.

But I think that the style of the song is great, and its going on my faviroutes.

I gotta try chilled house some time.

This is going on my favourites, I really liked the intro, with the kick not fully in, and Stephanie's speech was really effective.

The actual singing was great too, and it fitted really well with the synths and drums.

Going on my favourites.
