Pretty cool chilled out track, nice composition overall, enjoyed it! There are some cool dynamics in the song, building it up and bringing it back down adds depth and dimension to it. I really like the change around 2:25, some cool changes in that section towards the end.

Good to see you adding some live electric guitar, too. Keep doing that man!!

Hello!

Well, that "live" word is not really true - played on guitar, but what you hear is a looped and edited thing. I play it dozen times then get the most acceptable one and upgraded it to get a few loops. You don't want to hear the worst tries, i sweat blood with the editing of the best ones too and the result is still crap if you hear it standalone. :D

I can definitely hear the Clash influence in this very cool track! I love the Clash, this sounds like something off of Sandinista then it kicks up notch when the change happens, cool dynamics. It has that reggae element that they loved to incorporate in their music. The vocals have that Joe Strummer attack and feel. Good use of the electronic elements that the Clash featured in so many of their track.

Loved it! Gonna download, thanks for sharing!

The guitar riffage is cool and catchy and I like the idea. If you know a guitarist to play the guitar parts I believe it would take the track to a higher level.

I hope you re post this after some adjustments to the reverb, would like to hear this in it's entirety fixed up sweet! I like the idea, chilled out, birds chirping, choral backups and some laid back music all work together nicely. The lead vocals sound good with their backups. I needed a song like this to relax me a bit, thanks!

Yeah, I had a few friends steward the gig, thankfully none were harmed.
I'm still in shock by it, where it happened used to be a haven to the "alt" kids from all across Greater Manchester, a place to escape the daily hostility & violence of scallies (chavs) and come together. I kissed my first girl there, first time getting pissed, wrecked, met my best friends, went to my first gig at the MEN and countless adventures.
Spent many nights being silly teenagers in that station.
Might sound a bit silly but that area is very sentimental to a lot of people.

I still can't believe it, I didn't think this kind of thing would affect me so badly, I pray it doesn't happen again.

Thanks for stopping by man, I've got a new tune in the works fueled by the whatever it is I'm feeling right now.

Sounds great, cool mix and balls to the wall! The vocal parts were an addition that would be missed if taken out. They add a lot even though they aren't a full vocal track, interesting bits at good times throughout the song and not overdone.

Certainly could see this being a crowd pleasure at a club! 2 thumbs up emoji!

Quite an emotional ballad you produced here, there is a nice rise after a "verse" parts that builds the song nicely. Loved the piano/strings combo. Simple arrangement, that's all you need to put together a sweet track like this. This is just missing a killer vocal track, hope you can add one at some point.

Hey dude, cool little rocker here!

What bass player wouldn't want a bass intro to every song, right? You have that punchy bass tone we all come to expect, totally dig it. The differences between the first half and second is a good thing, dynamics get overlooked often but this one has a calm before the storm. Good job on modeling the guitar's sounds, there is good separation of the tracks using different settings and effects. Love the delay!

More music box!!!!! Such an overlooked instrument in the world of rock.

Cool track, well put together! Mix sounds real good. The intro vocals have some cool effects on them and the stringed slide goes great with it. Speaking of that, I couldn't help but love the stringed slide instrument you used. The keys are a classic sound and work well with the overall feel to the track. Yeah, this is well done!

I want to clear up that I am actually not a hump as some people might want to believe. lol

This is pretty freeking cool man! There is so much to like about this track. Was digging the repeating, sorta mono-toned low end matched with the cool drums you used in conjunction with the sweet guitar/synth instruments panned wide. I was easily sold on the track and then the keys came in, sad to hear it stop.

Nothing too complicated and over produced, just a solid beat matched with the right instruments playing some cool parts. Sounds like a band jamming.

I agree with teamrufeless that some proper vocals on this would be the cherry on the icing. Great work!

Reminds me of when disco was changing to more of an electronic style of music in the late 70's early 80's. More drum machines and deep bass pounding out the beat. Your instrument choices separate themselves from the bass nicely and make the song interesting.

Made on a tablet, cool it can be done as easily as that. What we had to go through to get rough multi track recordings when I was growing up compared to being able to make this on a tablet. crazy! Well done!

Good music is good music, no matter what genre it's in. Although rnb isn't my go to style of music this is darn good and I enjoyed listening. The music has a modern rnb feel and the vocals were fantastic. I think some volume automation here and there would solidify the vocal tracks but I know from experience mixing vocals isn't easy. They sound great, what mic did you use to record them?

Kudos to all the performers and everyone involved, cool track!

Decided to give it a listen under the headphones, glad I did. Interesting to listen to how wide/narrow your individuals tracks are and how they are set in the mix. There is a lot going on, several sounds all at once but yet I can hear it all without the instruments crowding one another. Thought I heard a live instrument played by hand in there, I read the description after I listened, it sounds great and gives it a human touch.

I can certainly find some humor in the title for the subject matter and actually it's a cool title of a track. All the interesting sounds, textural differences, effects made my ears smile! Well done Spiv!

Yes, I think that this song is probably best in headphones. I tried pretty hard to sculpt an interesting, and slightly disorienting stereo field with this mix.

Happy that you enjoyed hearing the bass and guitar in there. I've been trying to force myself to practice and pick up my axes more. Repairing the six string helps... it's been repeatedly customized since I got it around '93 in a slightly smashed and enamel painted state.

My take on this is that you captured more of a textural aspect of music that effects the listener in much more different ways, than say, a lullaby or pop music would. That can make the listener turn on defense mechanisms as a reaction to the grinding, pounding and seemingly attacking feel of the sounds you created here. In some ways similar reactions a captive person would experience to torture. hmmmmm

I'd say you accomplished something here, well done!

Very cool, my kind of music! I love the western themed cinematic feel to this. Simple approach with the music but it's powerful and sets a hot, dusty, cowboy riding his horse scene in my mind. That's what music is supposed to do though, right? Well done!

You captured the feel of tension in that volatile region of the world. Now that US missiles have been placed in that region causing more tension than ever, the whole world should be worried about what that could incite. Two of the most egotistical, illogical and insane leaders squaring off can only lead to a downward spiral, it's scary.

Plenty here to listen closely to and ponder what will happen. Lot's of Asian sounding instruments and the vocal samples work well in setting the scene.

Whoa, my dosimeter just went off so it's time to run for the hills!! Well done!

America never seem to know quite how to handle people who can fight back.
The people of the south are now targets like never before and are very angry.
Tried to keep this as peaceful as possible while giving it a sinister edge. Tempting to fill it with the sounds of battle fx but I think that would take away from it rather than add to it.

No shortage of energy and enthusiasm going on here. I wouldn't worry about whether it's a basement tape or recorded in the best studio in the world, the point is to capture the bands performance and playing style. Honestly, this is better than most demos I hear from local bands. Any club owner would certainly book your band with such a recording in my opinion. Music is not supposed to be perfect and sound like a robot played and produced it, it should have a human feel, which this one does.

I still have no idea how singers/screamers can do that type of singing without blowing out their throats, so kudos to your abilities to belt it out with gusto! This rocks, no doubt about it. Good luck with your band!

Like everyone else who has commented, I also find the song has great production and is quite catchy. Great job recording the vocals, they sound great! Lot of Pop sensibilities in this track, catchy lyrics and performed well, a very cool arrangement and selection of instruments and the dynamics are good too. My favorite part is the build up that occurs a couple times. Reminded me a bit of Sgt. Peppers/Beatles. Pretty eclectic choice of instruments and sounds. Has a march feel to it, that works good for a song about toys. Different and interesting!

Thanks for giving me some feedback as well! I am glad you enjoyed it. I have basically 2 modes, either super calming jazzy music or very present modern electronic music. The keys aren't originally mine though, so I would recommend that you also listen to the original! I have slowed it down and changed the pitch, to fit my idea that I got while listening to the original song. So, thanks for your comment and time!

Sounds awesome man! Tele's have a cool, crisp edgy tone. Nice idea, the backing music is dreamlike and hypnotizing while the guitar cuts through like a knife. The idea is simple and it works just fine for me. Thoroughly enjoyed it, gave it a few listens, great noodling!

I couldn't tell you the first thing about what separates acid from any other electronic genre but I can tell you what I liked about the song. Firstly I noticed the vocal, cool catchy vocal sample, is that you? Pretty upbeat track, drums drive it and the electronic noises add a tense, erratic feel. Would be cool in a tech/sci-fi movie thriller.

Brainspotting, a nice play on the title of a cool movie which is quite similar sounding. ;) No tone or loudness button here, just a easily turn-able volume knob, sounds great turned up too!
