This is pretty crazy man! Music like this can adjust your attitude on the spot. I just listened to something completely different a few minutes ago and while this was playing my blood pressure went up 40 points, lol!!
Great idea overall and excellent execution all around on it's construction and mix!! Totally dig it!!
Hey Met...I`m diggin this one...Mary actually did have a little lamb..If I can`t come up with a melody in my head when I`m playing I just recite one of those little old nursery rhymes to myself while I play so I don`t hit more notes than necessary..man...this is creative stuff (not the usual canned stuff we hear a lot of on radios)...I really respect artists who create their own sounds rather than try to emulate ones we heard already...great job....Ed
That's not a bad idea! I usually just go with the flow and my imagination does the rest.
Thanks man! I want to cut this down, deepen & lengthen particular sections...
My trick is having no idea what I'm doing!
Field recording is a sure fire way to add a little uniqueness.
Last year I worked on the rails for my City's Metrolink system and when the trams were stabled they would produce this noise that sounded like the coming of the four horsemen! The problem was it sounded off at random times so I could never catch it!
Love the intro. After that was expecting it to explode more, still, I do like your weird rythm thing, much more interesting than general mainstream dubstep.
That's a good ear you have there.. It did explode a little more originally, I brought down the decay on the first bass sound to experiment.. I thought it sounded groovier.
Hah, the rhyme was a last minute addition.. I may expand on it :)
Ableton drum rack mannn that thing makes everything so much easier I literally write entire tracks using that! Quickest way to mess around with stuff
and that's sick that you used real life sounds and stuff like L4D I love that game! that's what creativity should be about big up from me man! keep it coming
I don't use vst drums.. I use samples that I've either grabbed from somewhere or recorded myself.. Combined, manipulated, processed.. The snare is my favourite.. It's a combination of a metal baseball bat hitting the big ass bin at my work with two axe hit sounds from Left for Dead and a standard DnB styled snare, taken from an Amen break.. Still needs more work though.
But if you mean DAW, I use Ableton and the in built drum rack to host my samples.
Dude, you got some whack sounds on this. It's got a swing to it. Just curious, are you mixing loops or is this from scratch? And ya gotta love some new cans right? What did you end up getting?
Description : Chaos....Chaos ensues when life is unfolding in many different ways all around you. A demand here, a demand there, do this, do that, things going wonky or all happening at the same time. It's overwhelm but it's excitement, it's crazy but it's also very real. Welcome to the world of Kay-0s!
Please feel free to download from kayos2.bandcamp.com if you want to support our work. Many thanks, Oli&Kay
Description : In 2015 I made a dubstep track called Labyrinth Of The Absurd. This is part 2. Check out part 1 if you haven't yet. This is a Dark D-n-B. Or whatever.
I used Serum, Massive, Sylenth1. I used no presets, and no prefabricated loops. This is all original content from scratch. The only exception being the vocal samples.
Description : Ambient breaking into dnb I guess. All loops (except for 1 synth by my 7 yo daughter) so I can’t take much credit for this. Free demo loops from Loopmasters and LM loops from:
the inimitable blindwolf2; ambient bass loop - danke; arax; l-3436512-0214678; apollo; drmistersir; looperman-l-0291301-0226917; looperman-l-2972616-0231648; jakebur4; looperman-l-0337508-0047278; buffalonugalus; mmedia
Description : 170 BPM drum 'n' cell epic. That's drum 'n' bass with lots of my layered, lead cello playing. It's both banging and chilled out, with intricate basslines and soaring, melodic cello parts. Instruments: electric cello, piano, three synth basses, two synth pads. Drums are loads of drum loops supported by a few programmed acoustic drum kits. It's fast and powerful stuff but there are also two deep grooving half tempo sections. No guitar so anything that sounds like it might be is, unsurprisingly, cello. This was fairly hard to make and required a lot of hard work. It's still far from perfect, especially the rather abrupt, unimaginative ending (I couldn't think of anything better). Have a good listen and then consider leaving me some fascinating feedback. Not much drum 'n' cell about so I like to think this is worth checking out...
Description : Sometimes I love taking our great singers out of their comfort zone and placing them in a completely different genre. This time, it's Callmedezz, for whom I've created a velvety soft bed of sounds for his rather powerful voice, making sure the women feel comfortable after light is switched off :-)
Description : This track uses lyrics written in Morse Code, with tempo and pitch adjustments to fit. I’ve also programmed some Morse into an analog synth part.

Description : So ive been listening to alot of dnb lately, and i decided to try my hand at it. It turned out to be alittle more chillout than I wanted it to be, but I still like how it turned out.
Description : I met this October with a desire to do something new. I got tired of listening to 90s Jungle and decided to make something fresh that would still sound old-school in the future.
Album: Autumn Tunes
A ambient type of DnB track, one to make you think, Second attempt at the DnB genre for this year, again apologise to Drum and Bass artist, guessing again not your normal DnB.Used flute Rhodes Piano, and a few other bits to hopefully get the feeling for the piece I wanted, along with a few break beats/bass lines and FX etc...
Please comment/review and the favour will be returned...
I got my start in the industry (As in paid artist/music label) with Liquid DnB, it's a nice thing to go back to every once in a while. Especially remixing such fantastic vocals.

From scratch dude, I'm not a fan of looping, synth and sampling all the way.
