on Intoxicated by HenryPascal
Nate has some cool a capellas, I like how you used them here. At first I was sure if I'd like it, sounded a bit too "electronicie" to me, lol. But I try to give all music a chance and as I listened I realized how full the mix was and I(shamefully) put aside my musical prejudices and began to get into it. I see how your description, production and lyrics all came together, sounds cinematic, big, cool!

I dig it!

Cool track, great mix and sound cool sounds all the way through! An awesome vocal track would elevate this even higher. It's gotta be something that fits the whole feel of the track. That's not to say this isn't any good, don't get me wrong. Fave!

Haha thank you so much for your feedback and I do agree I'm hoping I can find a vocalist for this track soon.

Genuinely appreciated your feedback on this. :)

on I d Like to See the Dawgs by vigwig
Hey Vic, good to see you around! Hope you are doing well. I can see you have been working on your mixing skills, well done! It certainly has your subtle flair all over it.;)

How's the fishing lately?

Wayne
vigwig
vigwig replied 3rd May 2018 - 7 years ago
Thanks Wayne. That is very kind of you to say.

I'm not fishing anymore. Well I'm boatless and can't go by myself. I have balance problems and the last time I went (last year) I fell out of the boat and it was all my son could do to fish me out of the water. We did catch some nice fish tho. I went down to our subdivision lake/pond a couple of mornings and managed to catch a fish both times. From the bank. All the fish in there have been caught multiple times. You'd think they'd catch on (no pun intended. . . yeah, right) vic

I was digging this one right from the start! First off the mix sounded really good. I liked the break in the middle and the ending quite a lot, it breaks up the more intense parts of the song while it still has the same cool factor. It's upbeat and fun, cool track!

Yeah, i had luck with the mix in this one. Had some hard time with it, did not want to get together until the last minute as i can remember.

on leben - life by joecramer
New world and rock, exactly! The lyrics are poetry, plain and simple. Your vocals fit the music and are interesting despite not knowing the language.

I like the drums/tabla, they set the world feel right away. I think the guitar in the second half could even be a little louder but that is coming from someone who wants loud guitars in every song. :)

Nice one, cool, mysterious, modern, well mixed and the performance on the vocals rock.

Thanks for sharing, gonna dl a copy!

Thanks a lot for your really friendly words Wayne.
Always nice to read that one liked what i have done.

This song could need a "real" guitar and that one should sure be a bit louder in the mix. But i am a really really bad guitar player, so i have to wait until someone else does the job or the song must stay just like it is :)

stay tuned

on The Backroads by Orlando51
23 is a lot of collabs! I just listened to Ed's new one a couple minutes ago and it's no wonder you two guys work so well together.

Ahhhh, cool, peaceful and relaxing, nice way to start chilling out as the sun is approaching the horizon. Walking, driving or riding the back roads is always a fun thing to do. The sights, smells and sounds make you appreciate nature more. Driving at night after someone has cut the grass on their lawn or field is a favorite thing of mine.

Thank you guys for sharing, I'll be dl'ing a copy, this is quite awesome!

Cheers!

on Deep breath by FatalDecline
Not enough of this kind of rockin' music here. Vocals are cool, wide, effects are big. Looking at the waveform I was wondering what was going to happen at 2:45. That break was a neat change and unexpected.

"gritty and with questionable intent". ha!

on Avengers 4 - The Endgame by Billydragon1
Very cool track, your style of music and vocals is well executed here. This is great. The lyrics/poetry with the vocal samples are perfect for the track. There's almost a pop/rock feel to the track, the drums set the pace and feel of the track, rhythmic and punchy while the delayed and reverbed vox sit in opposition. That is good songwriting. This has a Sting feel to it, well that is a first impression. I like it!

Wayne
Billydragon1
Billydragon1 replied 25th Apr 2018 - 7 years ago
Thank you Wayne. I haven't listened to Sting for a long while, i hope he's still plucking his Bass guitar to "Every breath you take".
When i heard Thanos voice on the teaser trailers, an idea hit me to sample it and build around it. This was the result. I'm glad you liked it.
Blessings - Billy.

You get a great recording for your vocals, from the performance to the quality of the recording. You pronounce the words clearly and are very articulate, I can understand all the lyrics. They sit well with the music which surrounds them and doesn't interfere with them so the production and mix is well done. I liked the intro, it built some tension giving the verse impact when it got calmer, good dynamics.

Cool track man!

on SON OF MAN DEMO by VicaMOOR
I like the track, cool vibe for sure. Nice use of space in the track, it's not all cluttered up with stuff that doesn't add to the track. My only suggestion would be to either lower the main vox in a few places(ex: 1:00, 3:11) or add a little reverb to soften them a bit. Other than that it's freaking awesome!

The bass was deep and punchy, mix was wide and expansive in my speakers. The guitar sprinkled in there works well. The vocals add a lot, they are not overwhelming, they do add to the track as an instrument, sorta. Lot's of neat things to listen to and you set a nice atmosphere here this morning, thanks!

on TE1 - Veins for venom flows by TheEnlightenedOne
Dig it! Slick little number you have here. The arrangement, diversity of sounds and a cool idea really make this a good listen. In my head I can hears a number of different styles of vocals from screamo rock to electronically engineered vocals, Trent Reznor, Depeche Mode styled singing or even hip hop or a rap delivery would work. Hope you find the right fit!

This works for me! Pretty upbeat for chillout, it's not heavy or too loud but the genre means little. Chillout-ish, ha, that sums it up. Good intro, solid changes and instrumentation, dig the length and was easy on the ears. The change in the middle was very nice, broke the song up and added some dynamics to the song. Two thumbs up!

Man, I just listened to a chilled out rnb song that was a great start to my morning. I just took my first sips of coffee and hit the play button to this song. Dang dude, my heart rate went up, I feel like mowing the grass and doing a cartwheel all of a sudden, lol!

I don''t know crap about dnb other than drum and bass are featured but as I listen to this a 2nd and 3rd time I am starting to let it all absorb into my senses I realize I was completely right about my knowledge of dnb. I am sure this will appeal to those who like dnb and those who like something completely different, I fall into that category.

Sure was a trip, great creativity and making music that appeals to you because pleasing yourself when it comes to making music is most important.

Whew!

Sweet track! I do love music like this. Instruments are well played and the composition and arrangement is great. I struggle as well with my disabilities which are numerous so I do appreciate the sentiment of the song. Grin and bare it, life isn't easy to begin with but music like this certainly puts a smile on my face, thanks!

You have a pretty low register to your vocals, can't complain about how they are mixed. You created a dark, edgy track with lots of tension with both the vocals and the instruments. A bit cinematic as well, I could hear this in a thriller. Good way to finish off the year!

Happy new year!

Such a nice pop song. Martin's loops are fantastic, can't go wrong there. What is not to like about this? The vocal recording is clear and well sung, nice performance! Great songs don't need to be complicated, sometimes the simpler the better.

Well done!

on The Plight of the Wolves by DijamMusic
It's pretty sad how our wildlife is treated, their homes invaded by urban sprawl, poaching to the point of extinction and a total disregard for their well being and surroundings. Wolves are beautiful animals. A friend had a wolf/husky mix and it was pretty cool looking.

Interesting interpretation of your description. The bass has a feeling of prowling or hunting. The ticking/percussion was an unexpected sound but I'm sure your reason for putting it in there is justified. Nice piece of music overall!

My favorite is Howlin' Wolf.(blues great!!)

Cheers!

Well crafted piece of music, your description helped to set the scene as a listener. It has highs and lows as far as emotion goes. The vocal pad or samples that you used added just the right touch, not too much just the right amount. Nice job putting this together!

One of a kind, you're one of a kind! Many have made mention of the countless things that make you unique in you're own way. I'm a firm believer in following you're heart when it comes to music. Please yourself first when putting these ideas together, others will follow more if you show how authentic you are.

Epic song, c i c what u did with the words here. Sneeze or cough in there at 2:46? Well done Spiv, always an adventure! And make sure you wipe of the recording needle next time. :)

Cool industrial feel to this one. The driving beat with the varied sounds and effects made me listen intently all the way through. Other than the ending being a bit abrupt, I liked the overall feel and concept to the track. I could see a bunch of robot and automated machines cut quickly as a visual in a video for this. Just long enough to get you absorbed while listening then makes you give it another play to check it out again.

Very cool!

Great idea, great song, nice job with the singing and the production is great! Writing about life is great songwriting, being frank and not so rosy gives it "cred".

I'm older now and when I look back, it's all the tough times and not so great moments that I have persevered that have made me who I am. Of course you have to suffer through a tough life first to get to appreciate it, lol. But it makes good song material.

Like the track!
