i love this track i had to close my eyes while listening to it man i really love your work i'm going to download this i give you alot of respect very well put together 10/10
Hi Dave, In a word, EPIC. This song is so chromatic. There is so many colours, textures and layers to it, it's like a big groovy jazz funk cake filled with lots of great rhythm and melody.
The production is mind blowing!!! It's an amazing track and sound...
Hey Steve..I occasionally take a stroll from the diatonic path..lol..this had a lot of separate elements in it which I know you've had experience with..I think I might keep things a little less cluttered in the future..I've since remastered this and tried to get a little more separation and clarity in the mix..cheers mate..oh,by the way I've got a tune in my head with your name on it!..Dave :)
Cheers bc..you are way too kind in your description..I've remastered this and expanded the higher end frequencies..I was too much into bass mode when I originally mastered it..cheers planet :)
im so impressed with this i saw the beach blanket bingo comment that does give those vibes but such a hard driven bad ass feel like surfing through explosions well done
Vanessa is blessed within the planet gene pool.....great synergy between her voice and your music.....I hear there is going to be hail in Melb for tomorrows AFL final :(
Great work

Hey mhyst..thanks for the cool review...one thing I've found about using percussion instruments is their ability to get that higher frequency presence without the overload of cymbals that an ordinary drum kit projects...plus I always master the rhythm track first by itself..then add the other elements into the mix and finally do an additional final master...cheers :)
Ahh mhyst...I wish I was..this is one of my best friends 'Cam' playing.(I do play keyboards but more as a background filler,as bass is my main instrument)...Alas Cam died last month after a long illness,he would have been delighted to hear your comments..he was indeed a trained player..yet I never heard him play a strictly classical piece..musically he had so much to give..I just wish I had more of his material..but unfortunately he was reluctant to do many recordings and mostly played live gigs...cheers planet
I knew this was going to be cool from the get go with the percussion groove, then bass, sax, building into pure magic. You and Slap can't go wrong. A tight jam indeed, very cool man. Love the new avatar too. Cheers!
Hey man at first I didn't recognise your new moniker...thanks for a great review!I'm glad you enjoyed the ride..I'll be over to check your page very soon ..cheers mate :)
Great track, I think you sound a lot like Victor Bailey in his Weather Report days ( I've noted this before in a review of one of your other tracks ). Nice one.
No wonder you got so many reviews:your track is just amazing.Love your guitar playing, the chords you use and that sound.Put me in a very special mood. Thanks for the trip

A truly gorgeous piece of work. Lovely jaco-esque harmonics and ambient backdrops remeniscent of Steve Hillage's work on "Green", a rare treat and definately one for the favorites list - well done.

gotta love the meandering but steady bass lines throughout the piece. it's like zappa and miles davis got together in the amazon.
bass lays a nice foundation for the rest of the song and totally locked in with the drums.
