After doing my cameo too many times as a lurker, I thought I should tell you just how much I like this piece. Sure you could map it out and orchestrate it fully, etc., but the Spirit is in this one. I love the bass in this!

love the comments, love the great arangments, from my favorite bassman on earth, another masterpiece of artistry. Peace. I think there is good intelligent hip hop, The Roots is an example, but there is a lot of crap also, lol, bling bling sh???t.

Absolutely fantastic stuff, reminds me of Ozric Tentacles, with all it's fusion of Reggae, Psychadelia and Electronica. Excellent playing, excellent production, excellent track.

My name is Stephanie Byng and I'm the producer of an amateur audio drama that is a mix of romance and psychopathic thriller. By amateur, I mean that the show is not for profit and will be available for free on our website. It is made by and for the blind community. I love your music and I am interested in using this song as part of the soundtrack during a romantic scene. Because we want to respect your integrity as an artist, and copyright laws, I am asking your permission to use your work in our show. Please comment me back and I will give you my email address so we can talk off the site.

It's always nice when you've sort of seen someone around the site, online sometimes, mentioned in posts, so you know they're gonna be good. And then you eventually click play on one of their tracks - ah, refreshing. Very cool, this planet of jazz bass. Definitely diggin. I've gotta turn a couple of my friends onto you, they're gonna love this. Jazz man!

Excellent brass and wind work. The brass sounds real, what's the deal? Is it true/

nicely done! your niece definatley should pursue spoken word. the piece is very relaxing and intellectual, something i would expect from someone twice her age. nice instrumental also, very original and fits the piece well. Good work to both of you, can't wait to hear more!

From the mouths of babe, aye? My youngest is about to turn 11, and I love watching her imagination at play.

Vanessa has some lines here that are so poetic, I had to backtrack and hear them immediately again. Glad you're obviously fostering the creativity in the family youth.

How subversive.

Hey Sean..I've never experienced the joys of Fatherhood..but I love being an uncle...sort of lets me in on the ground floor with my various nieces and nephews and they dig it that I treat them as equals intellectually and creatively..hehe all the fun and none of the responsibility...but then that's me.lol cheers mate Dave :)

Hey Abe..cool..I just love the way children can be so totally spontaneous and emotive given half the chance...Such a change when I was a kid where children were to be seen and not heard...I think kids, every kid should have the opportunity to become involved musically from a young age...couldn't hurt. thanks mate cheers Dave :)

Where did this one come from? Disabled for a stint? Post-Traumatic-Stress related? "Debacle?" What about the dancing in the streets? Having heard "Lance Johnson Surfer" first, I'm really struck by how much that song is connected to this one both thematically, and sonically. Too bad Joe Strummer's gone, as I'm sure he would have dug this track (and I'd track him down to have him listen), as it carries the same vibe as some of the Clash bits. I love the way you attack those strings - the physical expression is perfect for this piece. Love the fusion driven rhythms holding the foundation. "I love it more than my life." Yeah!

Hi Dave,

Thanks for reviewing my Rock tune of recent. I am finally getting around to give reviews back. Been working a lot. Had to scour down your tunes list as it looks like I had reviewed most of them already. :-)

So this one I didn't listen to before.
Sounds pretty cool to me. Lot of stuff going on in it. Good drums and steady beat. Not sure if you played Bass on it or not, but that part is good as well. Certainly does have a 'spacey' sound to it.
Good job in mixing it.

Very nice collaboration. Perhaps a little echo or reverb on the vocal to closer match the feel of the music - sounds a little like a voiceover as is. Track ends a little abruptly. All the pieces are there and mostly polished. Nice job.

Hi Planet, This is great work - very discursive. Excellent outside soprano sax and your bass is very like Victor Bailey - super track.
