Description : This is one of my earliest productions that I did at the start of my recording career. I did not have a keyboard at the time I made this song, so I improvised and used my sister's iPad and a 5 dollar GarageBand application instead, and plugged the headset jack into into my PT6 rig and did my best to turn each individual track (which were mono and there were about 25 tracks or so) into a stereo image. Then recorded vocals over it. My computer was so old and slow that I had to mix my music and then BOUNCE it to a new session - four times. My computer (which had 512 MB RAM and an 80 GB hard drive) couldn't handle more than 8 tracks at a time or it'd stop working because the processor couldn't handle it. Took me FOREVER to do. But I got it done. Had a lot of fun doing it too, even if it isn't my "best" work. I'm still happy with it, considering I didn't have many tools to choose from at the time.

All three were made by the excellent MrRobot! I ended up using this track as an opportunity to try out the Parallel Killer Guitar that I finished putting together not long ago. These are amongst the first recordings of the guitar. So I guess this turned out like what I would call "hard dub" or maybe it's just dub-glitch... totally not dubstep...heh. I was going for a tape recorded feel on this one for the most part. Hope you enjoy it!

Description : It's been a while since I posted anything original, and the reason is I've been spending tons of time between this song and my guitar build. Both were started and finished virtually simultaneously. This song is hard to describe... those who know Spivkurl will recognize my style in this, but I have tried to take things bit further composition wise in this one. It's a bit pop for me, but oh well. All basses originated on my modular synth. Vocals are all me. Please let me know what you think! Description : Yay update online : I change all the structure of this track and the second name is Lao The dragoon .This track vary between soft and hard sounds its why the name start with "Unstable" and the second parts "Waves" is to make a link with Static Waves (TCK II). This track first started on my keyboard at the end of March 2014. Around the same time, I had some hard time with my personal life (see My dad is stronger than Chuck Norris). As it wasn’t enough to have my dad at hospital, another sad personal event occurred in the same week. At that point, I had the choice between crying OR take that « Keep calm & Play piano » attitude. Choice was easy, I played piano for hours… wait, for weeks and finally ended up with a WIP.
From that moment until few days ago, I worked on one of my favorite epic experimental / hybrid cinematic track so far.
Warning: There is panorama in the track and some sounds could have less impact using a cellphone. Sounds great with laptop… but you might have to turn up completely the volume. For a better experience, please listen with desktop or headphone.

Description : Was in a weird mood this weekend, so I went for some loopy electro this time. Tried to carry my aesthetics and recent style into this genre which is not my usual. It was a little tough to mix this one, but I think it turned out good. Have fun listening!Full remix kit has been discontinued as of 28 May,2014. Description : 'Grinnin' In Your Face' is my second track featuring the voice of Son House (1902-1988). Just as 'John The Revelator' this re-mix was inspired by watching the rockumentary 'It Might Get Loud' with Jimmy Page, The Edge and Jack White. The pivotal moment comes when Jack White plays his favorite a capella track by Son House (www.youtube.com/watch?v=qTlSka5iqPY). This made a big impression on me. I wondered how House's incredible voice would sound when transposed to a housebeat. Thus unusual combo of two genres (blues/gospel and house) worked out fine, I think, in 'John The Revelator'. For the new track I sought a hard edge approach. Instead of the lyrical sax by STAX, I used electric guitars for solo and rythmic elements, going for the very rough sound Jack White demonstrates in the rockumentary by playing, slightly out of key, one-string slide-guitar. 'Grinnin' In Your Face' is part of a Son House Project I'm working on, paying hommage to the old blues in a new musical environment.
