Description : This one's a bit hard to describe in that it seems to have a few genres, i.e. rock, funk, R&B, and pop, so I'll just put it under the rock category. I hope you enjoy it, and if you do, feel free to download.

    Hi Scott,
    Great track.
There is not so much to say about this: very professional, all the elements (guitar, voice, drums) are simply "perfect".
    Very well done!
    Ciao, Domenico

PS: I did not mention explicitly the bass, it is also very good, a bit "understated" but that's exactly what the track needs. So it is perfect as well :-)

My sincerest apologies for missing a reply to your comment. Not sure what happened, but I'm sorry.

Thanks so much for your kind words. So glad you like it and took time to comment, even if I'm slow with my reply back.

I always dig your mixes, they are very clean and your choice of panning here makes me think deep about such things. Great guitar and wah effects. There is so much to listen to in your tracks but they never seem crowded. Always a pleasure!

    Hey Wayne,

Thanks allot for checking it out. I appreciate your comment about my tracks never seeming crowded. I do realize I put allot of stuff in my tracks and sometime think I may be overdoing it, so it's good to hear I'm not.

    Cheers,
    Scott

Very ice use of panning!! I love the concept and nice loop that was used. Love the piano especially!

    Hi Jklice,

Thanks for your comment. I remember the early days of panning when it was more aggressive than today. I like the sound of different instruments mainly coming out of one speaker rather than both. Not sure if it's right or wrong, but it just sounds better to me.

    Cheers,
    Scott

Very cool Scott, love the clarity in the mix of instruments.
I also love that moving bass line and the jangly guitar work. Cru

Definitely it is hard to put in one exact genre...but this is bloody good...vocs are pop/rock/hip a bit, guitars, bass are surely funk, the drums are new wave plus some strings from the classical side...awesome track Scott...
Always loved the works from the team but this song is very close to me...I think the mood...

Thank you so much, Danke. So glad you like and took the time to comment. I always love receiving and reading your kind words.

Actually, this track started out as funk, but I found some cool pellas that fit well, and it just started taking on a life of it's own. I actually like it when that happens, because I usually get something out of my comfort zone.

    Cheers,
    Scott

Description : This is my newest creation, at a stage very near to completion. No third-party mastering or mixing, as with all my tracks. Just have to fix a few tiny things. I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO MIX EVERYTHING IN THE SAME SESSION. This song has all human-played instruments - no quantization or MIDI! My brother does all the vocals except for the interlude part, which I do. My other brother plays the rhythm guitar (a Gibson Les Paul Custom - only one of 12 in the world!!) and I play the accompanying guitar (a Johnny Mar Jag and PRS). He has a lot of guitars :P A good friend of ours, Ronnie, plays the bass and another friend, Freddie, plays the drums. The drum track was done in one take (had to use an electric drum set due to time constraints - but acoustic kits are so much better). Overall, pretty satisfied with the result. Let me know your thoughts.

Vocals by Arthur Granquist, guitar by the great Kevin Lysen, drums by Marc Karmatz, also the recording engineer.

The idea musically was to take some rock and some bluegrass elements, mash 'em up and see what happened.
