Description : “TheLeach”, bass player with the German group, How to Loot Brazil, recently posted several acapellas here on Looperman. These are the actual vocals from tracks that the band has released.The acapella for “Box Room” caught my fancy. I did listen to the band’s original version (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7r9zbgn8tU), which I liked a lot. For some reason, though, I found it really difficult to figure out the chord progressions used in the band’s version. I think that is because it has a very complex electronic arrangement that, for much of the song, is more about providing interesting counterpoint to the vocal melody than laying down a traditional instrumental bed. Not sure if that description makes sense, but if you watch their Youtube video, I think you will understand what I mean.
I started trying to work out the chords using a piano patch, and that seemed to set the tone and style for my remix. I use Logic Pro and it was telling me that I was playing all kinds of crazy chords (11ths, and 13ths, and diminished). Had no idea what I was doing, frankly. Just searching for chord sequences that sounded right. Spent a bit of time chopping up the vocal and time-aligning it. Added a bit of processing. Dropped one whole section of the vocal because I just couldn’t find a way to make it fit with the style and feel of the remix. (It worked fine in the original and also in other remixes that have been done by Looperman members.)
So, this remix is very different from the band’s original version. And, I hope that TheLeach, who wrote the song, won’t be too upset with where I took it. He wrote it on an acoustic guitar, apparently, so it clearly evolved quite a bit to get to their recorded version. Anyway, doing something different is what remixes are all about. Right?

Description : Brutally honest and terribly contradictory, straight to the point by way of strange curving route between the river and the shopping mall. $5 minimum is a high price to pay for ignorance. I'll tolerate you when you've given in to my scare tactics. Couldn't have done the vocals the way they turned out without a certain ridiculous brainwashed fool, you know who you are. Go ahead, convince yourself that you're doing the right thing. This started out as a simple tech-house sort of instrumental, and then it blew up into what it is now. I used two looperman loops in composition for this track, firstly looperman-l-0630386-0060622-joefunktastic-funk-for-the-soul-drums1-95bpms, and secondly looperman-l-0711726-0058529-proecliptix-raw-loop-1. Thank you immensely to MrFunktastic and Proecliptix for the sweet energy. Beyond that, I want to thank RenzWilde for continuing my evolution as a guitarist... couldn't have done it without you. Guitar is played on my Jackson, which I finally got the floating tremolo set up properly on recently... ahhh intonation. Has a bit of atmospheric synth created on my microkorg, and a nice kick from the Zoom RT-123. Spot vocals and synthie vocals were recorded on my 100 proof mic. Here's what I've got, got anything of value to barter with?

This is a short instrumental piece which works as an ideal "closure" of the first side of the album. No real instruments played here: guitar is a programmed virtual instrument, all the rest are loops from an old magazine which I used to buy in the 90s (cubase magazine or something like that). As usual, feedback is much appreciated.

Description : I have a passion for Bossa Nova, and Ferryterry has treated us to a great little instrumental tune Bossa Nova tune titled Bossa Delight. When I heard it I immediately started humming a melody over it. This is a work in progress. I hope you enjoy it so far....Ferryterry (guitar) and Mario LG (drums).ADDENDUM: I am slowly trying to do better with mixing my vocals. So, here is my SECOND attempt at mixing this tune better.
