Country Songs, Tunes, Tracks & Mixes
Description : In light of the growing tensions in this country over the past few years, I attempted to create a socially conscious groove as a reminder to us all especially our younger followers, just how important it is to keep in mind (as the Obama sample states WE ARE EACH OTHERS KEEPER) hence the Sweet dreams. Meaning we need to be aware that crimes and aggression towards ourselves only assists the current state of mind of those who now run this country. Lord knows THEY DO NOT NEED ANY FURTHER HELP FROM US. We are about to enter into a long hot summer with many questions as to how our country will now be led, over the next few years by the newly appointed heads of state. I thank you for taking time to read this as I rarely post any writings. Enjoy, listen and most of all be safe!....(All Unarmed)

Description : I asked Jim to swing by and to bring a pre amp and some mics he had and I was hoping to work on mic'ing his stand up bass. Something got lost in translation and he showed up with all the mics but instead he brought a custom, hand made Fender Tele styled electric guitar and the Fender Bassbreaker amp. We had a good laugh, Jim said the guitar was one of three made especially for a well known country guitarist who, in the long run, ended up with only two, lol. We took the ToneBone pre amp and used it for both electric guitar tracks. The second electric track was recorded using my Epiphone Riviera into my Fender DeVille, both amps are tube amps. We went line out rather than mic'ing the amps. Tried the bass through it but I ended up doing the bass yesterday and today. I put two drum loops in Ableton, forty seconds of drums. Just a test to see if the ToneBone was worthy. After watching some you tube vids about it, it seems like it's a keeper. Enjoy!
Description : Randall822 did a wonderful country track that charmed me. I wrote and sang the deep love lyrics in Oroko (Bantu language spoken in Cameroon) and in English. Enjoy!! And please tell me how I did.

Description : Jail ain't fun but writing songs about it is. I recently watched a movie on Netflix - "Imperial Dreams," I believe it was called - a great film about the odds stacked against ex-cons trying to live right. The system doesn't want you to succeed because prisoners are commodities that can be exploited for profit. That's why there's so many of them in America, land of the free - more than any other country on earth, including China, a totalitarian state with 4x our population. And yet we sit meekly by and applaud the disastrous war on drugs as it continues to destroy the lives of millions to no good purpose whatsoever. OK, jesus sorry, there I go again. Sunny War on vocals and guitar. Nice funky guitar and an old-school rock-out break. I'm proud of this song. It will be on the TRIBEZ album, which we look good to finish this week. Please comment - it's always encouraging and helpful.
Description : Guys, I was talking to a friend oversees and he was telling me of the story of protest and unrest in his country, as he was talking about it this track was forming in my head. I hope you like it, if you do then please leave me a comment.
Description : Rock? Pop? I dunno. It's called "Maybe I'm Crazy" but you can't use apostrophes in the title line. This is a song on my protest album APOCALYPSE, which we're mastering next week. Vocals and guitar by Sunny War, additional vocals by Lisagaye Tomlinson. First recorded this song a couple years ago with full loop orchestration and me on vocals (big mistake, not to be repeated!). Now with Sunny singing and playing, it sounds like it was meant to. Not a heavy duty protest song, but lord I am fucking tired of getting lied to by the criminals who run our country. Just sayin'. And I guess that makes me crazy in our age where deceit rules and an astonishing few give a shit.
Description : Recorded first draft of this in December with Sunny War, the vocals with a full loop orchestration, before we started using her guitar (yeah, I'm dumb). But the music was too pretty and saccharine. Then when I woke up to the magic of her guitar, we went back and started guitarifying everything we'd done. In this case, we replaced the entire loop orchestration with Sunny's guitar work, and now the song sounds like it was meant to. The lyrics are inspired by Sunny's life, which I was just getting to know about a little at the time. She used to ride trains around the country with her guitar, a la Woody Guthrie, when she was a teenager, and so that set my mind to imagining...

Description : Acoustic, double riff
Description : Hey folks, I've been away for a while, sadly my Dad passed away so music had to take a back seat till I felt up to it. My brother Chris let me know he was writing songs and was recording them on his phone. After listening to a bunch we decided to do a few which got my mind onto making music again, thankfully. We have similar writing styles and likes when it comes to music so I figured he might like my style of producing. He has the copyright on all his songs through the U.S. Copyright office. Idea for the song happened when Chris was driving to Melbourne and saw the storm clouds brewing while his wife was knitting during the long drive. So he sat and wrote about the drive. Folk/Pop/adultcontemporary/country... what's in a lable? Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks. Enjoy!
