Out Of The Boredom - SLAPJOHNSON
8th Apr 2009 19:47 - 17 years ago
Description : Totally bored stiff after a bad day!!!! So I suppose you could call this therapy... One acoustic guitar track recorded first take, then one soprano sax track recorded first take, add a touch of reverb and a small amount of compression. Now I feel better. I hope this has the same soothing effect on you...

Description : EASE. Propella Head.
Dark atmosphere meets melodic lift in this upbeat roller from EASE. Deep bass and a driving groove keep the momentum moving, while the melody brings an emotional pull. Propella Head draws you into the shadows and keeps your feet moving.

Description : Heavy, but you can still dance to it. The kind of industrial from the Chicago Wax Trax era, bands like TKK. At least that's what I was aiming for.

Description : We used to ride all night thru downtown Chicago blasting Return to foever in Marks 72 Vega with 12" Ventura BIC speakers in the back that were chrystal clear. i was still too young to drive. Those were some of the greatest times I ever had I'll never forget that band the bandmates or those times. Mark out did himself on this Re-mix/Master. He also updated the Drums, makes the track feel brand new, even tho it's 4 years old.

Description : Sorry guys, you can't listen to what I've planned for this track. The gods have spoken and their words are scripture.
Instead, here is the instrumental to the work. I'll put the uncensored version somewhere else.

Really relaxing track, beautiful melodies in this one.
Saddly, I've reverted to using my old built-in speakers so the quality is lacking, and it's distorting a bit but I'm sure with some half decent speakers this track would be truly amazing.
I'll relisten and re-review when I get some new speakers.
As always, great work.
Being a jazz musician is great, because you have to create melody instantly when improvising.
I'm glad you like the track...
