Description : so having been inspired by our girl Rita singing the blues I threw myself in and had a go, i went at it with full gusto, i think soul, blues are hard to hit because the singers always have fantastic voices lush females and deep soulfull males with great baratone vocals, i obviously don't have the greatest voice, but you gotta have belief in yourself first, yes i put emotion into my lyric delivery so this was a stretch, its less Teddy Swimms more dimestop sings :)) i'm sure you'll let me know

Hey dimestop, great track - it's honest, with intent... I think your voice is absolutely fine here, it was the focus for me. So it shines through the music. It fits well and a nice clever message put into it. Well done
thankyou for your kind words PaperKup i put seriously hard work into writing more than anything although i do like playing keys and making beats and since i returned from a 10 month break, your an artist that as impressed me with your cinematic work, thanks again for your time, its appreciated
thanks bro, its funny because i do get anxious about somethings but not my voice its the one i've got, not much i can do, lol, i find it easier to sing or rap about something cos i god dam wouldn't talk about it openly, but your comment is nontheless inspirational, if people enjoy their listen is what counts. i'm glad you had a great one, i also see you have fresh up so i'll be taking a listen
You have a very special voice my friend (to my personal taste) with a very characteristic complexion and expression !! Great Track Paul (overall) ! Cheersssssssssss !!
fanis thankyou for your kind words and your time is appreciated listening and commenting, and reading inspirational comments gives you the inspiration to carry on thanks again for giving me your time
Youre honestly one of the realest artists on Looperman, Dimestop, and it shows in your music and how you carry yourself. The authenticity you bring into your sound makes it stand out, and it's refreshing to hear something so genuine. Keep doing your thing, player-youve got something special, and I know it'll only keep getting better.
thanks for your kind words Richard, as you know i put a lot of work into lyric writing, lots come from personal experience or from close friends experience and i try to write clarity with subjects many can identify with easily and to be truthful as a young lad i was confident but not so much these days but being able to put my thoughts and feelings into song or rap, i can be heard because i probably wouldn't talk about things in a conversation and i'm far more relaxed about music too, ive spent quite alot of money upgrading lately and still have a few things i'm still planning to add, new midi and new mic, so you know my commitment is there my good friend, i'm hoping to improve more and do a few collabs, yeah bruv i will eventually do one with you, so we can show our contradicting beliefs in the best way explaining why we can believe differently but still enrich each others lifes :))
you carry youself well too Mr Shekari thats exactly why you have become a firm friend within the community, manners cost nothing but go a long way irrelevant of your standing in life and as everyone says the truth hurts
A great effort here Paul, you have approached blues in a very own way, which is the beauty of the things in music. I am sure you will discover more of the bluesy Paul, in the next song you will work on. I think it is a very succesful and personal way of saying what's in your mind and soul.
Best regards, Anthony
thanks for your words Anthony i'm always trying to stretch myself new genres as it is great vocal practise and i always try to write from my heart, i have so much locked in there and it comes out in lyrical form, as i probably wouldn't be brave enough to talk about things, i'd feel too anxious but i get my release from singing or rapping them and sharing them with my colleagues here helps relieve the stress i carry lol
You know what, man? Greatest voice or not, you're not afraid to put it out there because that's what YOU want to do. I'm sure you've noticed that there isn't a Valvedriver track on here with my voice in it. (There is one that exists, just not here.) So, there's that.
Tell ya what, though, you might do well to try Reggae. I mean, if you like Reggae, that is. Doesn't make much sense to do something you don't enjoy.
Either way, kudos to you, man. Keep it up!
Take care.

Aaron i have always loved your individual music talent and your support of other artists, i'm also sure with your skillset you could put a good vocal together and get it to sound on point, Reggae i love, old school more, and although i never ever sing in public not even karaoke when i was dancing on the holiday camps when i was younger, i did get up in one of the pubs, a little pissed and i grabbed the DJ mic and started to toast on smiley cultures Cockney Translation, showing my age lol, the places was packed, everybody started singing it back it felt mint lol the DJ said keep going the places is banging, my one and only concert only one track though cos i wanted another pint lol. i enjoyed my try on this
Ha my big friend go's blues/soul now. Nice how you start to try other genres now Paul ,and nice to hear your higher voice.
Im proud on you that you didd give it a try.
Your lyrics are like always super.
Well done mister.
Next i want a rock and roll from you lol.
hi Rita, thats right went all Blues because of you inspiring it and sparking an idea, i did try a few higher peaks in places, rock and roll might be a struggle lol but you never know, i still want to do a punk number and another rock track but dimestop will always pop up with his attitude
Hello Dimestop, hats off to you my friend for tackling this blues thing, its not easy but you served it up pretty well....the guitars and accompanying instruments were good and all I can say is keep at it my friend, its well worth the effort and its music.
glenn i thankyou again for gracing me your time, i've tweaked a few things for a better finish and your spot on about it being a tough genre, especially singing wise and as i have no experience of Blues, i thought it was a decent effort considering the voice is forefront and open to critique, which i have no issues with either as long as it's constructive
FABULOUS title - says it all - love these lines 'truth costs more than comfort
but comfort's how I survive', lyrical genius. I like the Blues guitar and well done for expanding beyond rap and hip hop. Your emotion is so raw and you convey it beautifully. The story and the emotion are the important bits :)
Kay before we heard you sing, you were and probably are still a poet, i remember Oli mentioning it, so you know how important finding the right words are, and then getting them heard as you want, i thought there was good emotion in this delivery and people tend to compliment my raw emotion, i don't really know how to do anything but, lol, thanks for your kind words

Great effort, well done. I'm no blues fan, but I think this result is fantastic. Great lyrics performed by your signature vocals; hopefully more to come. And yes, the mix could be improved, listened to with headphones.
thankyou, i'm no blues fan myself really, its ok, but Rita gave me the spur to try it, i really liked the lyrical content i wrote I thought it fitted well, the mix and volume levels have now been altered and i'm much happier with it. thanks again for your inspiring comment, it does,t sound bad on speaker either lol
cheers Robin, it needs a few adjustments, minor tweaks, volume wise, i'll have a look later, but overall i'm happy with it song wise, i'm chuffed you got a 60's 70's vibe i want it to sound older not modern day

Description : Did you ever have those days when you are totally distracted? You find yourself switching from one thing to another due to overwhelm - say hallo to 'ADHD' But this time we could focus on the song and used some loops from Hysteria and Bigishi. And a big thanks to James who did help us with the guitars. (He was in the mood for blues :-) We are on Bandcamp as kayos2 Tell us what you think of this track....
Description : Of all the classic Monster tales the Wolfman is definitely one of the saddest. Cursed, and destined to live as both man and monster. During the day he sits alone with his guitar, a prisoner of lonely existence, crying his heart out through his music. Then at night, the beast emerges, and in the dark under a full moon, he cry's as he rips the hearts out of his victims! Such is the life of a cursed bluesman!
Description : Hopefully it is the first song of an imaginary album that I will call "Diverse waves". I believe the title of this "album" will keep me focused on a style that incorporates and blends various musical elements for the pleasure of our ears.
I really hope you will like the results of this attempt.
Description : This is a tune dedicated to my friend, Nancy, who followed me to the clubs I played at for years, and is still following me with my studio work. Why do I dedicate this to her? Onnacounta cause she's soooooo naughty! She never liked violins, but loved her sax! Here's to you, Nancy. Anyway, this is a little blues track with some nice guitar and sex...oh, sorry, I mean sax.
Description : guitar on right run thru my friends mesa rec 25. It has an absolutely gorgeous tone. The guitar playing D, C #, B is run thru guitar rig 6. The the pushed back guitar on the left is also run thru the mesa. My UNC chapel-hill decision letter is coming out tomorrow and I'm super stressed. Whipped out my guitar and recorded some stuff. Hope you like it.
Description : A sultry, seductive, and fairly short acoustic blues number. It is an instrumental and only took about 2 hours to write, record, and get a decent mix. Enjoy! Updated: I added some slight echo to the electric guitar and widened the stereo fields of the acoustic rhythm and leads.
Description : Miguel Flores, vocals. Jean-Maurice Humbert-Droz, lead guitars. Laurent Schwaar, guitars. Roland Sumi, bass. Richard Pizzorno, Hammond. Laurent Wirz Drums. Loop from josephfunk (rhodes). Composed by Miguel Flores.
Description : KesstA or "What's ur prob" Blues is an excuse for having fun recording several tracks of guitar and trying to make them sound alright all together. If it sounds a bit messy or jammy, well it's part of it.
Description : Fresh out of the studio after 10 weeks of deliberating, planning, writing and performing.
This could be classed as Country Blues or Southern Rock...either way I think it may get your toes tapping. So grab your partner and jump on the dance floor with this one.
I am performing the following instruments...vocals, electric guitars, slide acoustic, bass, harmonica, organ. I wrote the following instrument parts in MIDI....drums, percussion, piano, horns. This was a beast to master but I think it turned out okay.
No loops used.
