OK, let me start by saying you are definitely on the spectrum or smoking something really good. This is creative on a whole another level. The thought process that went into this track is impressive to say the lease.

Kind of you to say - we sort of dance and pirouette around genres rather than sitting nice and neat in any particular one - sometimes u hear a loop and you automatically get the right timbre - fortunately this happened with Lights Out!

There is a special touch, it is so lively (yet "dead"?) it deserves a stage, and a special set up to give the audience the full essence of this song. Rita it just came out my mouth that way, lol - I kind of channel the lyrics and the interpretation just comes out the way it sounds - it's all a bit weird, I know! The nursery rhyme effect could be school kids passing, noticing the For Sale sign, or it could even be ghost children finding it funny that the person who has died doesnt know they are in Spirit Thank you so much for taking time to listen to this - Kay

Hi Rita - the singer is me (Kay) ;) Nobody is in a coffin - if you check out the lyrics things become clear - essentailly it's about someone passing into spirit v quickly and not knowing they are dead..Hope that helps a little ;)

Ha, talk about my track being eclectic. This is also pretty genre defying. It's an awesome mix of elements. Your vocals sound so good on this and so clear and intimate in the mix. It's a fantastic track all round.

Lyrically pretty cool too. Though very different in tone, it put me in mind of Watching You Without Me (Kate Bush) track in terms of its story/theme:

I wouldn't label it as Hip Hop, but it's absolutely FANTASTIC! The beat and lyrics are incredibly catchy. The call-and-response element adds a lovely touch. It's definitely a track that makes you want to nod your head! Great job!

Hello Mykael - yeah, Oli and me did have 'artistic differences' re how to label the genre, lol. We would love to know what everyone thinks it should be. I said 'weird' but Oli didn't like 'weird', lol. Maybe weird/indie with a splash of hiphop, lol. The lyrics wrote themselves thru me, as the loop is so darned strong. Love it - reminds me a little of the tom tom club but has more of a quirky 'english' sound to it (if that makes any f###ing sense). Really clever in the way it draws from a wide genres of music and combines different elements, and is totally engaging with such a strong narrative and in the way it utilises rhythm through the track. Perfect production as well!

It does have a very English Nursery Rhyme feeling and it does play with your head - is it ghost children singing that or bored children from the Street, lol - I loved writing this, it kinda wrote itself. Oli's production is v intuitive - Thank you so much for your feedback, it means alot to us
