So as a musician, I listened. The Sax harkens back to a time in the seventies when that type of sax was prevalent. The song had a "Thank you for the music" ABBA-like feel to it. And to be fair, that's a great song to be compared to. You have amazing harmonies as two sisters, and your music is divine. Keep at what you do.
Great voice, I only wanted some extra crackle in there for my taste. Or maybe I got the wrong idea. It particularly reminds me of a Bioshock game. Well done
Hallo und danke fuer deine Zeit und dein Lob! Mir ist nicht ganz klar, was du damit meinst: "I only wanted some extra crackle in there for my taste" ? Liebe Guesse Manuela
Hello Manuela, what can I say... you're all absolute professionals. This is a brilliant composition, so voluptuous and comforting, and above all, so beautifully sung... (sigh). You're unmistakable from the very first note.
Liebe Gruesse vom Micky
hallo Manuela,
it is a lovely song you guys recorded and produced here.
beautiful performances by everyone involved.
congratulations and all the best wishes
One of my favorites Manuela. To me gave a taste of smooth jazz (especially the solo parts of the sax). The vocal harmonies may of course better suit the blues or the country swing style like you describe. Well, it is easy for your excellent team to create beautiful songs. I really enjoyed it
Best wishes, Anthony.
Hello Anthony, thank you for your kind words. Well, as you probably know, I'm not a fan of "categorizing". I just think a song should touch people, no matter what category it comes from. Best wishes, Manuela
I love these lyrics! They capture the beauty of love and connection so perfectly. The imagery of singing under the stars and the sparks in your eyes really brings the emotions to life. Its so heartfelt and relatableeveryone can connect with that feeling of wanting to share a special moment with someone. Keep creating; your passion shines through!
You have a magical voice
Hello Richard, I'm glad to hear that you like the song. We always try to convey emotions with our songs. In the more than 15 years of my musical career, we have created a large number of songs and still have numerous ideas that we would like to realize. Best wishes, Manuela
I heart everyone who had a hand in this song. Sometimes I think im being versatile, but not compared to u! U all can do incredible work, and in several genres. I was just thinking, it's a rare thing to be as multi talented and wide ranged as u and Angelica and everyone else. Something lovely to unwind to, here. Thanks, dear. -Aaron
Hello Aaron, I want to reassure you. There are many genres in which we would never excel. But that's exactly why we avoid those areas. I have it easier than you in that respect because I always have the support of my sister and the musicians. And fortunately, having a large number of musicians also gives us great versatility. Best wishes, Manuela.
I really think that this was one of the best moments in Looperman's history ...
Thank you Manu for believing and presenting the magic of 'live' music ...
hug,
Danke
Hello, Danke, my friend! I'm so happy that you like the song. Your praise means a lot to me, especially because you are an excellent live musician yourself. Best wishes, Manuela.
Beautiful - the simplicity of the verse layout and lyrics is a perfect backdrop to showcase the wonderful vocal/acapella. A Stunning sax solo and loved the guitar. I closed my eyes and had a vision of the Beverley Sisters in parts here. Nothing is overdone but everything is beautifully executed. Kay0s
Whats going on here? full natural all in suits you damm right. Opening line, got so much life and control at the same time. Im just absorbing everything. Who did the backround parts? you booth toghter are just one cloud of sound. I love how you changing your colour of voice to suit all the the motives. 2nd your band, that some toto type of dedication to tempo and feeling, I love how Uli Stein served the song with just vibes and minimal approach to give you all the space. The key tones from Angelica gave it a playfull innocent feeling and she got so much feeling and groove. The bass is out the world those crazy slides and his upper harmonics he createad, Ulli Stein ist a beast. Sax player is on Point. His entry was bould and kept me on the edge, great dynamic solo and just brought that song into a new dimension. He got that amazing soulfull timbre and never going in too much, some sox solo try to own the song but thats never good. the Master is just pure natural.
Hello, and thank you for your detailed comment and your great praise. If you mean the background singers, they are Mel Shazira and Angelica. Best wishes, Manuela
nice intro acapella Manuela, lovely tone and a sweet melody keys lovely melody box adds the jewellery sparkle into the sax which is stellar, the change up just a step at 1.07 with that bass underneath and i loved the sax re entry at 2.09 with that split second detuned type note, wonderful to here an instrumentplayed so naturally theres a real human feel to it, im a fan of Olaf's BB since your first introduction and following the anniversary great track with a lovely lyric sheet and beatiful delivery
Hello Paul, it was a pleasure for us to be able to contribute to this anniversary album. One of the songs has even made it onto the shortlist for the soundtrack of a well-known German film series that will be produced in 2025. I'm excited to see if it works out. But I also believe that it will be a very special album. Best wishes, Manuela
I am impressed by your voice, its timbre and the way you sing, of course "circling" it by excellent musicians, as I hear. Your piece is very good. Nice tune and nice mix.
Laughs! Thanks anyway, my friend. *smile* Yes, you're right, if you're interested in our collaboration with Olaf's Bigband, then listen to the songs on "Hello". You'll find the link to the website in my profile. Just scroll down until Olaf's Bigband appears. Listening to the songs is free. *smile*

Those wide and oh so sweet backing vocals were tickling my ears. And I remember olafs jazz band from a previous track, had to listen!! Nice flourish to finish with the cymbals.

Description : Did you ever have those days when you are totally distracted? You find yourself switching from one thing to another due to overwhelm - say hallo to 'ADHD' But this time we could focus on the song and used some loops from Hysteria and Bigishi. And a big thanks to James who did help us with the guitars. (He was in the mood for blues :-) We are on Bandcamp as kayos2 Tell us what you think of this track....
Description : Of all the classic Monster tales the Wolfman is definitely one of the saddest. Cursed, and destined to live as both man and monster. During the day he sits alone with his guitar, a prisoner of lonely existence, crying his heart out through his music. Then at night, the beast emerges, and in the dark under a full moon, he cry's as he rips the hearts out of his victims! Such is the life of a cursed bluesman!
Description : This is a tune dedicated to my friend, Nancy, who followed me to the clubs I played at for years, and is still following me with my studio work. Why do I dedicate this to her? Onnacounta cause she's soooooo naughty! She never liked violins, but loved her sax! Here's to you, Nancy. Anyway, this is a little blues track with some nice guitar and sex...oh, sorry, I mean sax.
Description : A sultry, seductive, and fairly short acoustic blues number. It is an instrumental and only took about 2 hours to write, record, and get a decent mix. Enjoy! Updated: I added some slight echo to the electric guitar and widened the stereo fields of the acoustic rhythm and leads.
Description : guitar on right run thru my friends mesa rec 25. It has an absolutely gorgeous tone. The guitar playing D, C #, B is run thru guitar rig 6. The the pushed back guitar on the left is also run thru the mesa. My UNC chapel-hill decision letter is coming out tomorrow and I'm super stressed. Whipped out my guitar and recorded some stuff. Hope you like it.
Description : Miguel Flores, vocals. Jean-Maurice Humbert-Droz, lead guitars. Laurent Schwaar, guitars. Roland Sumi, bass. Richard Pizzorno, Hammond. Laurent Wirz Drums. Loop from josephfunk (rhodes). Composed by Miguel Flores.
Description : KesstA or "What's ur prob" Blues is an excuse for having fun recording several tracks of guitar and trying to make them sound alright all together. If it sounds a bit messy or jammy, well it's part of it.
Description : Fresh out of the studio after 10 weeks of deliberating, planning, writing and performing.
This could be classed as Country Blues or Southern Rock...either way I think it may get your toes tapping. So grab your partner and jump on the dance floor with this one.
I am performing the following instruments...vocals, electric guitars, slide acoustic, bass, harmonica, organ. I wrote the following instrument parts in MIDI....drums, percussion, piano, horns. This was a beast to master but I think it turned out okay.
No loops used.
Description : UPDATE 26/01/2014: Improved loads of things in what is probably my greatest chillout alternative blues piece. Ambient, ethereal, groove-based delta slide blues. Contemplative and melodic. Multiple, layered , sometimes shimmering resonator guitar parts with solid, warm synth bass, an ethereal bed of pads (which are actually guitars) and second electronic drumkit to contrast the acoustic kits. I thought this was perfect a few years ago but it wasn't (and still isn't). Now has clearer drums and lots of small awkward bits of guitar have been trimmed. Quite a minimalistic and short piece for me - I don't just keep bringing in new instruments, as I usually do. This should really chill you out...
I must say that the sax is so beautifull .
The whole song including your beautiful clean voice is a great track
