Still working my way through your back catalogue - this is very nice - great balance between the natural and ambient noises (though never like the sound of a mosquito about the bite me!) and the instruments the bass drifting in and out in lovely and really nice work on the stereo balance
Cool ambient vibe man. I do a lot of stuff with this "blurring the lines" theme in mind. Mine are always short in duration. I assume most folks are too ADD to sit in front of a computer & listen to something that's only vaguely musical for more than 90 seconds. This track is going for background ambient though. I'm not aiming for that on my more ambient pieces. So in that regard, they're different. I think the major distinction to it is a true ambient piece doesn't have any sense of direction to it. It's not keeping a rhythm, it isn't building to a chorus or break. True ambient is free floating sound with enough precision to it not to be just background noise. Creating good ambient music is not as easy as some people would think. Creating music with very little structure takes a certain finesse. I think you accomplished this quite well in this track. So great job.
Hi, thanks for the listen and comment, very much appreciated coming from one such as yourself. Yeah you're right, there's ambient and there's ambient. I started out listening to 'ambient' tracks here but soon worked out my definition seemed to be different. But it only comes down to what experience the listener is looking for. So there is no good or bad in that sense.
Cool key changes. Ima sucker for natural sounds playing off real music. You gotta give it up for dog 2 and the seagull in this, because it perfectly selects the listeners experience. Lotta restraint too. Trippy in all the right ways. I really appreciate this in spite of the lack of narrative, and as a music person, I feel so jaded with pop culture? But lets be real, lets leave the narrative to the birds? Reminds me of that limelight before you lose consciousness... wake up.
Let this one be. Move on to what inspires you. I had tracks I beat into the dirt for years and I regret it. Speak your peace and keep playing what you want.
Hey, thanks for your listen and thoughtful comments. I think that's some good advice there at the end. Narrative is an interesting word, kind of implies some non random sequence of events else our brains wouldn't recognize it as such. But I'm not sure yet the whole shebang isn't some big joke being made up as it goes along.
Thanks so much for the listen and comment. It is a long track and I thought about cutting it right down but my thinking in the end was that ambient music in the true Eno-esque sense of the word needn't demand attention unless the listener wants to give it. But if they do then it should still stand up. Or something like that....
This is such a chill track! Definitely a lie on the floor and listen with headphones sorta deal for me, and glad I did too! Well done! Just want to say, I'm really enjoying the variety of sounds you're able to come up with! You're an inspiration!

Thanks. I think you can take it two ways, light and ezi ozi or with more a sense of foreboding. I tend to the latter but each to his own. Ta for the comment, appreciated.
You can say wake up as long as you want there is nothing gonna happen, the storm comes if we want or not. Brilliant. The "nice" atmosphere with these words can be something nice. Hot sunday, the girlfriend is burning in the sun. The boyfriend is creaming her body with sun creme. She sleeps, he can see the dark clouds and says wake up. But I think this wasn't your goal, only when there lay a few bodys around them, decayed. I loved the bee. What did the people say, is it worth to know?
Ha yeah I think it is slightly ambivalent as to mood but yeah, I lean towards the calm before the storm. I like the fly too I wonder if anyone noticed the blowing across the bottle sound lol. As for the low voice, can't remember what they are saying but I do know I stuck that in but forgot to match it to the project tempo which is why it is
obscure and weird sounding. I often find my mistakes are best!
this is like a soundtrack for a sequel to ‘on the beach’ after the radiation envelopes all the continents. very nicely shaped, the ghostliness is quite absorbing. great noise/art/dub. cheers, mate!
Thanks man. This was built on top of a purely soundscape thing that was the first thing I put up here on LM and basically me trying to work out how this daw thing worked. Still don't know much about that but slowly trying to get better.
Description : Headphones are recommended for a more immersive experience :P - - - A weary American soldier is walking through the remains of what used to be a small town in the middle east, only to rediscover the horrible reality that sometimes war can affect even the ones who have no part in it.

This is my first attempt at creating a virtual environment to tell a story and convey emotion. Hope you enjoy! Comments are welcome!
Description : the other end of the scale from me, yep people, this is a ballad. its for all the people who have lost somebody long before their time was due,
i used my experience of tragic loss and how i hid my mental health issues that stemmed from it while writing it, its repetitive but has fresh verses
its to Matthias music Du Bist Nicht Mehr Hier almost the same title, He has suffered too that's why he wrote the music and dedicated it to his brother. i hope i have done it justice
Description : This track contains several loops, all of them are from looperman artists - listed below. I don't know if "ambient" fits well for it, but i get most loops from that category. :)
Inspired by the Final Fantasy series and my ex girlfriend. Hope you will enjoy it (not my ex! :D). As always, free to use for a song, any opinions-critics welcomed... UPDATE 2015.10.24.: improved audio quality - lower lows, higher highs. Now in 256kbps!
Description : Working with DarkKZ by Beatskillz, Synthmaster 2.9, Waves Bass Fingers, Microtonic drum synth, Izotope nectar 3 elements, Ozone 8 Elements & several other plugings I'm trying for the first time. The vocal samples are from Ghosthack, LANDR & Sampleswap. Hope you like it. Cheers.
Post script: The word "Ambient" has come up several times in the comment section for this, so I switched the genre to that. Thanks for the input. I really appreciate it.
Description : Ambient, psychedelic chill out rock or something or rather. Lyrics, vocals, guitars and keyboards myself. One drum loop used (free Loopmasters ambient pack). If you want a bit of a back story on the words check the lyric page.
Description : I made this with Garageband and was inspired by Anime music, such as Naruto. And if you noticed one little part is very similar to one of the melodies.
Description : Depression and sadness can sometimes serve as motivation for creativity as in the case of this track. A few months back I went through a period of loosing a few friends and co-workers. Attended a few funerals and as a result found myself reflecting on life. One night I had the urge to try to transfer my feelings into music and this is what came out. Some baratone guitar accompanied by synth and accapella.
Final EDIT: Further tweaking on levels and a slight change up in the timimg of the choir section.
Description : Hello,
this is a track between composition and cover.
Amandine (Sova Berry or Dine on soundcloud) made a cover of the a cappella "Song of Sophia" by Dead Can Dance.
I liked it very much, so i decided to make an instrumental with her vocals.
Hope you'll like it and if you want to comment, you are welcome, whatever you think.
Bye

I could here you go a little more reggae with this, it sorta has that feel. Maybe a splash of that, maybe some more spoken word.
Cool man, neat track, great soundscape!
