Hi Jammyt ... something has to come up when I reply so here it is. This tune has run between number one and number eight since I posted it all thjat time ago and it's now climbing back up again! Number five I think right now. I seem to have fans in Japan for some reason. Hope you're well and lifes treating you good ... same to all looperdoopers.
Thankyou for your kind remarks. Been up since summer this one biut I aiont been around for a while so if I post a comment on someone elses stuff up pops this one .... again.
Do I mind .... nah I'll get over it .... hey I'm over it already!
Thank you for listening anmd taking the time.
Cool track. Really loving the fading vox. The switchup around 1:38 is pretty neat as well. Cool little pan sweep with the percussion. You really pay attention to all the little details in the mix. Speaking of which, all the instruments fit well with each other. Nothing is really drowning anything else out too much.
Great work on this one
I have been away a while and popped in saw billydragon made a comment so this track has popped back up.
I'm hoping to be back regular again and thankyou all for your comments.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this...the build up of tension is awesome...starts off light and breezy then....feels like she is being chased....evading someone...something....brilliant.
Silve this is one cute track bro !
I totally dig the saw wave bass lines. Lots of production in here man. You definitely put some effort into this and it paid off. Awesome progressions and transitions throughout and very skillful editing, especially at fading the motorcycle sound effect in and out to keep it from becoming to monotonous. You rocked the (Progressive) House on this one my man. This will most assuredly be a fan fave at the dance clubs and pool parties this summer !!!
Thankyou for your kind remarks Neo.
It was head banging fun making it.
You know how you have to listen over and over and over .... foot stomping etc ... thanks fr commenting.
:) it has a little bit of this feeling from "OUT RUN" the game from sega. And i mean that realy not bad. I loved that game ........ you only forgot to insert this -check point- sample :)
what a track silverman
has got good vibes, kind of summer chill-out EDM
yes even i can visualize (faintly) the free spirited rider
thanks for the listen
TJ
Haha thanks mate for that.
I tell you what I am going to make nice track for the girl on bike I hope you like it.
If I finish it tonight, I will upload it.
Thanks
She's very glamorous and her last words to me as she set off were ... I'm going looking for a good man ... I hope to find one who can make music and make love whilst flying a plane and staying calm amidst turbulent times so I pointed her in your direction .... so next time you hear the squeal of breaks .......
What a sexy song this is..:) Extra vibe for this extra song. Nice changes in mood were mentioned before by fellow loopers
and rightly so. Those squeaking brakes in the end could lead to a sequel titled "Girl In A Hospital"..haha...that would be
also very special musical challenge...:) Well done matey!
Thanks for your comment.
Progressive house you say?
I have no idea honestly what that means.
I see these genres and labels on here of course but they never make a lot of sense to me.
I'll believe you know what your talking about there.
It's an age thing.
It's only rock n roll but I like it.
So glad you enjoyed the ride.
I'm in cans too but I've been out and listened on the car stereo and it didn't work!
Crap stereo though with very little range.
Thanks for listening and taking time out.
I can really see the girl on the motorcycle driving by :p. Nice production. Like how you continiously change the song. Not only with the synths but with the beat as well.
I've got this thing about creating minds eye stories if possible and am glad you can see her.
I see she's wearing no helmet long blonde hair flowing in the wind sunny day she's dressed lightly and smiling and enjoying the ride.Of late I've done a track with a heatbeat running through the entire thing to create tension in another I've got a clock ticking away to the rythm to .... create tension ... now a motorbike to create a sense of freedom.
Can you sense I'm really enjoying myself with this stuff.
But .... I'm going to have to have a go at laid back ... chilling feet up alls well.
Thankyou for your comment.
That's a big-ass saw wave you got there, man. I love the transition into that detuned bassline. It completely changed the mood into an almost darker, and more chaotic feel. I wonder, did she cut someone off just before that? lol.
One thing I've noticed in your work, is it's generally very tense in a time sensitive sort of way. For example if it were a story about a character, that character would always be in a hurry for some reason or other.
Either way. I really like what you've done with this. It's a good listen from beginning to end.
Thank you so much Valve.
You've got me thinking now about all the stressed out people I've up ... I've gotta go see if I've created any chilled out ones back there ......
Special atmosphere and the attitude you reach for music is so extra (for me)...
That female vocal snippet is ultra good and the speed of the number, too...
Feel the tempo...
Thank you for your kind words Danke.
It was fun to do but should have been a bit longer.
A slow beginning building up but I had to keep chopping it up to get it to the acceptable upload level.
How o earth I've been getting eight minute ones up I know not!
I`m just jumping on behind her and figuring out where I should hold on...haha....really like that section that kicks in somewhere around 2:30...nice prog....way to go silverman...a fine ride much enjoy...Ed
I had great fun making this one but I'm discovering the more engineering goes in the shorter the piece has to be.
This was around two minutes longer with a very slow and soft beginning that warmed up revved up and then accelerated into what you hear now.
I'm surprised seeing as some of my stuff is around eight minutes long ... not any more it would seem.
Half three in the morning here and I'm wide awake!
Description : Feel free to check out the video on YT as well (Alan McLaren Project - Upside Down) of this 6min journey from electronic to rock with some psychedelic moments...
This is my latest, but also one of my earliest tracks.... any feedback is more than welcome, thanks :)
Description : 'The main point of this song is really about the frustrations of living in the overload of today's World of Tech. The consequences are impaired communication and that if you advance too far you end up diminishing what you had to start with, so you are way worse off.' Enjoy a 60s Rhythm with a modern deep Bass, a Sitar, a Piano from EvilPianist, a lost flute from UniverseHuston and some Oscillators :-)

Description : A demo of one of my current projects. The chorus vocal sounds like "Aaaaraashe" to me. The song is in C# minor with a nod to C# pythagorean on the chorus. The beat on the verse was inspired by the Peter Gabriel song Intruder.
Description : This is one of my earliest productions that I did at the start of my recording career. I did not have a keyboard at the time I made this song, so I improvised and used my sister's iPad and a 5 dollar GarageBand application instead, and plugged the headset jack into into my PT6 rig and did my best to turn each individual track (which were mono and there were about 25 tracks or so) into a stereo image. Then recorded vocals over it. My computer was so old and slow that I had to mix my music and then BOUNCE it to a new session - four times. My computer (which had 512 MB RAM and an 80 GB hard drive) couldn't handle more than 8 tracks at a time or it'd stop working because the processor couldn't handle it. Took me FOREVER to do. But I got it done. Had a lot of fun doing it too, even if it isn't my "best" work. I'm still happy with it, considering I didn't have many tools to choose from at the time.
Description : Long time lurker first time poster, pretty new to production n stuff, this is my first track in Ableton Live.
was going for a darkwave/synthwave sound, reminiscent of Justice, Carpenter Brut, Perturbator, ect.
Looking for some feed back, constructive criticisms or even just your thoughts if you liked it or not. This is just a rough cut on this current WIP, just the bones of it if you will.. If you have some cool title suggestions, would love to hear those too.
Thanks for listening.
