Nice golden oldie. You have a lot of magic in your musical treasure chest :-). Nice flow and very basic synths. In this track the small accents make the track(like the triangle for instance). Definetly enjoyed the listen!

Hey, sorry I missed this one when you posted it, must have been during one of my blackouts! hehe Sounds like a piece from a Stanley Kubrick film, especially the first half.

I've never been to the desert and have always wanted to go. I get an ocean sunrise every day so I imagined that instead. The second half had sort of an Asian feel with the plucked instruments. I did get the feeling of discovery, a new day dawning even though there seemed to be some darker moments or tension in there as well.

Cool piece Orlando, it's open to many interpretation and it seems to be a hit as well!

Many thanks for this positive feedback! I'm on a very tight schedules lately so my new material will have to wait for a while to be uploaded, so I decided to give some more exposure to some oldies in the meantime and so I picked this one for no particularly good reason apart from the fact that it wasn't played too extensively before..:) Also thanks alot for faving it !:)

a super track...

for me that intro at 2 mins is a bit long ....

over all the track is awesome... maybe a bit more in the way of cinematic rather than ambient... totally reminded me of the red cliff soundtrack..

Yeah, you're right...I always tend to exagerate a bit with those intros, but someone has to be the "intro guy" on Looperman, HaHa,...I can reveal you a little secret that one of my upcoming tracks will have even longer intro, yet I hope there will be no suicides..^^

It is wonderful to stumble upon this wonderful song, especially since I live in the Mojave Desert and am now watching the sun rise in the east. You absolutely captured the magnificent essence of that moment when the sun tops the mountains. While the desert can be a hostile place, it also has its beauty. Spectacular use of pads my friend, mix is so tastefully done. Sometimes less is more, and this track illustrates that quite well. Definitely added to favorites and downloaded to have it to accompany tomorrow's sunrise. Thanks for that.

Holy Jupiter, Bear...I remember from past comments that some desert was mentioned in connection with you, but I wasn't paying attention, so I had no idea till now, and..:) this was kind of a surprise..:)So in some way I composed a piece for you without knowing it...haha...it will now have much better
place in it's creator's opus..:)

DN-1 synthesizer which is a part of "Vita instruments" family.

absolutely lovce that big rich intro pad Orlando.....nice change-up at 2:12 as the theme continues....the deep bass around 3:07 is great....very cinematic...pictures for the mind.....sunrise once a day...so there is no limit to how many of these you could do my friend...haha.we should play to every sunrise.......another great listen & fav........Ed

Whoaaa...Ed, what a nice surprise!:) You came out of nowhere,
like a ghost, when least expected... It's nice to know you can still find some time to make a peek or two on what's going on with Looperman..:)
I uploaded this one already in May but it was there very shortly under "featured", so I decided recently to give it some more exposure and it seems it's getting some nice recognition. I'm particulary happy that you liked it and ofcourse thanks alot for the 'fav' and continuous support..means alot to me...
Still working on some of your material as much as time permits...will let you know...

However I do expect anyone to check out the links cause they are simply presenting my contemporary references and subjective perceptions for sure pointing to what I experienced in the past as a listener. Anyway they may be useful for some individuals in the process of developing their own sound - it's really hard to find some better possible musical references on this song. Good luck. Alex

hi Orlando. I love the first part - excellent atmosphere. This is definitely a kind of ambient I like: slow interfusing pads of great depth. Something Steve Roach-style: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSaryH9rOoI

From 2:11 mark the piece sounds like some relaxation-meditative tune. The midi guitar reminds me of some ancient Greek music, maybe a harp or some instrument with pythagorean tuning: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1z0zaGDzlQ

Again a impressive piece from you, ambient sound at its finest, right from the very start, this track takes you on a journey, very sweet pad right from the start, then when piano starts, takes you off on another chapter of the journey, don't really know what else to put here matey, except BIG TIME FAV...So love this track mate, extremely rare I download a track, but this is a must download...Peace n MUCH Respect...Mosaic...

This is very pleasant to hear! I really like the seond half especially. The plucked guitarish sounds are very cool, is that samples or synths or what? The subtle piano accents really add depth too. I don't usually go out of my way to listen to ambient anymore, but I wanted to hear your latest, and I'm glad I did! A very good artistic effort!

Well..actualy it's not my latest (chek the featured page to catch my latest)...you asked about guitarish sound...no samples of any kind were used here. I've made that particular sound with DN-1 synth.

beautiful scriptures, notes an innovative instrument.

has some extremely interesting variations over the course of the composition. I liked these variations, it always comes as a surprise in music.

I remember of his last compositions, something that has the same sense of "journey"

Yes, that central pad was a tricky one to make. I've build it very carefully combining numerous different pads before I came up with the final version and I think it turned out quite
nicely...thank you so much for recognizing some quality in it!

This is surprisingly good. The native Americans would agree with me! When I heard your track Orlando, I think of UFO's straight away, so I came up with an alternative title in case you need to redo/remix it - "The Secrets of Area 51."
