Top notch track here, has a very chill like groove. I'll have to try making some electro one day, I have never attempted it. But yea wow, good grooves and love the sounds and overall instrumentation. Guitar blends well with the synths, should of been a little longer! Very nice. peace
Thought i'd home in on some "electro" and i got a surprise.
This is retro electro, these days the term electro has been hijacked by another kind of dance music, as has hardcore and a whole bunch of others. Anyway enough with the nostalgic nonsense and on to the track.
love the combination of real and synthetic instruments, i keep meaning to do that myself but never get round to buying the gear to do it. If i hear enough tracks like this it might spur me on to do so.
This was a really fun to listen to track Larry/Mark and i will definitely be back for more.

Totally agree with your opening comments! thanks for listening and liking, your comments are much appreciated too. The whole track was created using eJay Dance 6, which cost around £25, a great buy! however sometimes final mastering can be a bit difficult!. Once again a big thanks.
Thought I'd come back and listen again. This really does remind me of New Order, who I still love dearly and have for atleast 25 years. It's very good for a loop based composition, I know how challenging that can be! I'm going to DL this and play it on loopradio tomorrow. Faved this time! Thanks for the DL!
Thanks for the answer. So, it's completely composed of loops. That's obviously less impressive than if you'd played and programmed and sonically sculpted it all.
Nevertheless, its an enjoyable piece. Do you only do loop assembly tracks? Any other instrument playing or synth programming?
Initally I started with loop arrangements and remixes, though I take a lot of time and effort with all my tracks produced this way, but I am now programming and producing my own sounds but at this early stage I still have a lot of work to do. Always happy to receive and accept advice and assistance. A big thanks for your time and interest.
Take care,
Mark/Larry
Lotta love for this one so I'll just add a bit more.
Though, first of all, let's kick off with a complaint:
I have no idea how you made this at all. There's no mention in your description and no mention of anything regarding production in 20 or so replies. I try to give lots of detail in replies (even when it's not asked for, which it generally isn't) in case anyone who comes along later is interested.
You can probably tell I'm wondering how this was put together, what you're playing (if anything) and so on.
But this is cool stuff and all sits very nicely and is pretty busy for 3.5 mins.
1:37 it really takes off and I like the drops before that. Classic groove there. Reminds me a little of Way Out West - wonderful electronic group (check out a track called The Gift). Or perhaps some Banco De Gaia stuff. He likes those sorts of beats.
Though I go in for mega long tracks, I actually like this length - feels right. Busy but always interesting.
Great collection of instruments. I guess that guitar is programmed rather than played. Big pads are fairly lush too.
One suggestion is that around, say, 1 min, you bring a good hat in as I think I'm waiting a bit for the beat to really pick up. It's great when it does but I would have preferred to have got to it just a little sooner.
A really big thank you for your very constructive comments. To clarify, the track was made entirely from loops on Ejay Dance 6,with some slight massaging from me! thanks for picking up on the hat, absolutely right and I should have gone with my instinct, but I have been accused in the past of putting toO much into a track too quickly!. I am pleased you like and enjoyed it and again thank you for your helpful comments.
Best wishes,
Mark/Larry!
Very much agreed Steve, I have so many unfinished tracks on Magix that I need to get working on, as well as some completed I will be posting for some critical comments!
Best wishes,
Mark/Larry!
Love it, love this vibe you have going Larry.
Yes I have used Dance 6 a lot in my compositions and this year have moved into Magix 18.
But the samples and synths brings back many memories of my early days of composing.
Hi Billy, thanks for your comments and your time. I have done a lot of work with Magix 2013 Premium and now 2014,and think it is one of the best around, but still enjoy the sounds I can get from Dance 6 (though finished production is more difficult). Will upload some of my Magix work for some constructive comment. Thanks again.
Best wishes,
Mark/Larry!
I think i will put this more in my EDM folder than Electro, but thats just my personal opinion,as i know we dont have a Electronic Dance Music genre choice.!
The main thing is that this is a very nice enjoyable Track.!
Even though there are different elements going on,it all works real well, and i found it just moves along quite nicely
Im from the old school day so love this type of feel.!
I like the feel of this song very much! It's got momentum, but there are contrasts with that too, so it's deep! The guitar parts are very well created! I'm enjoying the mix as well too, well balanced! My only recommendation is that you normalize the track before turning it into an mp3, maybe not 0 dB, but like -0.5 or something, that way it won't clip when you turn it into an mp3. This would use your headroom more thoroughly, thus competing with other tracks in a more powerful manner. I really like the song though, so keep it up!
Great comments and glad you like it and I am really grateful for your advice on normalising...I will try this in future, many thanks again for your time.
Best wishes,
Mark/Larry
Great combination of instruments and its melodies.Very 80s at times but thats a good thing in my book.
I like the arrangement of the song as its well put together.
Many thanks for taking time to comment and I was trying to achieve an 80's feel at times..without being to obvious!!but really pleased you liked it.
best wishes,
Mark/Larry!
am loving the intro.... then it starts popping.... its a very nice arrangement, and the changes keep flowing nicely.. love the guitar sound around 2:40 ... very good instrumental, nice job!
considered combination of elements has made a rich instumental
texture for this ...it sounds refresher & tha't because usage of different sound colors in a methodic manner as materials of this nice tune package. very welldone, greatest respects.___Behnam
Good song man I like it a lot, Love the guitar part of the intro. I just wanted to ask you if you get the synth that start when the drum begins from mix superstar?
Larry I must admit you're unbeatable master when it comes to putting things together. If there was Eiffel tower in your song, nobody would notice.:)
Hat's off again and again...
Orlando many thanks again for you kind comments and I really appreciate you taking time to listen and critique, be it good or bad, I am really pleased you liked it!
Take care,
Mark/Larry!
This worked out really great actually, like it very much. Starting with the lovely guitar and then adding in other sounds as it goes on. Nice use of percussion with the beat. Great job, keep going like that
great to receive your feedback again, and I am really pleased you liked it. Will certainly endeavour to continue and comments like this certainly help.
thanks again.
Mark/Larry!
now this is creative thinking Larry,,,,starts out with a kind of medevil vibe & then swings into some chilled electro when the bass & synth kick in...nice uptempo move around 3:24...Has a nice uplifting vibe overall Larry....left me with a smile...thanks ...we could all use more of that...a big well done to you....Ed
This is super chillin too...that guitarish tone is awesome and all of the synth vsts produce a high tech sound...groovy but calm...fabulous harmonies...

Description : Basically, this track was made back in the day when I was a HUGE Electro House (Especially, Big Room) fan. I was inspired by the track LRAD by Knife Party but I ended up with this piece of poopie. I'm not even trying to produce EDM anymore but I just wanted to share this since I spent a lot of time on this. Positive/Negative comments are all welcome! Thanks!

Description : A new Electro house track under my new alias "Shawdy Scotty" this is gonna be on my demo, and i think the master sounds great. But thats subjective. What do you think?
Description : Well i choose "Electro" as "genre" but it's definitly a SALSA/RUMBA track. If some can put some words, you're welcome, contact me let's do something nice...
Description : THIS was one of my first tracks i made for the looper fam. I was not sure whatkind of genre it realy is, so i named it electro.
I used only samples i found on looperman. I did a vocal line by myself and mixed all in a way i liked it. Hope that you also like what i had done.
Just tell me what you think.
Loops i used in this song:
From Anubis.
