Description : I'm not an expert on gospel music, but this track reminded me of the Blues Brother's movie where Belushi was in the church. It's very energetic with lots of things going on and of course, lots of drums! Jazz fans will also like this track. Give it a listen and PRAISE THE LORD!

Superb!
The stop sections starting around 1:45 it's my favorite spot.
Great bass (the sound is a bit too "even", almost midi but I totally love the licks), super piano.
What to say on the drums: they drive a lot! And we have also some "short solo" moments to show us who the boss is ;-)
Outstanding! You are a real professional drummer and a complete musician. Hats off
Thanks again for sharing your music with us.
Ciao, Domenico
PS: hard to believe, coming from a guy who always mixes the bass too high, but the "bass-phrase" at 4:10 is a bit too loud (and a bit too "midi-sh"); only that segment.
Thanks for your kind words. This one was fun and it lent itself to lots-o-drums, which you know I like! On the bass volume at 4:10, I purposely boosted the level because it was a bass solo. If you notice, I did the same with the other sections with solos.
Great description of the track, I totally agree. I feel like I just went to Vegas and saw a cabaret show. Damn this is pretty creative and so much fun to listen to. Great job on the mix, lots going on and everything sounds nice and clear. Excellent job Scott!
Thanks allot, Wayne. Glad you like it and took the time to comment. Also, thanks for letting me know your opinion on the sound quality. We can't always know how it sounds on your system till you let us know.
Scott excuse me for this qustion , buT how should I recognize gospel music ( good to know so these are called gospel..thnX ) from these southern sound ?
Please don't recognize this as gospel music. I don't want to give you the wrong impression. It is more a musical style, rather than a sacred music form. it is in no way intended as music to worship God!
hey Scott . glad to find a new brilianT of yours @ 2014 .
man , what was this ! my hypothetical god ! how many hours U have thaught to design such a complicated notation ! I was convinced that I have no musical tallent when it finished!
my fav traX between all traX I've heared from U & my fav between all fav @ 2014 . superb . by the way happy new year .& as usual best wishes.___Behnam
I'm not quite sure how to answer your question, since our worlds are so different. I don't really want to get into our individual theologies, since I'm sure we cannot agree, but I'm sure we both believe in God. In our country, gospel takes on many styles. In this track I wasn't actually trying to present an actual 'gospel' but more of a style of music that is reminiscent in a gospel sound. It's very hard to explain, but the southern Baptist and the African American churches have an up-beat style of gospel music.
If any member can help me out here, please do, since I am lost!
It may not get you into heaven Scott...but if it doesn`t none of us are going there....great big hand-clapping fun...I can see the scene in my mind listening to this...and enjoying myself big time....halelujah.....oh yeah.....Ed
LOL...I agree, Ed. I had fun with this one. It lent itself to lot-o-drums, which, by now, you probably know I love! I may even try another of this style in the future.

Respect for this great musical moment.
Bass line and tone is fantastic, as well as the guitars. This is like Prog Gospel. Drums are very Portnoy. Snare sound is a bit muffled sounding. If Liquid Tension Experiment did a gospel it would be close to this. Love the ending. Very nice.
Hey, thanks allot, Evan. That's a good description for it, Prog Gospel! Thanks for the Mike Portnoy reference. Quite high praise. He's one of the greatest. Yeah, the snare could be stronger, but it was already peaking at this level, so didn't want to push it to overdrive.
Work of a real musician - the details are so crazy. Real uplifting funny bluesbrother - good job, not my music, but makes me smile (and i dont smile that often if u watch my avatar, hehe). That transition around 3:20 is great built up. And the mix is real outstanding!
Glad I could bring a smile to you. Actually, it's not really my style either. I'm more of a jazz and funk guy, but my training in music is quite genre extensive, that sometimes earlier training just kinda makes it's way into something I'm working on, so I just go for it.
Feelgood song with that pro bass line from the first row...Man, it is smiling and smiling and smiling...so happy and of course dangerously super technically...hahh...no words, I'm looking for but don't find the proper one...outstanding...thanx for the upload Scott, Danke
So glad you like it and took time to comment. I appreciate you mentioning the mix. Allot of times it will sound very different on others system, so it's good to know the mix is good.
I agree with static it has that blues brothers sound to it all day lol. I haven't herd a lot of tracks like this on looperman always nice to switch things up and listen to some new stuff. very good job.
Well this is a crazy bit of gospel-jazz Blues Brothers madness that would go nicely in that film. Extremely energetic and good for some silly dancing and for soundtracking some farce scenes.
They're mostly not my kind of sounds but I totally appreciate all the work that's gone into it. Also, very impressive for one guy doing it all(just you, right?) as it has a lot of very natural, unsequenced feel.
Actually, this is so damn energetic that it's probably too long (haha, that's coming from a guy who makes 18 minute tracks) so this is definitely one to completely tire people out on the dancefloor.
When are you going to do some more spaghetti Western?
Thanks, SN. I appreciate your listen and comment. I did use some loops with this one, so not all me. To be honest, when I do a track I don't usually have a particular genre in mind. I'll get about half of it done, than it begins to take direction of where it's going. Than when I determine what it's sounding like, I further that direction. This one started sounding like a gospel holy roller type sound, so I said, 'who am I to argue' than took it there! Even when I work with Franco, Ferryterry, I'll hear something he didn't and take it the way I hear it, and it usually works out to both our liking...but I digress.
If fate takes me towards another spaghetti western track, I'll do another...Who knows.
Cheers,
Scott

Description : Every instrument is performed and recorder live. Piano, double bass, drums.
Instruments Used:
-"WELTMEISTER" upright piano (MADE IN GERMANY in 1938)
-"KAY" upright bass (MADE IN GERMANY somwhere in 1950th)
-TAMA Imperial Star + Pearl OMAR HAKIM snare + Various Ziljian cymbals.
I just put together some old ideas to see if it will work. Some vocals and brass, or guitars is clearly needed. Let me know what you think about it. Tnx
Description : Do not freak out just because this is jazz! There's also blues, rock, funk and a little hip hop in it to break up the deep, chillout jazz sections - gets particularly rocking then funky at the end. Main bassline (the track's foundation) is recycled leftover slide resonator guitar parts detuned one octave to make a slide bass sound. Also features: piano, violin, hammered dulcimer, organ, ethereal pad guitar, bass guitar, jazz/blues/rock electric guitar and multiple programmed acoustic drumkits. This was difficult to make at times as I thought I needed more leads parts eg from sax or trumpet. But I'm happyish with the end result. I expect very little interest in this as it's both jazz and long jazz. But it's also an unusual type of genre-mixing jazz. So, leave your thoughts, good or bad, if you like...
Description : I think it's a late evening song to accompany you for a single drink.
Jazzy in most of the aspects. It is made single handedly so please consider it an experimentation for the thrill of making music.
Hope you will like it.
Description : This track made me just stop working on it and listen to it for enjoyment.
Smooth Mellow funky Jazz. Uses: 0111003-djrumplestiltskin-swung-funk-drum-beat, 0087009-mrroads442-guitar-line, 0072485-michiel555-mellow-funk, 0058934-ferryterry-90-bpm-soprano-sax. Is this Funk or Jazz?
Description : This track contains only free loops from Stayonbeat.com and several loops from Looperman artists (listed below). I "made a promise" that my next track will be use a lot of jazzy loops - well, i done with this track, for the great sadness of jazz lovers or experts i think - i fear they will never forgive me. :) While my ISP launches my internet out of the Earth system for a long time, i had to face the fact that i dont have too much downloaded jazz loops on my computer, so i think no wonder that this one is sounds like if i smoke some marihuana while making it. But hey, who cares, i like the result - it reminds me the (maybe only) really funny episode of "Breaking Bad", where Pinkman uses some heroin and flyes up with an idiotic smile on his face - that chapter is priceless. :D
I dont think this one needs a vocal, but ofcourse you can use it if you want, and as always, just write and i will give any support as i can. Any feedback welcomed too as always. Enjoy! UPDATE 2015.10.24.: improved audio quality - lower lows, higher highs. Now in 256kbps!

Description : Something a bit different from us. I (Bobo) played guitar, synth, midi bass and percs to this piano loop by LM's most excellent Rasputin. Wataya, stoned as usual, thought he heard Barbara Streisand singing. This is the result.
Description : I created a hip hop groove in Logic and decided to duel some Saxophones. I am playing the Baritone sax on the left pan and the Tenor Sax on the right pan.
I added some bells like a boxing match bell to give it a fight drama feel. The hip hop track itself is dope to me. The duel is cool too. Who won?
