If you have time take a listen and give topvega some feedback.
Smooth mellow production. Loving the groove here, has a out of space feeling with the light strings/pad in the background. Jamming so far man, great work. peace
God,...I love your rock style ! I hardly describe it with words, but there's always something basic and primal, yet very sublime and dignifying in your sound and this one is no exception!
Thanks a lot Domenico, I appreciate the support. I wish I could sing better, just not there yet. Probably won't ever be able to sing well enough. Maybe someone will get an idea and drop some vocals.
Thanks bro, I appreciate you giving it a listen and being kind enough to comment with some feedback. I am especially encouraged by your kind words on the mix, I have been working hard on trying to improve my mixing and mastering skills. Been playing guitar for a while but the whole DAW and mixing is new to me still.
Doctorcatface, I love the name bro. :) I also love and appreciate the support. I can't take any credit for the drums as they are a sample. All I did was run some effects and EQ them to where I wanted them. Guitar, bass and keyboard was all me so I thank you for the kind words in those regards. I believe a good track regardless of genre should be one that pulls the listener in and engages them. One thing to say it, whole different thing to pull it off though. :) Thanks again bro.
Oh yes , "stoner vibration" , the perfect phrase!happening sound, nice mix, love the layered slightly conflicting guitar riffs working off each other!(I know ..sounds a bit OTT, but thats what I hear)!Where DO you get your drum patterns from? and If someone wanted to add a few vocals to this, where should it go after? bob.
Appreciate the support bob...always nice to get some feedback. I spend a lot of time trying to get a slightly conflicting feel going without going overboard. Always looking for that perfect tone...I feel it really sets the mood of a track. As for drum patterns and samples, I search the web and download quite a few drum sample packs off bit-torrent sites like Kick Ass Torrents. This particular drum sample is my all time favorite, which is obvious to anyone who has listened to my last 15 tracks or so. :) I think I have used this sample more than half the time. Most times for me the drum sample is where I start and I just tweak the sound of it till I am happy and then grab my guitar or bass depending on my mood and see what it generates. As for vocals, I have an open door policy. If anyone wants to add vocals or guitar or anything just hit me up on my email and I will send you the stems. I don't have the masters of my older tracks but anything I have done this year I have. I can download the stems in whatever format you like to work with. Toppervega@aol.com or TopVega@gmail.com both work for me. Thanks again for the support.
Kenny thanks man, I appreciate the support. Just starting to get my feet back under me now. I have a couple hiccups I need to iron out and a little more texture to add here and there. Very kind of you to give it a listen and leave a comment.
Well let me give John Garcia a call and see if he is not busy. :) I dig Kyuss and of course Queens of the Stone Age. Will see what I can do about getting some vocals on here. I am a big fan of Stoner Rock. I appreciate the kind words my friend, and also thank you for giving it a listen and leaving a comment.

Description : This is my newest creation, at a stage very near to completion. No third-party mastering or mixing, as with all my tracks. Just have to fix a few tiny things. I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO MIX EVERYTHING IN THE SAME SESSION. This song has all human-played instruments - no quantization or MIDI! My brother does all the vocals except for the interlude part, which I do. My other brother plays the rhythm guitar (a Gibson Les Paul Custom - only one of 12 in the world!!) and I play the accompanying guitar (a Johnny Mar Jag and PRS). He has a lot of guitars :P A good friend of ours, Ronnie, plays the bass and another friend, Freddie, plays the drums. The drum track was done in one take (had to use an electric drum set due to time constraints - but acoustic kits are so much better). Overall, pretty satisfied with the result. Let me know your thoughts.
Description : Feel free to check out the lyrics video on YT as well :) This is a new track based on the great vocals by Ashes and Dreams! Again, a mix of electronic/progressive/rock, any feedback is welcome
Description : The first track I sing on. Cheap stage mic & no fancy plugins. Heavily guitar laden to the point it's got a bit of a shoegaze thing going on. I pulled the lyrics out of my ass & yes, they're a bit silly.
Description : This song was not supposed to be the fourth track of "Diverse waves", but it finally is. Anyway it's a rock oriented track with some interesting sounds. I hope you like it. Worked in zenbeats DAW, by Roland.
Description : BIG UPDATE 26/02/2014 - So, this was an 18 min track that I have now successfully split in two. 2nd half I uploaded a few weeks ago (Things That Should Always Be, with the bouncy 2 min reggae intro). This is the first half, which has a new mix, a mega chill, meditative ending and a little jazz thrown in for good measure. Takes a few minutes for beat to really kick in. Constantly evolving electric guitar, bass guitar, acoustic drums and lead banjo driven by fat, busy 80BPM grooves with a bit of a reggae and shuffle feel. Also: synth choir voices, dulcimer, violin, cello, shimmering pads. Builds up gradually to nice and rocking and then gets taken back down for the big comedown chill. I really don't know what sort of genre this is except 'far out'. I think it sounds more like a live band than one guy playing instruments and manipulating a DAW. Not my best track but a bit of blissful, sunny island fun. Real positive vibe here so I hope you give it a chance to unfold and unfurl. Sit back, clear your schedule and immerse yourself in these trippy sonic experiments cooked up deep in my off-planet underground laboratory. I have to send the MP3 to Earth via space courier (not cheap).
Description : This track was like the inhale after an exhale of aggressive industrial-electro-sludge tracks that I had put out that summer and fall. This was the more reserved, and introspective winter track. It's nothing spectacular, but I still really enjoy it. I hope you do too. Take care. V.
Description : when i was a kid you could go down and buy acid drops at the dairy - sour boiled sweets....vox, guitars and keys by me. Bass a LM loop by megapaul.
