Description : We all experience heartbreak in this life. As I look back, I now realize that some of my deepest artistic creations are a direct result of things not working out as I had hoped. "Acoustic Ladyland" is the result of one of those moments. Composed for the girl of my dreams. I now know I can live without her. Though I believe I could never live without music sweet music.

There's nothing that can be quite so sweet and, when lost, as bitter as love. Its a great thing whan we can look back and just enjoy the memories of the good moments.

beautiful track, my friend, really like the feel of this one and your playing, as always, is impeccable.

JG,
Thank you for the kind words. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Spring is cause for much inspiration and since I do a lot of artist development, seems like everyone wants to record right now. Hope to spend some time on a few of my own projects once things settle down. Anyway, thank you very much. I am inspired and longing to get back in there and kick it once again.

Hello Voltage,

Thought I'd stop by and give a listen to this tune. I like acoustic guitar as I have a 'Mitchell' here I bought last fall.

I've used it in some of my country tunes, but not anywhere else. It is hard to keep up with all the different instruments I play.

Anyways, I am sorry you lost this girlfriend last year. There is usually a good reason and both parties have to agree on most things, or relationships don't work out. As for me, I am Legally Separated as of Oct. 2007, but I've had enough wives so I won't be looking around anymore. My music keeps me very occupied now and my rotating shift work job.

I like your playing here and arrangement. You did a very nice job here and I like it a lot.
Keep up playing and enjoy what time you can making more music.
I plan on adding more vocals to my tunes now that I have found someone in another state that can sing well and collab with that way. (Warrior777 on here)

Sad folky and classical all mixed into one. They say blues can only be blues when you know some kind of personal pain, but I think you have put something of you into this that goes beyond the music and style. A track well worth listening to.

Daniel,
Thanks again for taking the time to listen and making the effort to comment. The guitar holds so many voices, so many ways to express emotion, so many opportunities to create. Yes there is a certain sadness to this piece. Just as you embrace your guitar in your profile photo, my guitar embraced me in this song. Thanks again Daniel. Voltage

Back when I was just writting poetry. The only time I ever wrote was during times of depression and unhappiness. So I can relate. Great song. Beautifull guitar work. You are unbelievably talented.

My favorite part is your use of space. Not clouding this up with too much flamenco flair, but just accenting that yearning for this chick you are all about.

You can feel that.

It's like ... to me, does she hear you bro?? Why can't you just get it together with her? But when you do, you never really get to touch her, the memory just passes on thru... everytime. I am really pleased you caught one of these moments in this recording.

Yeah, it's music who's your chick lol..

Great, coveted and favorited.

Nothing is more serene or heart rendering than the bell like notes of a nylon string guitar.....I've also pondered this same dilemma...thanks be to music which essentially is a sharing medium and a lot easier to manage than the heart strings....beautiful work!...cheers planet

Description : There were two separate tracks in work, but who knows why I got tired with them and then decided to merge them (or at least what left from them) into one piece hence they originate out of same musical purpose. No worries...no world war was ment here, except my recent personal one...haha...and you don't want to know about it.:) It's not real etude by any means, yet it's quite alot about practicing...practicing...

Description : Again, another early production from like two years ago. I had a cheap little Yamaha acoustic guitar that I borrowed and mic'd and some congas that were given to me as a birthday present. I used my iPad GarageBand app to record the strings and the big bass drum thingy at the interlude and little electric guitar parts in there too haha. All the vocals were done by myself and my brother throws in some little things here and there with his voice :P Enjoy!
