Description : Sounds of the sea and trippy acidy washes with a cool beat and some live acoustic guitar. Written in Cubase with live guitar and keys etc. The sound of the sea and birds was recorded on the beach where I used to live. After moving to the city one sunny day I was telling stories to a friend about living by the sea and started making this track.

Description : May I introduce you to KayOS? She writes wonderful poems and is a long term friend of mine. I did find a way to lay her voice into a sheet of musical blankets like I did with Dime before. It took me not long to get into her zone and produced a Chill Out song that reminds me to the first Chill Out pioneer Michael Cretu.

Description : I used some new "Anthem" pickups from L.R. Baggs on my Martin acoustic to see how it performed, and it definitely beat my expectations. Captured the sound perfectly as I needed.
Anyhoo, this song is almost a prayer, hence the repetitiveness of the verses. As Christians, we believe that God will one day return and take away every suffering and all evil for good; in that regard, this song is almost one of waiting too. Very simple, with vocal harmonies and whatnot. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did making it. Made in 13 hours.
Someone else wrote the words, I was just inspired to use them. I only added the "Yeah" and "Amen."

Description : This is a track off of one of my EP's I dropped last year. It is based on True events. Sometimes when people finally take a second in life to slow down and breathe in..... The oxygen is deflated and it's too late. Take your time people, because time is what differs a good decision over a bad one. Life is precious!

Description : So a guy buys a nice guitar at a pawn shop but returns it a few days later after waking from a sound sleep to hear it playing by itself. When he tells of his experience he is shocked to learn the owner had actually died while playing it. Is it fantasy or truth? Is the guitar in this track that very same guitar? Its all part of the mystery and fun of Halloween !
EDIT: modified ending to a deeper voice

Description : This track describes a magical state that I experienced a long time ago. Maybe you also know the feeling that you can't describe something like this with words ... luckily we have the music for it!

Description : A progressive journey incorporating deep ambient chillout, swing jazz, hip hop, d'n'b, trance and a slight touch of acid with a thousand ninjas battling in space. Features a great deal of my lead slide resonator guitar playing. Also a whole load of synths, programmed acoustic drum kits and manipulated drum loops, big basslines, regular electric guitar, vocoded guitar parts and bass guitar (distorted right at the end). If you like deep chill, far out soaring beauty, fat beats and 170 BPM uplifting slide trance controlled mayhem, you might just get into this. In my heaven there is an endless supply of honey mangoes (an exquisite beauty of the fruit world) and even more slide guitar. A 1,000-year-long version of this track plays there on a loop (long enough not to get bored of it) but here I offer you the Earthly 11 min version. You must be very good to be accepted into my heaven to hear the full thousand year version so best start now. It may be heaven's main theme tune but it's not above criticism so feel free to let me know what you think of it. Maybe you prefer the soundtrack in hell. I hear it's pretty badass...

I am so sorry I am a little late with my follow ups so I am just now getting to your work. This is incredible! Your playing reminds me a little of Eric Johnson inclusive with your own style. This is Sooo sweet! 5 gold stars out of 5 gold stars. Fantastic!
I will definitely return later and check out some more of your work I have just been preoccupied lately. I am going to half to download this one. Cheers!
Bri
Fabulous work on the guitar and the percussive elements work so well with the tune. The strings really gave it a different vibe and once that percussion came it it was just the twist the track needed.
Very good effort! I love that guitar.
I never got to play these styles with such inspiration until joining this site and meeting so many talented people.
Thanks again!
Allen
Thanks again,
Allen.
I'm speechless. There is a lot of genius on this track, from Spell Jammer and his amazing production, to Bones and his flair for percussion and finally to you, the master of the fret board.
I'm standing and applauding this effort. Beautiful work. Thanks for the download and I hope you are well.
Bear
I'll tell you that Spell had it first, then bones added his percussion...both were uploaded on their pages first.
Spell was hoping that a vocalist would jump in but it wasn't happening so I thought it would be a fun Sunday afternoon to play around with the track.
The guitar track reminded me of how the quick, off the cuff leads can sometimes be the best,I didn't know if Spell wanted to upload it,he already had two versions.
You know that I'm A humble man and not the least bit boastful but...I'll tell you the story.
Spell was worried about the tracks being uploaded without consent so we discussed whether to allow downloads.I told him that "if they want it,they will get it anyway".
I was in a mood that day and used Audacity to record his "no upload" track, and within one hour I had the guitar track recorded...just as you hear it,mixed into his track.
I love SpellJammer and we are and will always be partners and brothers...so maybe my experiment was to prove a point, but I think A good track came from the effort..and I do appreciate Bones addition. It's great how different styles of music can collide into something that feels collaborated...and it is!
Thank you Bear,I appreciate your comments and the music you share.
Allen
This is quality. That guitar sounds almost synth like at times. Really well produced, Loads of soul behind this. It's like chocolate melting in your mouth.
i can't pick fault with this track at all.
Get in there!!
Oh,it's not one you missed,Bones had it up for a year,I just wanted in on the action:)
AV
SpellJammer was looking for a vocal that didn't happen right away so I came home from work, downloaded it on A Sunday I believe and did this in allmost one take, you can even hear me switch pickups to lead at the 1:43 mark.I decided I was going to play this all the way through to preserve the emotion I was feeling as I played.
Thanks for the review my friend.
Allen.
SpellJammer had it finished when I first heard the track and then Bones added his wonderful additions so I couldn't help but be moved at what they had done.
It is so important to me that you feel the emotions you mentioned cause'I felt them as I was playing my part to this track...I'm so pleased it worked so well.
Thank you for commenting,it's greatly appreciated!
Allen.
It does exactly what it says on the tin - I've been listening to fast paced music all day and now I'm completely chillaxed. Your playing is fantastic. I also like the little stabs that come in about a 3rd of the way through the track. Drums/percussion = awesome.. love the strings. Great collab guys :)
Thanks for the download!!
WongKi
SpellJammer had this uploaded as A track, then Bones added his percussion.
We have two versions...one without Bones but I love his additions so much I wanted to share this one myself.
All I added was the guitar lead and it was so easy because of these guys and the track they made.
They and everyone I have collabed with here on the site bring out the best in me and I hope it complements their songs, that's why I credit them for what I do...they inspire me!
Thanks again!
Allen.
It's just such a good experience when trawling through the recently posted tracks to find someone who you know will have something to "say" musically. This is just amazing stuff. What a great sound you have and your playing is so beautifully phrased and so nicely executed. The arrangement is very classy too. Great job. Lovely listening experience. Love it.
Regards
Richie
I have to say that I've never been so inspired until I joined this site.I played bars for many years just to provide money for the rent(And drinks).I can't count how many times I've played"Gimme Three Steps,Turn The Page and Old Time Rock n Roll"for a tip or shot of JD...which ever came first,or both!
This site has allowed me to play different styles and the freedom to grow that I never would have done in the clubs.
I know you know what I'm sayin'my friend and your comments are appreciated. It's a whole new world(musically)out there with this technology we have with the net,I just wish that one day we all could meet in person...what a jam that would be!!
Thank you for listening.
Allen.
Nothing else to say!!!!!
Your Shania tunes have been fantastic, you and Richie are doing so well and I look forward to many more...maybe"From this Moment"?..well,it is a wedding type of song... but A good one!
Thank you for the review,You know what Spell can do and Bones is great at what he does and added,I'm A lucky guitarist with very talented friends;)
Allen.
Wayne
This one is not really new but one that I haven't uploaded myself.Zoom is the Guitar Pedal I use before going into the recorder,it's an old habit that's hard to break for me but it does the job...I just have to deal with"pedal noise"..I just bury it in the track and no one hears it...so far!
Thanks again Wayne, your comments and advice have always been important and appreciated by me.
Allen.
Thank you for your great comments!
Allen.
Thank you so much for your comments.
I have to say that when I was a kid in the 70's I learned a lot from Christian guitarist Phil Keaggy. My Father was a Pastor of church and I was the typical preachers kid but I played a Les Paul like my idol Phil and he used his pinkie finger for the swells and I adopted that Technic, but it is harder with a Tele...but that's how I do it,with the Pinkie.I've tried a volume pedal but I can't do it,It's something about being able to swell it so smoothly and on the spot...not reaching for a pedal.
Thank you so much Ed,Your comments mean so much cause I believe you know what I'm trying to do with my/Collab songs...I just want to be an added addition that complements the song,If I can do that,I'm A happy man!
Allen.
