Description : MStokes sent this to me months ago and we called it complete,he uploaded it on his page.
Then we decided to update it and Tumbleweed had this great intro to his own track "Missing",which he was so kind to let us use.
Please go visit both of these artists as they have so much more to share.
Thanks as always,
Allen

Hey Doc,Thanks!
This one did pull me out of my box a bit.I see Pink Floyd as a favorite album of yours so I hope to do more of that style in the future...and I do like your track "Holly"...I just have to get back to your page and comment properly, and I will!
Michael Stokes is a freaking genius. Then you toss in your guitar work (a master's class in how to play one). Then for good measure, you incorporate Ed's intro....holy cow, this is so good!!!!!!!!
Seriously one of the best tracks on the Loop. I have to agree with the Robin Trower reference from Dave - he would be proud of this one for sure.
UNBELIEVABLE!!!!
AWESOME!!!!

Bear
By the way, if you need a guitar, I've got several lying around that are used to being abused instead of played, haha. They wouldn't know how to act in the hands of a master.
Thank you so much for the comments Bear,These are some of my last tracks I'll be able to work on for a while.
Not to be a downer cause' this is not the forum but I have had to sell all my guitars,I lost my car and job and had to take care of my family but my father is helping me with transportation so life will get better.
Any new tracks you here will be from previously recorded guitar parts.
I appreciate your comments and this site,it has changed my life for the better and I'm sure God will provide.
I'll probably say that you're a lead genius :) whish I could play like that Allen, Congrats to both of you this song has everything.. Bravo gentlemen!!
Yep yep yep, talent overload in this one fellas. Man, if there was one instrument that i wish I could play it would be the guitar. Keep doing your thing gentleman, great collaboration here! We need more, in fact, we DEMAND more from you guys :).
This is a bit more dark and dramatic from what i'm used to from you. It reminds me a little of the Ozric Tentacles. As PJB pointed out it would make a splendid movie them tune or possibly a Miami Vice style cop show.
And there's you saying you hadn't been doing much lateley. Great work as always man.
Hello Mr Radical!
Thanks for the review my friend,I have a little tune I'll be uploading soon that is more your style...I think you'll like it;)
Yes,I seem to still be able to make music even though I don't have a guitar at the moment, but I am sitting on a great deal of guitar tracks so I'll keep on keepin' on!
Now this music should have been the theme for 20 Million Years B.C.(the film staring Raquel Welch...pant,pant,drool)...just an abstract thought,sorry.....Ohh,I like the squeezing guitar tone and volume swells...Jimi and Robin Trower eat your heart out!lol...I listened to your coolab(as opposed to collab) with Twanna the other day (left a review on her page)and was blown away..I mean I wasn't expecting anything less from someone with her musical pedigree...this is a great track and it's remiss of me not to mention the other collaborators MStokes and Tumbleweed(yay guys!)...man there's definitely a snakeskin element to your playing with some serious juju in the mix, very evocative and spaced out...when will the younger generation figure out that you have to be seriously straight headed to get seriously bent musically! lol...love it! cheers Dave :)
Hey Dave!
Thank you for stopping by,it's good to see old friends back on the Loop and by "old" I mean since the old site went down,I am embracing turning 48 on Dec 5th...well..cause I can't do anything about it anyway lol.
Seriously,I think what I like at this age musically and personally is that I feel comfortable in my skin, not that I don't want to push any musical boundaries or limits,I just feel that not having to prove myself or compete is a sweet spot after 38 years of playing.
I'm happy to make music that makes me happy and to share it with our community,if a few other artists here like some of it then I'm very pleased and life is good.
With collaborations,it's a win win!
Ahhh...Raquel wearing a little bit of animal skin...now that's the kind of skin I would definitely be comfortable in.
Oh...you reviewed the track...(my mind also wandered)
MStokes built the frame and I tried to fill it in with something that would complement. These were my "first impression" guitar tracks and I wanted to go back and try a few different things later, which I did but I got further from the feel of his track and went back to this.I do that often and as a musician yourself you know how that can be,sometimes your first idea is best.Mike had this up for a while and I felt it needed a little makeover and as soon as I decided on an intro I found Tumbleweeds track, which is great if you haven't heard it.
What can I say about Twanna except she's awesome!I don't think everyone realizes that she does all the production, even on my guitar.I send her tracks with just a little delay(for myself)and she does the rest.
I'm lovin' collaborating with her Dave. You just play to a track, send it to her, drink a few beers and like magic...you wake up and a song appears in your email..lol,now that's cool;)
after hearing the blackcat's ethereal sounds, now this sonic soundscape, nuff said...grew up to 80's HAIR thrash and quiet riot so i look forward to hearing more. And to think that wolfy Nuada is prowling around, oh the insanity, makes me realize I aint nuthin but a chicken wing eating cheeto. Salute Sirs!
Retronical!
Hello my friend,I come from the 80's also so that's why I can't change my sound too much cause I'm already programmed and wired this way,but I still love it and some of us just have to embrace it,keep playing and hope someone out there likes it...even if it's just those of us(Like myself)who have survived late night render-vouz boat rockin' discotheque's and waking up beside a couple of semi-hairy apes the next morning...Ah...the good ol' days...and lived to tell the tale;)
Thanks for the great review and don't say chicken wing eating cheeto as if it's a bad thing,I love what you do and on any given day that would be the best thing anyone called
me...and I love Cheetos's anyway,crunchy:)
Wow...thats rock boys....I can think of no bigger compliment than to have a fellow musician use some of my efforts in their music,...so many thanks to you guys....and a great job on this track...the intro almost gives it a kind of dark goth feel and then the good stuff hits the fan....right on (as we used to say)....Ed (Tumbleweed)
Thank you Ed!
MStokes had this uploaded for quite awhile before I decided to upload it myself.I had several ideas to update the song with an intro/outro but nothing fit until I heard your track...perfect,and of course I had to ask and you were very gracious to be a part of this song.
I sent a demo to Mike and his enthusiasm sealed the deal.
Thank you my friend!
My parts really weren't scripted out at all.
I was sent the track from MStokes minus guitars.I held on to his track for a while cause I wasn't sure what to do but I was inspired by it and came up with the parts I hoped would complement what he started.
Oh...the bass and all percussion was from him,I played several rhythm tracks and lead guitar.
I'm pleased that you like it and thanks for the review!
Thank you Dan...I'm going with the flow here and hoping that whatever I can add to these collaborations complement my fellow artists and help them create a great track.
Honestly,I feel like I'm just a player and these guys are the creators,I'm honored to play on every track I collaborate on...that's what pleases me,to make a worthy contribution to these awesome songs that would be great with or without me.
If I make a song better...then it's a win win :)
Thank you mrck1z,I appreciate the Satch reference and am humbled by it.
MStoke's track that he sent me was the canvas...and more,I just tried to help paint the picture I felt he intended.
Yesh! Thanks my friend, this was a little bit of a challenge as I wasn't sure what to play to his track.. it was a little out of my "cut and dry 80's rock style"...lol.
It was refreshing to crawl out of my comfort zone and explore.
But it was MStokes great track that made the difference,I still sound like me but within the musical world he created,he is very unique.
I tried other inrto's but Tumbleweed's fit like a glove and now I can't hear it any other way.
Thanks for listening and reviewing,I appreciate it!
Allen

Description : This is my newest creation, at a stage very near to completion. No third-party mastering or mixing, as with all my tracks. Just have to fix a few tiny things. I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO MIX EVERYTHING IN THE SAME SESSION. This song has all human-played instruments - no quantization or MIDI! My brother does all the vocals except for the interlude part, which I do. My other brother plays the rhythm guitar (a Gibson Les Paul Custom - only one of 12 in the world!!) and I play the accompanying guitar (a Johnny Mar Jag and PRS). He has a lot of guitars :P A good friend of ours, Ronnie, plays the bass and another friend, Freddie, plays the drums. The drum track was done in one take (had to use an electric drum set due to time constraints - but acoustic kits are so much better). Overall, pretty satisfied with the result. Let me know your thoughts.
Description : Feel free to check out the lyrics video on YT as well :) This is a new track based on the great vocals by Ashes and Dreams! Again, a mix of electronic/progressive/rock, any feedback is welcome
Description : The first track I sing on. Cheap stage mic & no fancy plugins. Heavily guitar laden to the point it's got a bit of a shoegaze thing going on. I pulled the lyrics out of my ass & yes, they're a bit silly.
Description : Produced by me. Vocal by singer from Croatia.
It will be released in few months.
I wanted to offer this song to a singer from LM community but she refused me before i even offered it to her.
I was actually inspired by Richard Shekaris work in here few months ago for this song.
It was meant to be in Latin at first but we found up it's much easier to do it in Italian with almost same effect.
This is all made in FL, no live instruments played , it's all electronic.
Love and peace.
Description : This song was not supposed to be the fourth track of "Diverse waves", but it finally is. Anyway it's a rock oriented track with some interesting sounds. I hope you like it. Worked in zenbeats DAW, by Roland.
Description : BIG UPDATE 26/02/2014 - So, this was an 18 min track that I have now successfully split in two. 2nd half I uploaded a few weeks ago (Things That Should Always Be, with the bouncy 2 min reggae intro). This is the first half, which has a new mix, a mega chill, meditative ending and a little jazz thrown in for good measure. Takes a few minutes for beat to really kick in. Constantly evolving electric guitar, bass guitar, acoustic drums and lead banjo driven by fat, busy 80BPM grooves with a bit of a reggae and shuffle feel. Also: synth choir voices, dulcimer, violin, cello, shimmering pads. Builds up gradually to nice and rocking and then gets taken back down for the big comedown chill. I really don't know what sort of genre this is except 'far out'. I think it sounds more like a live band than one guy playing instruments and manipulating a DAW. Not my best track but a bit of blissful, sunny island fun. Real positive vibe here so I hope you give it a chance to unfold and unfurl. Sit back, clear your schedule and immerse yourself in these trippy sonic experiments cooked up deep in my off-planet underground laboratory. I have to send the MP3 to Earth via space courier (not cheap).
Description : This track was like the inhale after an exhale of aggressive industrial-electro-sludge tracks that I had put out that summer and fall. This was the more reserved, and introspective winter track. It's nothing spectacular, but I still really enjoy it. I hope you do too. Take care. V.
The bass is creatively handled, and the rhythm is inspired and taut
