Heya Blair, I'm getting it in mono too. I suspect that the crackling is related to the mono thing. Dunno what program yer using to record these, but there are a few ways around it (if it was inadvertently captured that way).
1.) Take track & copy it,
2.) Place it on the next channel,
3.) Click on the HELP menu and select Index,
4.) Now search for- Mono To Stereo, Make Stereo Pair, Swap Channels, (Make) Mono Left...
(kind of a tricky pain in the ##### coz it varies from program to program, sadly {shakes head}).

As for the song, its pretty powerful and I imagine its for those who've gone through rehab, coz most of the addicts I know are too self-absorbed to be mindful of the feelings of those around them (course, that'd depend on the drug, was thinking coke & speed with the above). Besides the previously mentioned issues this isn't half-bad for your first go 'round @ recording. Keep bangin on brother!

All I am getting is a mono feed...I have checked out all my stuff and things seem to be fine...am I crazy? well maybe, but that is a whole other issue. Aside from that and the crackling sounds on the track. I like the basics of what you have here. Cool acoustic piece and your vocals are unique. Peace and love, Six
