Vocal is top notch.
Another one that's not really my kind of thing but this is beautiful.
The standard of some of the stuff on here is quite incredible.
The bar seems to be getting set higher all the time.
I don't like the opening.
The electro voice thing doesn't seem to belong anywhere near your superb vocals or the music style.

Thank you! I get why you not might like the vocoder, but for me it's an important part of the song.

on Closer Feat Billion by BillionaireExclusive
Not my kind of stuff at all but but but .... this sounds so professional!
So well put together.
I think your radio ready mate.
Sort of stuff some of my kids would love and their kids too.
In fact I might leave this playing when they're about see what reaction I get.
They'll find it hard to believe it comes from where I stick my stuff!
Well done Bill.

on I Got Lost Again by Spivkurl
This is insane!
This is music from the inmates!
You got lost at the asylum?
I love this.
Absolutely love it.
Sounds nothing like but it takes me to the craziest stuff of the B 52's Tom Waits Captain Beefheart.
Don't change Spiv.
I know what you mean when you hear the conveyor belt music.
So unique so listenable.
Possibly my all time favourite now.
I'm inspired.
Fantastic bestest thingest I heard in a long time.
It fits nowhere.

That is a very kind and pleasing comment to read! Happy that you felt inspired after listening.

Really, it is mainly referring to being lost by the legal system, yet again. In addition, sometimes it's easy to loose your bearings. *startled, glances at trousers*

In the end, it was a fun and cathartic way to force myself to slow down. Compared to my other endeavors, writing and composing music seems like a "free ride," atleast in a physical sense.

On this bright and overcast day, many great things grow towards a bloom. I thank you for adding to the brightness!

on MISS U SO MUCH by CitizenMofo
So much potential!
Takes me back many years to something somewhere.
Don't know what it is where it is or when it was but you pressed a button.
Fantastic feeling but something doesn't quite sound right.
Problem is I'm listening on pc speakers just now. They are BnO but they're still only pc speakers.
I'll have a listen later on something bigger.
Great atmosphere.

Thanks, Silverman! I'm a silverman too, or silverback as I prefer, so appreciate the comment from one to another. What doesn't sound quite right? Please let me know if you figure it out. Thanks!

on Heaven and hell by mindhiest
Sounds good.
Don't apologise for the story.
Sometimes the story comes first with me. I wanted to do a train sound and achieved it.
Wanted to make a motorbike track with no guitars .... unusual but was happy with it.
Other times I finish a piece and then add the story to nudge someone in the direction my mind went .... after making the tune.
It's all good and it's only rock n roll but I like it.

with you on that. sometimes I have a story and make the piece but the story change as i make the song or after I make the song. thank you

Soon as that voice came in I was transported to the cinema and the opening of a film!
Very different from your usual stuff.
Enjoyed now I'm going to watch the film.

I'm happy Silverman that you connected with this one. I guess it could work as the intro to a film. Look forward to connecting more. Dan

on Mujahideen Forces by igorsamanski
Whatever it is it sounds very well put together.
Great gaming sound.
I'm useless on genres and know nothing whatsoever of dub step.
Is this typical dub step I'm wondering?
For my ears it needs a bit more variety along the way.
Like I said before though it sounds very well put together.
I can imagine it in a game environment.

Hoping to post some stuff up over the next few weeks.

Weird and wonderful.
You are very creative.
Well put together and hits all the right spots. Someone said needs a little more variety and I'd agree with that.

on Calm and Tired by lAVel
Hello Russia.
This is so dark!
It's troubling and worrisome and just a little scary.
Something terrible is about to happen and I think I'll leave the lights on tonight because I think the terrible thing is I'm about to be swallowed by the darkness itself.
Only criticism is it's to short. Look forward to more.
In fact I'm ging to listen to some of your stuff right now.

Powerful stuff indeed!
Brilliant show opener as the crowds come piling into a darkened space with the lights and lasers flashing and dancing in every direction.

Dark and dreadful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed that.
I'm trying to do something similar to this just now but I get so far and then give up because it just doesn't sound like people are going to accept it but but but ... you have just inspired me to stick with it and crack on.
...... and he goes back to his own darknesssssss

on Waiting 4 Neosian Herb by DubSmockers
I've listened to quite a bit of your stuff and this is the best one by far so you are improving with time and age which is what we all want. Not sure what you've done with this filter/effects wise but theres a very in your face feel about this like I'm sitting next to you playing this. Has a live feel I think. Are you maybe recording with a mic?
Enjoyed it very much. Moody piece.
All power to you.

So dark and worrying! What's down the road around the corner in this darknessssss? You must have one hell of a collection of that stuff by now Phatz. Top sound from a very creative man.

18 cigar box guitars (well, cookie and various tins too) here right now, that's not including the ones I've given away and 2 in a local flea market for sale :D Thanks Silverman, this one is my fav's, such incredible sound out of it! I guess we'll just have to venture into the darkness to see what lies beyond, what's the worst that could happen? I do have quite the collection of dark tracks as well with more on the way for halloween. Coming across some older incomplete ones I'm trying to finish up, if they're worth finishing.

Hey Silverman, sorry for the late reply...should do better I know. You know, I am listening to so many types of music, it is hard even for me to tell where the influence comes from. But it's all rocknroll and I like it ;)

I love this!
Love the way the rather alien guitar appears and fits so well.
I could have handled a couple of more minutes of this easily.
Totally pro sound.

Thanks mate glad you enjoyed it, I would have extended the track with more vocal samples but I only had a certain amount in that key so I didn't want to be too repetitive, though I should have extended the flute solo!...ah well, short and sweet I guess..next time i'll stick to a longer format...cheers mate

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much of Man left to get the full picture. I saw Atomic Rooster live at a collage in Manchester but got arrested half way through enjoying myself because I had weed in my pocket. 1969 MAYBE 70.
SupaFreakshow
SupaFreakshow replied 27th Jul 2016 - 10 years ago
Yeah Silve, most of the videos of Man that I came across were in more recent times.

Haha! You can thank the whole Reefer Madness campaign (at least that's what it was known as in the States) for that trip to the clink!
