Second listen.
Magical.
One day the poets and musicians will take over from the warriors!

This has a near mystical quality to it.
Superbly put together.
Faved.
This is stoner music!

on Taking All My Time by T0mmyy
By the way what happened to the ending .... did it break off?

A bit late here, but the track I used simply ended that way and I didn't have much choice, so it is what it is I guess.

Thanks for sopping by and listening all those months ago :)

Dear Doctor,
I just listened to some of your stuff.
So much potential!
People are listening to your stuff and hardly any comments.
I'm sure it's because you're not mixing things down.
All the tracks in each tune seem to be playing at the same level.
No breaks no pauses no changes.
When you get something going you stick with it and keep it repeating.
I know that place.
It's because your enjoying that moment so much.
There are some great sounds coming from you.
Stop enjoying yourself so much in those headphones.
Stop with the self indulgence and edit your work.
If you do I think more people will stop by and leave comments.
Seriously some great sounding stuff but too chaotic.

DrCoolest replied 14th May 2017 - 9 years ago
Thanks for your considerate input.I actually do this to be self indulgent
as I don't receive pay and just do it for my pleasure,I'm not that concerned
about folks leaving comments and there may not be any listeners that enjoy
my edits. Minimalism-inpressionism is sometimes a tedious genre to listen
to and not all will enjoy it.I am grateful to Looperman and the members
for allowing me to express my "art" in my own way and appreciate any
and all input.....Doc

on Younger Dolphins by DrCoolest
With determination I got three quarters of the way through but it was unpleasant to be honest.
Calm it down.
It needs mastering.
There are some great possibilities but no one in or out of their minds could .... I might be wrong.
Lets see what others think.

Whoaaaaa!
Psychedelic for sure but but but it's completely mad!
Somewhere in there is a great track but at the moment it's just a huge onslaught a wall of noise!
There needs to be some breaks some pauses some changes to the wall of sound that is so overpowering I can't get to the end of this!!!!!
DrCoolest
DrCoolest replied 13th May 2017 - 9 years ago
Of course you are right. This is like other of my tunes "minimalistic"
not really edited to separate(but edited). Not for all to listen, but I appreciate
your input....thanx,....Doc

on Pawel S Ft Apollodor Your Heart At Mind by pawciolo
I know this pella!
I downloaded it and tried so hard to fit it into all manner of things and failed.
I think you've done a great job with it.
113 plays 6 downloads and no comments!!!!!
I fail to understand that.
I think you've done a pretty nice number here.
The only thing I don't like is that naked hit ending.
Other than that nice tune. Very nice.

Nice little number.
Uncluttered clean clear matches your description well.
The heavy guitar is a nice touch to this otherwise gentle piece.
Thumbs up.

on Caroline by teamrufeless
I can find little wrong with these lyrics mate.
The little I can find is they are a little muted.
Apart from that this is a great little number.
Leonard Cohen the king og gloom never took anyones advice about his lyrics.
Been a fan of his for getting on fifty years I think.
One of the greatest lyrisists ever in my book and no .... never been depressed in my life.
His pain is wonderous to behold. Magical even.
Keep doing what comes natural to you.

This is pretty cool stuff.
Where does the vocal come from?
There's a lot to be said for keeping it uncomplicated and getting this slick clean sound.

It really does need mastering.
All the tracks are playing at the same volume.
Go have a twiddle with it.

on Sweet Farewell WIP by bitronix
I have never heard anything like this before.
Is there stuff like this out there?
Excellent job.
Very enjoyable experience and to be honesyt I hear no flaws.
This place and the people here never cease to amaze me with the quality of stuff that gets produced.
Very different for me this one and I like that.
Same old same old gets a bit boring.
Great little number.

bitronix replied 15th May 2017 - 9 years ago
It's future bass and I believe it could be a mix of jazz, classical or any 1920s chord progressions.

Thanks man! I appreciate the compliment. Cheers!

on Volkano Remix - The Alexx Marie by hashmet
Nice little number this.
The whole thing sounds good to my ears in cans.
I like a little dissonance in fact I often like quite a lot!
When I'm listening to other peoples stuff I often play those silly pc card games and that's what I was doing when ... it finished!
Way to short.
This can easily remain enjoyable at twice the length it is at present.

on Under the Waves by theHumps
dumarecht ..... what he said.
Within seconds I was thinking Nick Cave.
Yep we want blood and death.
You need some killer lyrics on this .......
theHumps
theHumps replied 9th May 2017 - 9 years ago
Blood and death seem to be the request of the day for this track. Can't say I was thinking of doing vocals for this one but stranger things have happened.

Do I need some killer lyrics or would serial killer lyrics on this track be better? I mean what would Nick do?

Cheers man!

on TTAG - Hollowed Happiness by mashio123
Very enjoyable track.
Love that synth work that comes in around the 1.05 mark. Had to do a replay a couple of times on that bit but am still undecided as to whether it was a vocalised synth or a guitar synth or a vocalised guitar synth.
Nicely put together.
Just curious what BPM?

on Pavement Hitter by Spivkurl
2.14.
At the 2'14 mark my brain flipped.
Not sure how to describe the effect.
The information coming from the headphones seemed to trigger a message that I was now out of breath.
Of course I wasn't because in reality I'm sitting still in a comfy chair enjoying a beer but that's not the message my brains getting.
There's a slight panic in the background when my brain realises that no I'm not out of breath.
Amazing when a piece of music through cans can have such an effect.
Good while since it last happened and I think that was to do with breathing too but can't remember it now.
Great little ride thank you!

As one who likes to respond to comments in the order they appeared, it was difficult to wait for this one. It was a very entertaining and interesting read!

Your words made me feel entirely confident that my artistic goals were achieved in this song, and that you also have excellent ears for detail. It is exhilarating to read the response to my "message," and one which fits the bill nicely for my intentions.

The panic which you felt is probably a fitting response as well, since panic can often lead one to examine themselves deeply and initiate evolution. I do apologise if it was disconcerting though.

I have definitely realised that this song is intended for headphone listening, though I think it translates acceptably to a system... I have not heard it uncompressed on my hi fi though.

I always appreciate hearing you response to my songs, so thank you very much for this, and for the favorite! Have a good day!

Very captivating piece right from the off!
Love it.
To me this has commercial possibilities.
Reminds me of a huge hit from the early 70's called popcorn.

Oh!, I really surprised by the comment from pro-living musician!

I have no idea what that means.
You sound angry.
MasanoriMurabayashi
MasanoriMurabayashi replied 8th May 2017 - 9 years ago
Sorry for using junk word 'pro-living'. I meant 'you work as professional', because your comment says that 'I would love to create the next BBC news opening'. I don't get angry at all. I hope you to listen my next tune. Thank you.

on TV News program opening by MasanoriMurabayashi
I would love to create the next BBC News opening.
The current one which they've had for years now is the usual punchy on edge beep of emergency surrounded by swirly synths.
Not really any music in it.
It does the job very well.
This little piece wouldn't work.
It's a great little piece of music in it's own right but doesn't have that urgency required by news.
I'd love to hear a longer version of this as it simply develops into a nice tune which it has certainly started out as.
MasanoriMurabayashi
MasanoriMurabayashi replied 6th May 2017 - 9 years ago
Oh!, I really surprised by the comment from pro-living musician! I never thought of the urgency which news requires, when I compose this song, I thought only Jazz functionality of hybrid codes and key changes that I like other than ease of intuitiveness and conveying the news program requirements. Composing this kind of song is very difficult especially on short length. Thanks for your pro comment.
