Description : Tried my hand at some energetic breakbeat, I think it turned out pretty nice. The title is from the name of a Star Trek solar system... can't get enough of that Star Trek TNG. Would love to hear what you think! From the Spivkurl album "Strong Like Squirrel."
Description : Intense Breakbeat, could develop into 4 or 5 songs, lotsa guitars and metal and trance and other goodies...well just listen.
Description : here it is a quickly done mix for this demo//mash up electro clash sort of // with breakbeat // crunchy soundz and FX.
Now this track needs collaborationS !
like a punchy vox and some keyboard skills.
I may add some funky guitar at the very end ??
If some space still avaible in the mix...
Description : This is my effort for Static Nomads thread "make a track in the style of another looper"
I chose Mr Funktastic because he's got so many cool loops. I just pinched one of his funky basslines and built around it. It's not as good as Joe does it but hey! It was fun to do something a little different from usual.
Description : BRICS, the new economic powerhouse of emerging nations Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. In the struggle for economic dominance will cooperation prevail regarding climate change and other issues of global importance or will it be business as usual?
This track is a heavily sampled break beat melange featuring Russian vocalist Doctyabrev and excerpts of speeches in languages of the other three countries including Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi, and Marina Silva of Brazil. There's a whiff of Maceo's "Cross the Tracks" in there too.
Much thanks to all the Looperman contributors including: Doctyabrev, fanto8bc, djnab, blueskies, buffalonugaluss, megapaul, and 7venth12. 100 bpm, key of E.
Description : I HOPE YOU ARE NOT TO LAZY TO READ THIS xD
All started with a Future Bass Drum with Reverb at 140 BPM. It sound like Dubstep and then all go fast. A very Deep Synth Flute with Reverb as Bass. Hig Synth for the Melody. High Flute with Reverb for other. And High Wobbling Synth with stereo Phaser. Many Crazy Snares and lite Stick Hits as Percussion with Reverb. End a Pad with the same Stereo Phaser effect. Yeah thats it. I work 4 Hours at this Track. Sounds Like Future Bass or Dubstep with a lite Happy EDM touch. Please leave some Feedback. Which genre is this? Whats good , Whats Bad? You know what I mean :D
Description : Made with ableton live and massive!
Cheers for the previous suggestions!
Description : Breakcore bass 808 synths
Description : I wasn't going to upload this because it's a headphone mix. I'm moving house so the sound system is packed but i figured what the hell, I'll edit it later if it sounds like crap. Anyway, it's mainly synths with a few loops chucked in for good measure.

Description : Hi guys!
Just wanted to take a look at the wave form here on Looperman too...is it still a brick? This is just the second assignment for the Ableton Live course (you can read about it in the forums). Having issues with the compression, clipping and distortion.
Edit2: Made an update and took away some audio effects and reduced others. Maybe it's sounding a little clearer now. Also added some midi tracks and rearranged the mix a bit.

Could this be called Breakbeat? Should I develope the bass line and/or add some more drums? I Think I like this song, it's really weird. =)
Description : This track is one of those that come together in the weirdest of ways... By saying that I mean this: When you listen to it (and I hope you do), the 'sawtooth bass' you hear in the track is actually a bass drum played at 128 notes and 256 notes..! On top of that is one of my funkiest beats to date - and it's made to sound sonically pleasing production wise. I've added some odd time signatures in there (4/4 to 3/4 & 6/8) for variation and I've added some timbales / bongos too. The track revolves around the drums in reality so please enjoy.
hi again - just wanted to hear some of your older work and this is a great track! It seems like it's very simple dance/electronic/chip tune(?) but it is made with lot of attention to the production details and that's what I really enjoy here. Very fine listening experience - I do not know if I can hear properly the lower sub-bass frequencies on my speakers but it is for sure the most powerful element of this song.
Maybe I will check out your album as well if still available.
I hope I will be able to release also full collections of my music in the future.
Best to you, Alex
Well i thought i'd return the favour and check out one of your older tracks as well. What does Zendi Kabu mean then? Liking the breakbeats that you've used in this is sounding well old school combined with that heavy sub bass. The riff reminds me of something but i can't think what that is now (f**king helpfull comment that is) Oh and i've just noticed what Zendi Kabu is so no need to explain that now.
Another enjoyable one from you.
FR
very impressive, mate !!!!
i love tomtoms and bassline in this track. SO NICE...FAVED
This has got a real kinda of 90s feel to it for me. A real fun energy about the whole piece, it's bouncy and uplifting, which made me dance around at work (not a pretty site).
Really cool sound to it and excellent production as always. Really loved it.
This sounds like happy hardcore mixed with roots reggae with a bit of wet bass slapped on top haha! love it.
Yeah, cool title, grew up in a household full of Star Trek fans, we used to have a lurcher dog named Saavik, miss that dog, amazing how the fictional technology in the old Star Treks are actually a reality today, nothing is impossible aye,...there's that Nintendo sound again, man you sure know how to turn out a fun track, strange Ska feel to this which is hard to put my finger on, cool old school breakbeat..defo makes you want to bounce, nice one man.
In few words: a great track! The afro flavor is mixing excellent with the electronic idea. It is indeed very funny, and a pleasure in the same time.
cool.fun to listen to. nothing else needs to be said.e
no wonder...Listen to the creative genious here! I'm already a fan! You make making music sound fun all over again.
What I think, well...Counselor Troy was nice. This was definately a fun track, felt like a happy hardcore Caribbean Carnival.
Hi Spivkurl
I really liked the breakbeat beats that fit this perfectly....as usual a perfect deep bass and light synth in unison and all arranged well
great sounds

Trax

HEY I GOT A NEW MELO HARDCORE TRACK,PLEASE CHECK IT OUT
SCREENPLAY
Fun track. I don't know if it's really energetic, though, it would require much more powerful sounds :P. The track is well structured and sounds fun, good job. But I wouldn't call this track breakbeat - it sounds more like jungle/d'n'b, but that's for you to decide ;).
Hey Pat,
Man, I love the bass on this one. Really, really nice :) I happen to know an actor who played a Hirogen Hunter on Star Trek.
He's a pretty good guitar player but one ugly dude, haha.
Nice, happy song. I really enjoyed this one. Keep up the great work.
Bear
This is amazing i love it man. sounds like it can be heard in a cartoon or something. i like how the synth follows the kick in unison and keeps the flow going. clean clear mix too man. great job
Neobane
MAN I LOVE NEW TRACKS FORM U SPIVKURL I LIKE THE TRANSPOSE MELODY ON THAT SAMPLE AND THE BREKBEAT IS SIMPLE AND STRAIGHT FOWARD.
LOVE THIS TUNE AND UR STYLE.
SCRRENPLAY
PS I GOT A NEW TRACK AS WELL A REAL LAID BACK ONE LOL
very cool track m8, like the use of that old classic drum loop, the melody really cheered me up, its an uplifting vibe, its the kinda tune that if it was made 5 years from now it would still sound cool, well done m8.... youve inspired me..
Hey my friend
So good to get some new tunes and this is brilliant, so love the bassline, bassline really driving this baby along with the beat, extremely fun type of piece, very nice synths and fx used, good clarity and arrangement Spiv, this piece a good dash of spunk about it, one very talented dude, want more okies :-)massive fav my friend, WOW such a feel good track, bet you had fun doing this one, feels to me that you might have...Peace n Respect mate...Estefano...
A rhythm, frenetic and contagious. I think this beat is made up of binary ... This is music Ferengi. I really remember them. Catchy. Long life and prosperity, my friend.
oh yeah - a very energetic and funny topic:) Good job
cool fun track....well done
That organ(i might be wrong) melody sounds like is coming from an ice-cream van!
This is a very upbeat track my friend,a-la Spivkurl-style,perfect to recover from hangovers and mild depressions.
I can see this one being a soundtrack to a video featuring two dwarves(dressed up as clowns)chasing a rival dwarf gang down the road with water-pistols.Unique and exquisite.
Great track Spivkurl! I dont really know what breakbeat is but it sounds like a contemporised version of Calypso music to me. Infectiously catchy and you have used some excellent sounds. Star Trek has provided a great title too!
Jamie.
What a happy, upbeat piece of breakbeat.
Well done, as always, my friend (faved)
John
Nice one kurl, I love the beat dynamic on this, all clean as well. Melody is as usual -happae! the bass around 1.10 is perfect. btw I been having trouble with creating a profound yet wide bass lately and I found that the best way is to turn output on the compressors down a lot while adding reverb, hope that helps with headroom a bit, don't know what gear/prog you're using. Apart from the bass sounding a bit overclocked here i think it's nice and funky, I'd love to hear a continuation of this. I haven't been in the mood for upbeat lately but this certainly helps to get it going. You're an inspiring artist, keep it up.
What a NASTY LIL BASS! LUV THIS TRACK!
epic breakdown too, luv tha composition
and arrangement! Nice kick to go with that ultra bass
and tha drum pattern is truly a breakbeat! That synth
is SO CATCHY, its stuck in me head now, and luv how you
used it during tha breakdown! A tasty lil treat for tha ears,
but for some reason tha synth melody reminds me of Christmas...
I have no idea why, it just does lmao
TOP TRACK SPIV!
Much Respect from LA
ah, SK - i get such an optimistic vibe - it's geeky as hell but universal and clear - much appreciation + respect
Fun track! Feels as if I was in some amusement park or luna park, having a lot of fun and eating lollipops (or is it mushrooms?), lol!
Love the shaky bass and the panning, and that flute synth or whatever it is sounds too cool.
Nice one Spiv!
The first bass sounds like my sub's broken... lol
I really love the alternating instruments in this one.
Pretty hard for me to explain in English but the bass sound and the synth kinda sound almost never play together..
That's what I really like about this track
This is real good work my friend!
Maybe a little bit more variation on the drums would be good... ?
lol Respect my friend ;)
(btw: I know you really like to 'return the favor' of a review and yes I love that, but I'm uploading a track as we speak it's called 'Hola' and I would really enjoy it if you check it out :)
