on when U laugh by deciBel
Hello Behnam, This trial I believe still is incomplete, not for its abrupt ending but, for it's moment in holding onto the previous thought. I hear the instruments wanted to say something more. I like the sounds you chose to explain the image of how that time seemed like. This is some natural deep thought. The piano allows me to make it personal to a time where she was laughing too but, not there anymore. A respective story. Must continue the ending sentence, will be interesting to hear. Thank you for sharing, is enjoyed and appreciated style from you. Hope things are clearer now. Peace.

Hello DesignedImpression and many thnx for the attention , listening & sharing your critical idea .
I underestand U & I think U'll underestand me to say I prefer people listen my trials 2 times , instead of making a longer version of them .but U've truely felt about instruments cause this is an extracted part of a longer version of this trial which I can send U in email if U're minded cause knowing your idea about that version too will be interesting for me and maybe that's why U've truely felt instruments wanting to say somethings more .
anyway designedImpression , your point of view is worthy of considering for me ,generally too everyone's idea is respectable for me .
and any how , now , U think what can make this better ?
which line , which instrument ( U think ) should be improved & expanded to make the listeners don't feel this is incomplete ? ....looking forward to read your reply & also according to your critical idea U're the only one who can feel free to want to collaborate about this track for any longer version .many thnx again & all the best.___B

on Liberate---Looptrack Challenge Run 3 Entry by Spivkurl
It whispered "hey, come here" I liked your selections and the theme you gave this mix. Its got the high and low stable leveled. Grooves and holds interest for me. Nice vocal sample 'Yeah' thrown in there, gave it that piece of air it needed to not get old. I actually 1st heard it yesterday and is what inspired me to get a fresh looped track uploaded for the challenge. So far most favorite track I've heard from the challenge this time. Thank you for sharing and for the inspiration too. How are you man?

Thank you very much for leaving a comment! It's kind of fun choosing loops, in a similar way to choosing patches on a synth, except you don't need to figure out the playing style that goes with the sound. The vocals were fun to mess with definitely, glad you like the sound of it! I'm glad I could help encourage you to be involved, this "challenge" seems like it's right in line with the ethics of the site, so I like pitching in a little. Thank you for the compliments! I am getting better with each day, though at the same time I feel like a different person now... we'll see how that effects my music. I am on my way to check out your track!

on Freak Looptrack Challenge Entry by Remuss
bass 2 bass! Interesting loop mix, got massive movement that goes boom on the speakers. As an instrumental alone it's cool that you can make it talk words by using instruments. Nice string selection, goes with the connecting pieces in a nice way. I have some cheap subs, but the sound is still knocking good Remuss. Good job and thanks for sharing. Peace.

on TROM 8 - Nerds Attack by TROM8
Very interesting. The chord stabs sound great with the background swoosh and that leading synth. The bass is heavy grinder giving the subs a nice workout. Like the drums in this type of step idea. Full of energy and gives the ears something new to hear. Yeah man those Trom 8s are something else, expected future from long ago. Thanks for sharing, keep creating! Peace.

on Dreaming In Blue by Orlando51
I received two words from this entire track. "LET GO" From chill to intense chill of thoughts this had me questioning my own thoughts and in return inspired me enough to agree with those thoughts turning that dream into something real.

Your mixes with Ed are presented well with mad interest into your creations. A lot of detail but the result I'm hearing hear sounds like a track well done. Good work to all involved and thanks for sharing with us. Stay motivated. Peace,DI

The track has a nice special space. Camera zooms in and out of the story that you have playing here. Dig the chillness and strong message that gave a positive vibe to continue on with the day. Your vocals this time is much different than I would think to hear from you, which is a good thing. Nice work to all involved. Thanks for sharing and hope the music is doing you good. Peace.

on Be Cool by ScottB55
Heck yeah! That beginning 50 sec had me listening like a deer caught in the headlights beam. Cool how the track evolves into the next stage. Great drums especially at that break at 2:34. The guitar after that talking some nice expressions. The brasses used worked well in this track. Here at 3:35 bringing back that great sound was a very nice thought. Very nice overall, my favorite parts about this one is the 1st 50 sec and at 3:35 til finished. That is the reason I keep listening. Thanks for sharing Scott, I like this style of jazz mix from you most. Be cool! Peace.

I see all those walkers slowly walking in rhythmic patterns. Very interesting synth work. The vocals this time had a better spot in the mix and was just the right amount of words to keep you interested while getting to your message. As others mentioned about the bass works, does sound good and heavy clean. I can hear what they mean about the professional quality. Honestly this is a family style I know of you and you do it really good. The mix to me is similar to your others, maybe this time that slightest adjustment allowed the sounds to push each other in the right direction instead of trying to top one another in some cases I've heard. Overall, was a good experience to listen to, I hear the fun init. Thanks for sharing Spiv, keep going! Peace.

Thanks very much for your support and helpful review! By "walkers" do you mean the zombie sort of walkers? I like those. I've been really training myself on equalization lately, and also trying to bring more of a progression to the mix and effects within my songs. Sometimes it takes much practice and many renditions to get it how I want it, but it feels worth it, especially when you have a song get this kind of reaction. I appreciate you listening!

on The Viking Way by gomagn
Now's this is some cool fusion work. Like the chilled space, in thought type of feel. Dealing with ways of the life one lives. Nice accompaniment by Franco. The flutes, hold a uniquely interesting melody. The overall vibe of the sounds as one share a self empowerment to keep on fighting. Like some of the themes from a movie I've seen recently, Rocky. The sound of a fighters choice. Really good track so far, What else are you looking for in a collaboration view? Hope it works out in the end. Thanks for sharing. Peace.

gomagn replied 29th May 2014 - 11 years ago
Thanks for listening! You get the emotional message very well. As for collaboration, I'm probably a very difficult partner - in that I don't usually know what I need until I actually hear it. In general, I'm looking for someone to compensate for areas I'm lacking in (which are plenty), but in particular, either folks having great mastery of an instrument, good voice/lyrics or someone good with post-processing/mastering.

on Leviathan by karnage1710
some heavy electronics man, sounds you chose to work with does a good job at presenting an image of sea mysteries. Could say this sounds like an entrance tune for Poseidon at the battles in the middle of the sea. Like the mix you created here. Plays good for the imagination, wondering if someone would make the same scene visually as this plays to it, would be very cool. Thanks for sharing, Keep going. Peace.

on Need it work by ElenaSatine
Thinking you did exceptionally well with what is shared here. Believed you used those loops in an appealing and special way. Example, from it's beginning it starts a path forward. The same as a thought before an action is in motion. The way you placed it together could give the listener a two step puzzle of finding yourself outside your normal life and a question of "why are you doing that which is known to be what you did not intend.?" Just saying it's easy to get lost in thoughts to this mix. It's not just sounds anymore which I know a lot of people here do a good job at. Thanks for sharing, It's good progress, don't give up. peace.

on Battle of Guardians by Anubis
This cinematic piece by you was a surprise to hear in the list. The sound works well for the imaged theme. Good transcription of selections that bring out the intensity of that guardians battle giving the listener enough imagination to interpret their own degree of what happened in that scene. May I asked how long did the string section for this piece take you? Turned out good, thanks for sharing, nice style. Peace.

on Bassy B by yappy
Yup is a bassy b! Like your work with those loops, putting some good sounds together with some real imagination. Definitely good job with the mixed sections. To me sounded like some new stuff from the past called "Dustro" I think it's a fusion of industrial and electro. Had a similar type of quality and sound which is cool to hear in a current time. Thanks. Keep going!

Thnx a lot for taking the time to listen and commenting as well. I've searched for DUSTRO since I don't know it but came up with DISTRO who I've also never heard of. My track is indeed sounding similar to him/her/them.

Thnx again!

on Sick Thoughts by locatednowhere
Thoughts here are indeed sick but they do sound very good together. Interesting experiment, nice job as well with it. The sections of drums guitars and synth sound complete as an instrumental package. Can imagine vocal lines as well. This mixed style is some heavy sickness but chill at the same time. What else where you interested of adding? Hope it comes out well. Thanks.

on Eclipse by XmafaX
Sounds like you've been in this scene for a bit. Natural impression of your use of vsts and loops combined. Are the drums vst programmed or loop? Either way, the kit being used really adds in a great way with the guitar flavors. The bass in this track is adrenaline ready and the speed of the faster parts are just right. From what I've heard from others this one really gets things rushing and your bar risen. Always good to have something that motivates and kicks dust up at the same time! I say you did a great job with the tools before you, an excellent 1st run. Keep going and thank you for sharing, Time to go outside and turn up the heat! Peace,Dave

Yes, a desolated town called Buried. Truth discovered far below, a ghost town with secrets well kept until now...

Not bad at all for your first track, should be proud, sounds dam good with full interest. Will you be releasing this song on a album or anything? Would like to know if there's a way I could get a copy to put on the old portable media player for when I go walking through these ghost streets of faded memories that remain. Will be checking out more of your tracks soon enough, keep going and thanks for sharing. Peace,Dave

I like that you tech tracks have a similar overall connection as I remember through the years, Dark times of thee unknown I get from this style of music. Interesting tracks FR, Good to hear you stuck at it. Keep going! Peace,Dave

best techno I've heard that I enjoyed an entire mix of. Saw is perfect, makes me think to chainsaw from Ghosts in pin keys club of zombies. They had this kind of music in the background of a destroyed nightclub where a young woman was screaming and a young man was shouting behind one of the closed doors then after all you hear is silence Wham! a zombie comes running at you bloody mouth and hands and all you have is a broken pipe and your messed up on morphine. Crazy trip FR, For an old track it still fits in the "now". Great, thanks for sharing and grabbed me a dl. Peace,Dave

on Phantom by jsyoung83
This is great! Really favor the guitar work you put in. I can imagine the dark ghostly theme about it, never sounded any better! Def gives an impression of a phantom on a mission stuck at this gate, where a choice will have to be made. Will have to check out return of the phantom, to get the whole story down. Very interesting and well brought out. Keep creating and thanks for sharing with us. Peace,Dave

Def ill wit it. Guitars are jamming nicely with that drumming. Good use of vocals in this song. Agree with Destero about hearing this at a beach party scene. on Peril - Recollect by SUDDENSHIFTOFFICIAL
Hello Peril94, The 1st half sounds like a person fading from the grip of reality, intoxicated, delusional, jungle warfare, disorientated, faded, in transition. Cool mixture. The 2nd half tho, that's some funky sounds, the cyborgs system malfunctioning, electrical surges, sounds like a person recreated and be brought back to the grip of reality! Interesting work here, keep going. Thanks for sharing with us. Peace,Dave.

Hi thanks for listening! Glad you liked it :D
And yeah you hit the nail on the head! The intro is about being stuck in the past giving feelings of anxiety as well as losing sense of reality and identity, and the second half is about destroying those feelings and moving on :)

thanks for your feedback it's very much appreciated!

on i can see your eyes by clindsay
Interesting project aside from the first cut. I've heard others use that same voice and I know good tones can be achieved with its usage which is what I hear happening here. The beginning does show a pathway, when the unexpected vocals meet up along the way the path breaks into two. Straying from the original road immediately the music meets up down that way. About half way in the music starts taking control and showing quite a scene of imagination. Can picture this as a soundtrack by how it builds and releases. A lot of good ideas mixed in the second half. This sound does seem one is able to see the views in the ones eyes. Good job and thanks for sharing. Peace,Dave

Thanks Dave - I really appreciate your comments and the analysis of the song. This one is probably my favorite and there is a bit of lucky alchemy in it. The challenge was including all the ideas and tying them together. I have a another mix I'll probably post at some time in the near future. Again, thanks for listening.

on Of darkness and stars by johnnyproducing
Your description has truth within it. A contrast between two sides with equal balance in a gran sense. I do like the keys here, is what pulled me in. When the keys and strings played together sounded vivid sense it allows to pass. Cool melodic arpage. Gives the story more of that contrasting element to glue multiple images together. I think you just created a video out of sound. Good job, thanks for sharing and keep creating those moments in time. Peace,Dave

Hey dave,
Thanks for the comment, I am glad that you could find the contrast in this like I did. It feels like a huge compliment to hear I created a video out of sound, might just be too much but thanks a lot ;)

I will try to keep things like this up but mostly they come to me whenever I feel like it so I can't promise to release a lot of these haha
