on 15 Minutes Isnt All We Can Have by MOONLYTE
I thought you've created something that has a lot of interest invested. The mixture between the varied vocal styles applied really stand out. Overall matches that way you put together the music and leaves a good impression of your message. I dig the ideas about this project. The heavier parts really do give a good kick. Mule kick, a third primary, very coo!

Agreed with what other members have said, just some fine tuning, could be a great performance. Keep going and don't give up what you do. Peace,Dave

Thanks for the listen and comment

on Boss Battle Demo by Anubis
Good showdown. A perfect balance of positive and negative. A driving perc pushing forward. Like how the brass and strings fly across the theme, same as camera movement spotting all players on the board in a suspenseful way. The percussion throughout this programming really is a favorite that makes everything move in swift delivery spreading wide across a 2d map. Also sounds like something I would hear in Mummy type of movie. Very well demonstration Anubis. Thanks for sharing, creative stuff. Peace,Dave

"great scenery, but with the feeling trapped and limited, this insane battle there will be only one, all or nothing."

man, that kind of thing is very cool. =]

I like to use the "Brass" because it gives the feeling of greatness, something colossus

I am very grateful for your comment here, is very welcome.

thank you for such positive words my friend =]

All the best (y)

on Speed of Light by XmafaX
Mafa, you crazy. Like the energy, and lively tone of the guitars. How it was faded in, to begin with then the chugs was perfect. Really enjoyed the guitar layers, your lead and rhythm parts work great together with the drums I thought. Good squealy at 1:58. You've inspired me with this. I gotta try some pinch harmonics now! As an instrumental it's some enjoyable heaviness. Hope some matching vocals find their way to your rocking jam here. If not, it's still badarse. Thanks for sharing and keep creating. Peace.

on Night rain by Anubis
Strongly sent invitation Anubis. Your asked question is more common than it may appear. This night rain of thoughts dropping from the sky sounds well transmitted from its source. Enjoyed the mix of thoughts you've got speaking here. Nicely surrounds that doesn't crowed. Single space that brings elements together "the pulling energy" which you've achieved a great deal with this. Really enjoyed that padded sound you have playing most of the track, constantly evolving into a new form of itself as it plays throughout which is cool. The pace of the space has me a good mental. You have the amazing noises Anubis, Thanks for sharing with all. Keep creating your Peace.

on After the levee broke Zepp Tribute by topvega
This is rocking Tv, your point of view in tribute has done a respectable representation. That guitar holds the two sides on the same team which is great. I can imagine the band jammin this at some local event, but I hear you and the difference works more than what would be expected. I believed it was an actual song from them, now I know the truth. Keep rocking it man and thanks for sharing. Peace.

on Dont Lie To Me ft KnowKontrol by nolochemical
Agreed the music speaks very well on its own. Also with the vocals it brings it closer to the mirror in the mind that allows one to believe its perception. Thoughtful travels, senses breathe here. Nice use of the vocals tho, made it work and time stood still for the full running air time. I can hear this on the radio box. Almost vividly surreal. Thanks for sharing and keep at it! Peace.

on Spivkurl vs DeciBel - Hidden Locked Tight by Spivkurl
I wonder how the idea would sound if you redid the vocals without the auto tune. The parts without it that I was able to hear sounded much better in a clear state but the idea is still a catchy one. I have repeated this twice while I'm reviewing. The instrumentation of this idea sounds hectic (props) lost in the night type sound. I'm not sure what parts of this belong to who in the collaboration between those involved, Not that it's a big deal just curious. Overall, I liked how you worked with the selected theme, a universal question at that! Thanks for sharing and keep at it! Peace.

Spivkurl replied 2nd May 2014 - 11 years ago
Hey, thanks for stopping by to listen and comment! I got that response a lot recently about redoing vocals without autotune, so as of like a monthe ago I've stopped using it altogether with good results. I won't be going back to change the songs with it, as it sort of represents where I was at the time. I really felt a connection with the artificial feel it gave my vocals, now I no longer feel that way. The instrumentation, as I remember was all written by Benham DeciBel, I worked with the mix/master and the vocals. I really appreciate your thorough review! Thanks!

on AWAKENING by dansjoy4
sweet dust! The piano speaks nice in the mix. Nice use of pad with choir to surround, bring the listener in. Excellent around 2:24 that distorted sound adds a nice break to the overall energy. Which was my favorite part of this idea. Interesting mix of sounds Dan, Thanks for sharing and keep at it. Peace.

Dr. MisterSir, You need to get this involved into some games. I can imagine zombie, warfare, outbreak, evil scientist, dreVil, trapped ghosts, graveyards, paranoid city, abandoned cities type of scenario game play that this would work really well for. If you do, send me a message I am down to play it! Very nice thanks for sharing. Peace.

on Outside Looking In by Cestevens1783
Like your sense of placement, a good ear for belonging and representing a communication between different characters conversation. You just make it work, take the listener down a notch become silent. Like a noisy day suddenly silent. Very deep thoughts too, expression can be understood as sure as the sun shinning into lonely room. Excellent combo of loops and direction. Impressed by this one a lot. Keep at it and thanks for sharing. Peace.

on Cryptic Council by Evisma
the midi drum you set up here catches my attention throughout the listen. The guitars are jamming well with interest, sounds like a song i heard some time ago in a place far far away.

The arrangement is solid sounding good. Not sure but it sounds like its missing something. What other instruments have you been messing with? Also I was thinking what if you add a passage of vocal samples to represent a meeting of the cryptic council? Kinda play with the title a bit more. Noticed it does help with the mental side of the scene.

I think the riffs here are badass, maybe one day I could make something good as I hear here. Thanks.

Like the piano, shares some space to step back and let the day be a lil bit easier. No problem as simple arrangement, I thought it worked just right for the type of vocals which was a nice addition. Some chilled music thanks for this time. Keep at it.

on Determined by MOONLYTE
Interesting concept, strong conviction is present with the way the you mixed the loops together then vocals added to the scale brought a familiar listening field I've heard throughout the story of music while being something new, good job. I do hear this continuing into a heavier direction and letting those controlled thoughts loose. Thanks for sharing, keep going.

Def some cool riffs. Dig the talking space. Liked what you did with those voices, agreed does compliment each other and just sounds good with the piece as one. Has some suspense, a wanting to know something more than what it may appear as. Got the mental feeling good with this. Thanks for sharing, keep going.

on - Domain of Thorns - by Anubis
This is outstanding Anubis. Like how the strings sing to us here in your expression through a world of imagination. To rise one must fall, to continue one must fade what I get from this realm. I do enjoy these type of sounds and how you have built together a platform to fall freely of letting go. I sense a beginning and end at this city of thorns but what was extracted while there is will power and belief. I think the low end could be adjusted a bit lower so we can really max this beauty out and feel its power. Nothing else I can say. Thank you for sharing with us friend and keep going with your journey it will be worth it.

on Troubled Minds Ft TheG1t by SeriouslyJoking
I took a step outside my genre comfort zone here and I have no clue how to go about house tracks but I believe you're onto a good start. Did like the track when started, dig the vocal message right away. Crazy piano getting down ha, that was nice. That bass drop was heavy unexpected but thought it was a clever addition. For opinion to improve not really sure, maybe after hearing the drums in there everything will be just fine for the next step. Cool start thanks for sharing, Keep going after rest.

on Memory lane by yappy
Good piece of the mix, like how you used the loops. That guitar gives a steady pace chill and ez to follow which is always nice. I like the drums you're using sets the mood. Interesting use of those perc hits in the background and the layering works. Cool what you have done so far with this section. Thought I should mention while listening I had to put treb and bass levels at 0 and lower the volume control due to the bass pushing heavy on my speakers, possibly could be my system acting up. Keep going, thanks for the share.

Hello,
Thnx for taking time to listen and the feedback of course. This is important because we are all still learning. You are correct about the bass. I have the same. Though, this is still a rough mix and a lot of work needs to be done to get the right balance.
The titel is Memory lane and speaks for itself I think. The drums are a bit ''stamping'' if you know what I mean because looking back to positive/negative memories it's always important to ''move on''. I think those drums are perfect to express that.

Thnx again for the feedback!

on Fine Print by Corey666
Hey, I don't think this is that odd. The beginning piece sounds like a transition from a previous song that leads into the second piece. A drastic change of view but the order of what you have started here does work. You could make the sections transition better but I believe this could turn into a heavy type of track. Dark sky trouble in our mind that blind the sight from covered eyes. Or as it is could go well for audio description to a painters tunnel of mixed thoughts. I receive many options of directions you could further develop the idea into, reminds me of the type of sounds I heard over at audiosparks art site. Keep adding to this beginning, the fine print reveals more than one would pick up right away.

This track came out real good. Hypes up the listener ready to break loose. Eagle eye view and jnaut presence. The instrumental moves the listener along and the lyrical messages are fitting for their role and message. Who's the mc that you hear most of? Lead the track well.
