on Between Silence by Denjan
That is pretty cool, sounds like waves crashing among the rocks casting a ship between the mountains passages drifting to some undiscovered place.

Really enjoyed the way you began this and the 2nd half how it comes together was entertaining for the body and refreshing for the mind.

Thought you did well this time with your choices and thoughts. Would say this is near solid, all I'm missing is the moving pictures that will illustrate this audible wind. Thank you for sharing, Enjoyed the trip between silence and action. Keep at it, Peace.

on SpacyBonestype feat Fracas Grimm by facasgrimm
How this freestyle starts up is really nice, has some suspense to it waiting for it to drop. The freestyle raw energy and delivery I liked but sounds like if you pushed the mid frequency up some it might make the vocals sound a little more clear. I get that it's a freestyle but the quality and effects takes some interest off. Dig the whole idea with the track still.

You did a lot better with this freestyle than the last one I've heard from you some time back. The instrumental and vocals matched up in a good way I though. Maybe the export bitrate is holding this one back. Nice work to you both. Hope you get some more collabs going, you have a sound I can hear making some good noise. Keep at it, Peace.

Thank you for your words. I appreciate your input . I really don't do enough producing to know how to adjust the mid frequency like you said. I use a headseat mic and blame my issues on that, lol. Thank you for listening and helping me with your suggestions. Much respect! www.soundcloud.com/fracasgrimm480

on paradox by drastikdan
Thought it was a good idea to use paradox as the piano theme. Gives it an interesting character and I liked the view with this setting. The musical form itself allows me to see a series of paradox theories which could all be fused together.

Enjoying listening to the different piano pieces speaking with each other, and the fact it's in good standing within its current form. Beautiful mess. Thank you for letting us hear it. Stay creative. Peace.

on Answer is JESUS by AlexisSofield
Know it's hard to place the mix in one genre but I would agree Electronic might be the temp default genre for this kind of idea.

For the track itself I liked how you used Eshars pella. It amps up the sounds a lot. Thought it was cool how you did the intro here, probably my favorite piece.

Good levels for each part. The piano is what really caught my attention the most good job. The view I get from this is a space ship all damaged up under attack as it flees to a far off planet to escape the imperials army. Before going down the ship sends out a radio message to all other rebel ships scattered in the galaxy this prayer. Very nice, thanks for sharing! Peace.

AlexisSofield replied 27th Sep 2014 - 11 years ago
I love the impression you got from this song. The space ship flee g with last prayer. AWESOME! Thanks for input. It's encouraging. I guess my work is electronic. That's what I gather from members input. I'll make some more. Thanks again

on Proximal Vicinity Spivkurl Mix 13B Master B by Spivkurl
You did a good job with bass on this project, like the fact the way you editing the levels allows the user to gain control over the high and lows in a sync'd way with my setup. Solid bass here as well as clarity. Thought you did rather well with the ending piece. comes together with a finale when listening to the tracks levels throughout. Nice masters. Thanks for sharing, Peace.

Spivkurl replied 26th Sep 2014 - 11 years ago
Hey, thank you friend! It was nice to read your feedback on this one. I felt like the bass stem was one of the highest quality of the bunch, and lent itself to almost any sort of mixing style, so I tried to enhance that part. Also, I was trying to enable a building of potency towards the end of the track, and I think it worked okay. I probably won't be updating this one, as I've been working myself to the bone lately patching painting and setting up a new bedroom in the extension, as well as a collab track which hasn't gotten nearly enough of my time. Looking forwarf to listening to your new version!

on Proximal Vicinity by Psychedeletribe
Liked what you did with the mix at 1:36 - 2:24, favorite edit of that piece. The track has good space as mentioned before, the bass is a treat, not too loud but room for volume gain on the users end. At 3:20 that reversed fade in? idea really brought a nice transition to the final piece. Cool mix and thanks for sharing, Peace.

on PROXIMAL VICINITY by strscottT
It is a clean mix, solid low end from most of the other entries and clarity overall. With my setup the bass can get very loud but still holds together. The level differences between the piano and guitar are close enough to greet each other yet stand apart, been having trouble with that on my take of the project. Thanks for sharing, Peace.

on joes real final minimal master - SBM comp by joecramer
Thought it was really cool how you did the break at 3:12, my favorite edit of that specific piece. The ending that falls after is really good, the mix's overall progress is getting more interesting as it goes. Heard a couple of your takes on this project and agree that this is the most interest so far. No suggestions I have in mind, thanks for sharing, Peace.

This -so far- sets me a little under pressure :)

Lets see where it all ends.

And let me say that it is real friendly from you, that you spent so much time into listening to all this diffrent versions that are out there in this comp and give almost everyone some comments. Thanks a lot for that!

on Proximal Vicinity-SBM-EPYKmuzik Remaster by ThaEpyk1
Heavy bass presence nice to hear. The mix is loud but clear listening and seeing what you did with the track. Not bad for beginning mastering works. at 3:28 I like how you got that part down, that distortion? really adds a nice mixture to the sound. I would have liked to hear the drums up front a bit more but this is still cool, more of ambient type of capture. Thanks for sharing. Peace.

on angel watching me demo by larrybarrow31
Agreed with Ed's comments. The instrumentation is phat and focused. Vocals lead this song in the most good to hear ways. Pace and delivery connects, hooks, and sticks 'Got an angel watchin over me' truth heard and I believe in it. Everyday they walkin with us watchin then guiding us. Good connection between music and lyrical topics that kept me interesting and coming back. Grabbed a dl for the road and one of those instant favorites by you. Now that's a demo! Thanks for sharing, much needed to hear. Hope the final comes through clean, Peace.

Agree with what Shatner said about the track. Good ole west coast ish. Streets of LA type of groove. Imagine some smooth chorus type to this more than verses. It works for both though. Interesting share E, Thanks. Peace.

on I Know Its Wrong Revised by terrancet
This piece has a nice connection with each sound present. Good looping points and the levels are near solid. The only thing I can suggest for improvement is to try using an eq to push the mid section up front a bit. I do like the overall tone but needs some air in the gut to hold this powerful presence of piece you've shared with us. A must listen for the full track when it's available. Interesting ideas here and good efforts. Thanks for sharing, Peace.

terrancet replied 6th Sep 2014 - 11 years ago
Thanks. I thought so too. Every element I put in this track has a purpose. I think i needs more but I am just going to ride with what it is now. But yeah the boost in the mids would probably get rid of the over sibilant sound i keep hearing. Thanks for the advice and listen.

on Something New by Cestevens1783
Dayum haha agree with that, its missing your style of vocals. Could be a new experience this time, who knows. Good selection of loops, seems the connection to make with them. Not sure if I am trippin but I hear a female voice effects at various parts of the track. 2:40 nice one and the return same in reality is a nice surprise. Not sure for adjustments besides some vocal lines. Thanks for sharing. Peace.

Hey again! I always plan to add vocals to these kind of tracks, but end up doing otherwise, maybe because I am not really good at mixing the vocal so it sounds right, or what not, but I need to try it, glad you had a listen :) Hope all is well on your end.

on State Of Mind Updated by DijamMusic
Neat, something fresh and interesting. The mix is good, I liked the layers under that main synth. Sounds complex yet simple at best. For useful critiq I am unsure how to further this track more while keeping the same vibe with interest. Listening and one cannot think of additional placements due to indulgence in current form of this state of mind. There will be others that have the right info for you, as a listener the experience was worth of its time. Thanks for the share, Peace.

on Time To Go by BrandonMichelle
Yes it was one hell of a bumpy ride. "One step more, I think it is time to go" You have the right words here and the musical company helped achieve what you set out to do. The effect samples complete the package and thankful I got to hear it before I go. Thank you much for the share, a worthy listen and meaningful moment. Hope the best. Peace.
DesignedImpression
This music is strangely powerful with its gentleness and slow burning of the moment. This collaboration is a must hear, because of the attention to share a connection of two that understand and hopeful with what it may achieve. I do hope you both continue on. The vocal direction and musical company travel together just right that allow this mindless zombie in its search for fresh blood to be drawn into that corner of the street you two play, listening and changing.

Really enjoy the acoustic and voice of this music. Thank you. Peace.

on Cootchie Sewage by SubFreq
The way you spoke the strange message was brought with an interesting sound. The instrumental backing was definitely making me hear what's up. At 0:54 was a cool piece that really goes with the instrumental. The verses effects are cool, maybe some hi eq on em would make a better appeal. The backing beat really hooked me in. Thanks, Peace.

Good quality track. Way off from what I was thinking it would sound, did a nice job with the ideas. That bass all in your face, respectively titled. Funny tune in a sense. Hey, Sounds like the steps to begin releasing and starting livin/troubledsome mind. A good mixture. Some root music (some roots fade in the fire, while some keep strong to its nature) Expic track, imagine a place where the people go and hear this play their to the night of forgetting. Still getting to other genres. Thanks for posting. Keep making em. Peace.

on That Magical Place by StaticNomad
Hey, Surprising developments you've been onto. Heck yeah, knew you could achieve the magic structure to carry it through. Imprinted static space station. My opinion a perfect illustration. Dig all the cool and fun sections throughout. A weird trip, fun though. Smooth and enjoyable when things thin out again when it comes back heavy its own age. Nice balance with the levels. 3:40 that is my favorite part. What stringed instrument did you use there? Banjo? Syntar? Really cool man. Props for the inspirational chill. Keep livin it shares interesting stories.. Peace.
StaticNomad
StaticNomad replied 8th Aug 2014 - 11 years ago
Greetings. Glad you liked the magic structure.

Space stations are best when they're static and not moving about too much otherwise it's harder for other spaceships to enter them (I guess).

Not sure what an imprinted static space station is. Maybe one with my imprint in it?

"3:40 that is my favorite part"

3:33 is when the second resonator guitar joins the first one (which has been playing since 2:52). And then they do a bit of duelling, as I said in the track description.

I supose that second slide resonator could actually be a banjo or sitar, as you suggest, as it has a slightly strange (but cool) tone to it.

"inspirational chill" is hopefully what I'm all about. This gets pretty busy and intense but I think it has fat, fun chilling at its core.

This track's big, epic brother coming to Looperman next week. See if you can spot some of the similarities in sounds and instruments used.

The vocals in now speak its spell on these ears. She asks me "why would you give up when you're so close" I says mi lady you no understand this lie we live is the only truth we will know while we stay in this cell called life. The music is a nice link to the vocals as is, hope you find what you need for the song is real good so far. Thanks for sharing, the instrumentation is effective. Peace.

Day-um that some heavy subs, it rattles the place alright! I think the levels are good for the most part. I had to adjust my receiver to full treble (10) and bass (-5) to get a stable level of heavy and clarity if I wanted to turn the track up to bump. Not a problem since we all have different systems. Not sure how one would accurately set the subs in a track like this but I think it might be a fraction too loud. Nice Arabian like vocal piece that gave a cool vibe to the mix. Nonetheless it still knocks, Thanks for sharing, Keep at it, Peace.
